Ok, so April 20th, 2017, my orchestra and I went to NYSSMA majors. It's an evaluation performance for us.
There are ratings: lowest participation, then bronze, silver, gold. Highest (pretty rare) gold with distinction.

Our pieces were Conquistador! By Deborah Baker Monday, Out of the Winter By Larry Clark, and Bach Country Fiddles By Richard Meyer.

We were off to a rough start and we're certain to not get anything high. While we played, we were very nervous. On our way back to our actual school, we certain saying things like "We're not even getting participation"

We arrived at school, sat down, waited for our teacher to tell us the result. She talked to us on that she was proud. Then, she revealed.
