You knew that Leonard was very close with his friends, they were more like his family and he obviously cared about what they told him.

Also, given the fact that he was still friends with his ex, you understood why he was cautious to introduce you.

You never minded that Leonard was friends with Penny still, he had a life before he met you and you had the same plus she must be a great girl if he continues to be friends with her.

For the past six months, you and Leonard had been in a relationship after having met whilst he was flying back from Texas as he had gone with Sheldon to visit his family.

You never expected a relationship to develop with the guy you met on the plane, but you most definitely weren't complaining because he was a great guy.

Six months was a long time to have been in a relationship and have not met the guy's friends that he considered family.

After your begging and complaining that had been going on for three months, your boyfriend had finally agreed to take you to his apartment and introduce you to everyone.

The two of you were on your way to his apartment block, with Leonard driving, "You're not nervous, are you?" he questioned as you approached the building.

You shook your head with a smile on your face "Nope. I'm quite excited to be meeting them, granted I probably won't say much" you told him causing him to laugh.

He parked on the road outside of the apartment block, and the two of you got out of the car, "Remember the lift is broken so we've got to climb the stairs" he explained as he held the door open for you.

You smirked "I'll race you" you challenged as you took off running up the stairs.

Leonard was quick to follow you, the two of you being neck and neck for a minute but you eventually won it but the both of you collapsed with laughter as you reached his floor.

"That was fun" you managed to talk in between laughs.

You both got up and Leonard smiled "Come on" he told you as he intertwined his fingers with yours.

He unlocked the door, pushing it open to reveal all of his friends inside that turned their attention to you when they realised Leonard had walked in with someone new.

"Who's this?" a woman with a high-pitched voice and curly blonde hair asked, looking confused.

The man who was sat next to her nodded in agreement "Yeah Leonard, who is she?" he asked as he put his arm around the woman.

Leonard smiled and squeezed your hand reassuringly "This is Y/N. She's my girlfriend" he told them all simply.

They all looked extremely surprised, but the man who was sat on the floor smiled up at him "Congratulations Leonard" he commented with a distinct Indian accent.

You turned to Leonard and he realised that you had no clue who any of these people were, apart from Sheldon who was sat in his usual spot, "There's Raj" he told you as he pointed to the Indian man "Bernadette and Howard" he introduced the couple that spoke initially "Amy" the girl next to Sheldon smiled as Leonard spoke "You know who Sheldon is, and then there's Penny" he finished by motioning to the girl he previously dated and was sat in the armchair.

She smiled over at you "It's nice to meet you" she greeted before taking a sip of her drink.

Leonard went to get a chair, which he sat down on and you sat on his lap whilst everyone was looking at the two of you in curiosity.

"So...how did the two of you meet?" Amy questioned, breaking the silence in the room.

You turned to Leonard who had a smile on his face, "When we were on our way back from getting Sheldon from Texas, I sat next to Y/N on the plane" he gently rubbed circles on your hip as he talked.

Howard had a confused expression across his face "But weren't you sat with Sheldon?" he questioned causing Sheldon to shake his head.

Everyone's attention then turned to Sheldon "No. I was seated in front of Leonard" he explained simply.

"I just can't believe Leonard has a girlfriend again" Raj spoke up, with a smile on his face.

Penny laughed and smiled at the two of you "It is anything can happen Thursday"
