It was 9:00 when (Name) walked into Tom's workroom carrying a small brown papered package.

'(Name)!'

'Happy birthday, Tom!'

She moved a heap of papers off his desk with a flourish and placed the papered object in the space.

'Well, go on then - open it.'

Tom put down the tool he was holding and sat down at the table. It only took a few twists for the paper to fall onto the table and reveal the form of a small metallic dog.

'Oh, (Name) he's perfect. Thank you.'

Smiling, she presses a button to turn on the dog.

'Do you have any idea what you're going to call him?'

'(Dog name) will do.'

As if he heard this remark the metallic dog activates standing up starting to wag his tail. Tom puts out his arms, while whispering to the dog, and it slowly walks towards him before sitting down in between his hands.

(Name) and Tom smiled.
The workplace would be a lot less quiet with (Dog name) around.

Author's Note: There was a dog in the book, and even though it wasn't Tom's, I 100% believe that Tom would've gone back for it when London broke.
