======================================================================

Loren had left Fairy Tail to themselves so she could fetch Lores and bring him back.  When she reached the place he was unconscious, Loren stopped for a minute in relief.

We're finally free...  She thought, smiling with relief.  But...that doesn't change the things we did.

Kneeling, Loren looked at Lores' face.  Happy her brother was okay, Loren shook his shoulder, making him stir.  Before he was fully awake, however, she wrapped her arm around his shoulders, lifting him up to his feet.

Lores blinked a few times.  "Are they...still here?"

Loren nodded, smiling.  "Yes.  But...they lost their friend, Lucy.  I need you to help me open a portal to The Black Stars, so Natsu can go inside and save her."

"You know that's a big risk,"  Lores replied huskily, pushing away from her gently to try and walk on his own.

Loren looked at him.  "Lores, if you saw the determination in Salamander's eyes..."  She looked ahead, where Natsu and the other's figures resided across the chasm.  "...You'll believe that this is a once and a lifetime chance.  If Natsu can't save her, no one can."

"So you believe he cannot?"  Lores asked.

Loren shook her head, and they continued to walk on.  "I believe he can one hundred percent."

There was a small silence, but then Lores smirked.  It wasn't one filled with evil like earlier, but gentleness and relief.

"They released us.  The least we can do is help them."  Lores replied, and Loren nodded.

"I couldn't have agreed more."

Natsu and the others turned when Loren appeared with Lores, and the two siblings stopped.

Lores then stepped forward, looking at everyone.  "I'll gladly help.  But first, let me apologize as well.  I'm sorry for causing trouble, as well.  Thank you, Fairy Tail, for saving Fiore."

Everyone looked content, and they all nodded.

Lores' face turned serious, and he turned to Natsu, who didn't waver.  His face stayed determined, too.

"Natsu Dragneel, Loren and I will open the portal.  When you emerge, be expecting anything."

"Right."  Natsu replied.

"After we close it when Natsu is inside,"  Loren began.  "I can open a projector for us to see Natsu as he's going through his journey."

"It's so the rest of you can have a little reasurrance while he's in there."  Lores replied.

"Thank you."  Erza replied.  "That would help out a lot."

Nodding, Loren and Lores turned to each other.

"Let's go."  They said simultaneously.

Loren and Lores stood next to each other, their left hands facing outward.  As Lores began speaking softly, Loren clenched her eyes tight, since they were already closed yet loose.

Natsu and everyone watched a ways away, their expressions determined; especially Natsu's.

Slowly but surely, the air started to move in front of the two dragon slayers, and the wind started to pick up within' a quarter mile radius.

"Look at that!"  Happy exclaimed, pointing to the front of Loren and Lores.

A white stitching had appeared in front of them, right in the very air.  It spinned and twisted like a vine, though it shined with yellow light.

Lores opened his eyes, and using his hand, cut through it in the blink of an eye.  It split in two, and a bright light appeared, making the others shield their eyes.  When it cleared, there was just an oval in the air, shining white light out the inside and sides of it.

"It's done."  Lores replied, and the two both took a few steps back.

"Are you ready, Natsu?"  Wendy asked, hugging Carla in her arms.

Natsu nodded, grinning slightly and also softly.  "Ah.  Don't worry, you guys; I'll bring Lucy back, I promise."

"We know you will."  Erza replied.

"Good luck, Flame Brain."

Stepping in front of the gate, Natsu clenched his hands as he took a step forward.

Lucy...

The Black Stars had been changed.  It was only dark everywhere, with no sense of direction.  There were a few stars around, but nothing to make anyone who came there or resided there comfortable.  It wasn't pretty; just spotted.  It seemed to be quiet, but there were hundreds of Shadows Monsters gliding about.  Strangely, there was gravity, but it was like an invisible floor.

The air seemed to be dyed red, making it seem like there was a small fog around.

Suddenly, there was a loud battle cry, and in mid-air a light erupted into existence, showering the newcomer in bright light.  The Shadow Monsters cringed in repundance; light was a weakness to them.  Though the white light disappeared behind the traveler, he made his own.

Lighting his fists, Natsu's eyes were intense as he plummeted to the ground, slamming his fists into the ground which caused an explosion.  At least fifty of the monsters were killed, disappearing into nothing.  Dropping to the ground, Natsu had his teeth clenched and his fist up.  Smoke - strangely - emenated behind him and also around him, like a blow on ground would.

It truly was strange.

From impact, another explosion emitted behind him, and more Shadow Monsters were destroyed.  They screeched and roared in either confusion, pain, or frustration.  They wanted the free meal that had suddenly been given to them.

However, they weren't going to get their meal today.

"Fire Dragon's Roar!"

Natsu let fire erupt from his mouth, spinning in a circle as the Shadow Monsters tried to advance.  They couldn't get to him, and ended up making a circle around him to try and get what they wanted.  But they couldn't reach him; yet, anyways.

Suddenly stopping his attack, Natsu rose his head into the air.

"Lucy!  If you can hear me, I'm coming for you!"  He exclaimed.  "Keep fightin'; I'm going to save you!"

He wasn't sure Lucy heard him or not, but he really didn't have time to think about it; the monsters were closing in.

Time to get to work.

"Bring it on!"  Natsu exclaimed.  "I'll take you all on, and then go after Vallen!"

Natsu looked around, knowing Vallen was there somewhere.  "Get ready, Vallen!  I'm going to smack your face in when I see you!"

Natsu turned back to the Shadow Monsters around him, and his expression hardened.

Lighting his fists on fire, Natsu charged.  "Let's go!"
