Being in the Glade was difficult to begin with, it was so much to get used to and not being able to remember anything apart from your own name was one of the worst things that could have happened.

You wished that you could remember your life – where you came from, who your family was, what you loved to do, if you had that special someone.

But you couldn't. There wasn't a possibility for you to remember all of that, and you had grown used to the fact that the Glade was your life now and the Gladers were your family.

They said that you couldn't choose your family, but you felt like you had as you were surrounded by people who you cared about and were close to.

You were lucky to have found Teresa, she meant a lot to you and you were happy to be in a relationship with her even if it wasn't the best place to be in a relationship.

You had been up at the lookout for over an hour, you had lost count of how long you had actually been up there but it was just relaxing to be up there by yourself.

From the lookout, you could see all of the Glade, what everyone was doing and where they all were.

Minho and Thomas were out in the maze, Gally was doing whatever he usually did, Newt was in the gardens and Alby was helping Frypan out but you didn't know where Teresa was.

"Hey" someone's voice from behind you caused you to jump and turn around.

You came face to face with your smiling girlfriend, who sat next to you and dangling her legs over the side just as you were.

She rested her head on your shoulder "Why are you up here?" she asked out of curiosity.

You kissed her hair and she then raised her head to look at you "I was just thinking about everything. And it's nice to be able to look over the Glade, even though we're in such an enclosed space it still feels so big y'know" you explained.

She nodded in agreement "I sometimes wonder about the places where all of us grew up" she told you as she rested her arms on the railings of the lookout.

You giggled slightly before copying what she was doing "I just wish I could remember where I came from, I love the people here and I know we're basically working for our survival but the majority of the time it's great" you swung your legs a little as you spoke.

She sighed and looked out over the Glade "Being here is amazing but a part of me knows something is missing"
