It was rare that you and your fiancé got a Sunday off together. You had big plans to spend the day in your pyjamas, watching films and relaxing the day away. However when you made your way to the lounge in the morning you had hoped to see it still intact, ready for your pyjama day on the sofa. Clearly someone was against that idea. A bra (that certainly wasn't yours) and a few male garments were strewn messily around the living room, along with all of the cushions that were once in perfect order along the sofa.

You let out a sigh, trying to contain your annoyance for the lodger that had made the spare room their home. Hearing footsteps behind you, you had hoped it was him, so that you could tell him to be more considerate about where he fooled around with women.

"Caleb!" You said forcefully, spinning on your heal.

Rather than it being him, it was an unfamiliar woman, her hair askew, shoes in hand. Her eyes widened at the sight of you.

"Oh... urm... I'm sorry... I didn't know," she said quickly, giving you a pleading expression.

Keeping it at arm's length, you held her bra out towards her.

"I'm assuming this is yours," you stated.

"I didn't know he had a girlfriend... if I did I would not have gone home with him," she said frantically clutching hold of her underwear.

"He doesn't have a girlfriend. His personality is very flawed. He just lives in the spare room as he lives with me and his brother," you explained not wanting to take any annoyance out on her as it wasn't her fault.

"Oh..." she hesitated. "I... I need to go... tell him I'm sorry for leaving."

With that she scurried away, closing the front door behind her. You stood staring at the front door, trying to contain your annoyance, not particularly wanting to have to wake him up as you doubted he would be decent.

"Are you in the middle of an argument with the front door?" A soft voice spoke as arms wrapped around your shoulders.

You smiled, raising a hand to rest on his arm.

"No. Just questioning how your brother convinces women to come back with him. This one actually seemed nice," you said softly.

Ethan spun you in his arms so that you were facing him. You leaned up kissing his lips.

"I'm sure he'll move out soon," he said attempting to reassure you of the fact, not that he had been living with the two of you for nearly a year now.

"I told you we should have just gotten that puppy," you sighed. "If you wanted a pet, you didn't have to pick that one."

He chuckled, holding you close.

"Don't worry, we can get a puppy one day, or maybe a cat. But for now we have a Cal, I don't think he could handle living on his own, I'm surprised he is even a competent doctor," he shrugged. "Now to make it up to you, would you like some breakfast?"

You nodded your head but before you could talk another male voice cut in.

"Food sounds good."
