Valorant One Shot

"Congratulations y/n, I think that this might just be some of your finest work yet. It is potent enough to melt its way through just about everything we have tested it on." Sabine held the almost iridescent contents of the test tube up to the fluorescent bulbs of her lab and smirked at the potential of your latest concoction.

"Do not forget about the fumes..." You couldn't help but smile as you had finally made something good enough to earn your tutor's approval.

"Ah of course, even with my mask I don't think I could have dealt with it for much longer than the few moments of testing we did together. Please do remind me, I will have to make some small alterations to that before we bring this into the field, the last thing I want is a mask malfunction at the wrong time... wouldn't that be embarrassing?" Viper chuckled as she sat the tube carefully into its rack. "You should be really proud of yourself y/n, in fact, I think you should present this one yourself." Your gaze shot over to Sabine.

"I... can't say I'm so sure about that!" In a fluster you reached over to the test tube. "I mean they might have questions and even now I can barely even remember the formula..." Your fingers grasped the top of the tube, you nestled it in your hand and in your panic did not notice you had begun clutching your fist.

"Y/n." Sabine's nostrils rose to the air. "Can you smell something... it kind of has a burning flesh smell to it?" The shattered remains of the tube clattered to the floor along with an emerald-green puddle, a harsh dark smoke billowed from the rubber mats. "Oh my god y/n! Quick, get to the sink." Sabine carefully ushered you over to the emergency sink. "Just don't look!" She quickly ran your hand under the water. "Are you okay, does it hurt?"

"Well Sabine..." You muttered through clenched teeth as your hand felt as if it was going to burn into nothingness. "Yes, believe it or not, it is quite sore. But, on the bright side, it works. It works very well in face, I think this is exactly the thing we have been working so hard to produce. Controlled enough to store in the vials for transport and use, volatile enough to cause some serious damage, and this was only a few drops, we can get this patched up but imagine what a whole vial of this could do!"

"I am so glad you are my apprentice." Sabine chuckled.
