============================================================

Lucy came to a sudden stop, panting as she let her eyes drag up the building in the middle of the city.  Magnolia Bookstore, it read; Lucy walked somewhat quickly to the door, looking around as she came to a stop a ways in front of the door.  It was smaller than the one that Lucy went to regularly; two shelves lined the walls and there were stairs across the room that led to the second floor of books.  However, there was a desk on the other side of the room, and an employee was residing behind it, scanning books and setting them in stacks.

Lucy jogged lightly over to the woman; she had short black hair and was wearing a library uniform.

"Excuse me,"  Lucy stated.  "I'm here to talke to the manager?  Mr. Fuira Tsuner?"

The woman stopped, looking up from her work.  "He's in the back; follow me."

Turning around, the librarian left abruptly around the corner, and Lucy stumbled after her.  Mary - Lucy saw the woman's name tag - opened the door that came into view, and it swung up to show a man in his eighties sitting behind his desk.  He had glasses on the tip of his nose, and he was writing something on a piece of parchment with stacks of paper scattered on his desk.

"Fuira, you have a visitor."

Fuira Tsuner looked up from his paperwork, and smiled warmly at Lucy.  "Ah, come in child.  What can I do for you?  I don't get visitors very often, otherwise this place would be clean!"  Mary shut the door behind her, leaving Lucy and Fuira alone.

Lucy bowed slightly in respect.  "I don't mind at all.  And thank you for seeing me."

"No problem dear.  Why don't you have a seat?"

Nodding gratefully, Lucy sat in the chair facing Fuira's desk, her face strained and preoccupied.

"Now,"  Fuira set his things aside.  "What can I do for you, child?"

"I met your granddaughter..."  Lucy started, eager to ask Fuira questions.

The old man chuckled.  "Ah, dear old Emily.  Yes, and what about her?"

Lucy continued.  "Well, she told me about an old folke tale you tell her every now and then...T-The Legend of Daronyt?"

Fuira slapped the edge of his desk in amusement and remembrance, slightly making Lucy jump.  "Ah, yes!  I just told her that story a few days ago."

"Well, could you please tell me the same story?"  Lucy asked urgently.  "I need to know all about it!"

He paused.  "Why are you so interested, my dear?"

Lucy stopped, wondering how much she should say.

But before she could say anything, Fuira waved it off.  "Doesn't matter to me, that much.  I'm always happy to spread the tale of Daronyt.  I will tell you the legend."

Lucy sighed with relief, smiling.  "Thank you."

Fuira nodded.  "Well, the story starts a long time ago, about two thousand years into the past..."

"What?!"  Natsu yelled, slamming his hands against the top of the wooden table.  "You can't be serious!"

"I'm afraid I am."  Makarov replied, his arms crossed stressfully.

"Is that future really a possibility?"  Wendy squeaked, hugging Carla close for comfort.

Makarov paused for a moment, and the guild members waited for an answer from him.  "Zeke could have been playing with Lucy's mind, but we need to expect all the possibilities."

Lucy walking into the woods with Makarov with her face haunted slowly breezed through Natsu's mind, and he clenched his hands tightly on the table.  "So she really was upset all along..!"

"Calm down, Natsu."  Erza muttered, despite the disbelieving awe on her face.

"Is there anyway to stop this from happening?"  Natsu growled, not only urgency on his face but slight anger.

"I hate to say it, but no.  Considering how Zeke just disappeared and hasn't returned yet, and how little we know."

"Then we need to find out much more information."  Erza replied, her face stern yet stressed.

"Where's Lucy?"  Happy mewed, his eyes worried as he floated in the air.

Everyone stopped, looking at Makarov.

"She said she had to take care of something, and then just left."  Makarov stated.  "I would have stopped her and asked for a location, but..."

"But what?"  Gray asked.

Makarov looked toward the slowly rebuilding guild.  "Something told me to leave her alone for awhile."

Natsu slammed his fist onto the table, getting a really bad feeling.  "We gotta find Lucy, and now!"

"I agree."  Erza replied, standing.  "Knowing what she must be going through...she needs her friends with her."

Everyone couldn't agree more, and Natsu started following her fading scent from the back of the guild and into the woods.

With Erza, Gray, Wendy, and the two exceeds following after him.

"To be honest child, everyone lived in peace and harmony in those days.  No strife, no hunger...truly the only time I think the world really was at peace."  Fuira replied, and Lucy listened intently.

"Then came along a man who mastered in Dark Magic; one of the first and certainly the most powerful dark mage in history.  He summoned the monster from the depths of the otherworld."

"Otherworld?"  Lucy asked, confused.

Fuira nodded.  "Or known in history as the Etoiles Noires; the Black Stars."

The Black Stars..?  Lucy repeated in her mind, her eyes widening slightly.

Fuira messed with the corner of his wooden desk as if bored.  "The Black Stars is said to be the opposite world of the Celestial Spirit World."  He looked Lucy over.  "I see you are a celestial spirit wizard.  They are becoming rare now adays.  So you can understand where I'm coming from more than others, can't you?"

Lucy nodded, still in awe.

"Etoiles Noires is a place where anything evil can be created and summoned.  Somewhat like the Celestial Spirit World.  However, it's as if Etoiles Noires is a mirror of that world.  The Celestial Spirit World is the Light World, or the Lumière Royaume.  While Etoiles Noires is the Dark World.  They swirl on two opposite sides of the world, sometimes scraping together once every millennia to create large opportunities to either perform powerful light or dark spells.  In other words, a perfect replica of Ying and Yang.  And on one of those days is when the summoner of Daronyt decided to recover the giant beast."

"No way..."  Lucy breathed, her pupils contracting into small black dots.

Fuira nodded.  "It's true, m'dear.  And once the monster was created, well...it was indestructable."

"If that's true..if it really was unbeatable...then how was it defeated in the end?"

Fuira scowled slightly.  "This is where it gets a little bland, my dear.  A random mage user who contained a strange power came along, and defeated Daronyt all on his own."

"What strange power??"  Lucy insisted, desperately wanting to know more.

The old man paused for a moment.  "He seemed to know that Daronyt would be summoned, and used knowledge alone to take him out."

"What?"  Lucy breathed, confused.  "There's gotta be more than that!"

Fuira shook his head.  "Really, there isn't.  It'll remain a mystery until someone can prove it really happened or how the hero stopped Daronyt.  That is what legends are, no?"

Lucy clutched the arms of the chair tightly in stress and other mixed emotions.  "But.."  She murmured to herself.  "...this barely answers anything!"  She looked back up at Fuira.  "Tell me the stuff he did.  What he looked like!"

"This is where it stops!"  Natsu exclaimed, coming to a stop in front of a store.

"A book store?"  Erza murmured.

Happy looked slightly confused.  "Why would Lucy want to come to a book store?"

"I dunno, but let's go in!"  Natsu exclaimed, taking a step forward to walk inside.

The door sung open, and Lucy appeared out of it.

Everyone came to an abrupt stop.  "Lucy!"  They exclaimed, seeing her standing there.

Lucy's eyes widened in surprise.  "Everyone!  What're you doing here at the book store?"

"Following you!"  Erza exclaimed, relief evident in her voice; she was glad to see Lucy wasn't in any immediate harm or trouble.

Gray's face was strained.  "Makarov told us about what Zeke showed you."

Lucy's face saddenned incredibly, and everyone was getting ready to hit Gray for being so blunt; even Natsu.

"Oh."  Was all Lucy said, looking down at the ground.  Sighing, she sank to her knees, dropping down into a sitting position on the steps.  "I see."

"Lucy, did you really see all those things?"  Wendy asked, still clutching onto Carla like a lifeline.

Lucy nodded, leaning against the side of the cement building.  She suddenly felt really tired.  "Yes."

Everyone was silent for a moment, the news sinking in.

"Well, maybe it won't happen!"  Wendy suddenly exclaimed, trying to lighten the mood.  "Like Makarov said, maybe it's just Zeke trying to mess with us to get an advantage!"

Lucy shook her head.  "No.  I don't think it was."

"Then what are we supposed to do?  The creature thing you saw is obviously going to cause destruction right?"  Gray asked, his hands in his pockets.

"I haven't been able to figure out anything yet."  Lucy murmured, frustrated with herself.  "All I know is the name of the monster I saw."

"You do?"  Carla asked.  "What is it?"

Lucy blinked slowly.  "Daronyt."
