You weren't exactly a girl that had been in a lot of relationships, there had only been one serious relationship prior to the one you were in and that broke down due to him moving away from Mystic Falls.

Mystic Falls had definitely been an interesting place in which to grow up – everyone knew everyone, it wasn't possible for a random person to arrive and just slip under the radar.

The founding families had always been considered as high above the rest of the residents, and even though they didn't use their 'power' they might have had, everyone knew who the founding families were and not to mess with them.

You were a Lockwood so everyone knew who you were – your Mum was the mayor, and your brother was the classic high school jock but you were the one that stayed quiet a lot of the time.

Your boyfriend also happened to be in a founding family, Jeremy Gilbert.

When you told Tyler about your relationship, he was surprisingly okay with it and you were thankful to have Tyler's support for when you told your Mum.

Due to Tyler staying at Caroline's, and your Mum out of town, you had gone to stay with Jeremy, Alaric and Elena for a few days.

You and Jeremy were just cuddling on his bed, not really doing much or talking about anything in particular.

Suddenly, Jeremy's door opened "Jer, have you seen Elena?" Bonnie asked as she walked into the room but then she stopped short when she saw you with him "Oh...uh...sorry" she quickly apologised.

Bonnie walked out of the room and practically ran down the stairs "Bonnie!" you called out to her as you followed her down the stairs.

She turned around and sighed "I didn't realise Jeremy had you round" she told you as she crossed her arms.

You shook your head "I wasn't on about that" you stated "I...I know that you and Jeremy were together" you said slightly cautiously "I don't want to step on your toes or anything by being here, I can just leave" you told her and you heard Jeremy coming down the stairs behind you.

Bonnie smiled slightly, as if she was grateful for what you were saying, "No. You don't need to leave" she dismissed your comment "Jeremy and I were together, yes, but we did break up and it's inevitable that he's going to move on" she explained.

You felt Jeremy slip his arm around your waist "Yes, but not with one of your friends" you spoke softly as you didn't want to upset Bonnie or lose her friendship.

Bonnie made her way to the door and placed her hand on the door handle "It's fine Y/N, honestly" she reassured you "I know you'll make him happy, and that's all I care about"
