So, you wanna hear about some bad fanfictions huh? You want me to bag the absolute shit out of some authors right? Well, I won't disappoint you. I will bag the shit out of people, but not the fanfiction writers. I'll smack talk the fanfiction community thanks, and don't think I'm going to hold back or spare feelings.

I don't care about the feelings of immature, bratty keyboard whiners.

Now, people who don't like your story are absolutely allowed to feel that way. ABSOLUTELY entitled to their opinion, no sarcasm. Don't be upset if someone doesn't like your fanfic, not everyone will. We all enjoy different things.

However, when you write fanfiction (any kind of book really), there will be annoying bitches. Guaranteed. Maybe not when you first start, maybe not even ten chapters in. But they will come and they will bitch.

My hateful commenters didn't arrive for a long time, and once it started, it only increased over the years. For the first few times, I would get really upset, wondering why people would be so nasty and rude, over something as unimportant as a fanfiction.

Telling me to kill myself because I wrote something that you think isn't canonically possible? Yes, that seems very fair. People like that are clearly very happy with their lives, obviously Mom.

This is my experience, over and over and over again these past 6 years. So many angry, abusive, awful messages and comments over an insignificant story that literally doesn't affect anyone in their day to day lives.

If you're like me and your story begins to get more popular and more people hear about it, your story and YOU as a person, become a target for toxic and childish hatred. I can't even tell you how many people bitch on my stories in the comments and then bitch to other people and bitch on social media, all in an attempt to amass some sort of hate army I guess?

Over a book. A BOOK PEOPLE. Let's get our priorities straight hm?

There's more to this particular rant, but I'll save that for the next chapter.

You will experience people telling you to change things because they don't like it, you're a piece of shit because they don't like your character, you should kill yourself because this new character carries a demon which ISN'T CANONICALLY POSSIBLE BLARGH RARGH BLEERRGGHHH ANGRILY TYPING WORDS THAT DON'T MATTER.

That's what those people sound like to me anyway. When I first started receiving straight up hate comments, with no helpful value to them whatsoever, I was so upset every time. I'd feel so down on myself and wonder what I did to deserve the nastiness.

Nowdays however, the opinions and words of rude people like that mean nothing to me, and if this happens to you, I hope you're able to overcome it as well. This isn't some great life issue, but I suppose it could be seen as a form of online bullying? I dunno, but it's lousy anyway.

People will say things like this, no joke "your character sucks balls" or "ur so bad at riting, u shood delet dis" and then defend themselves by saying they are supplying you with constructive criticism.

Constructive. Criticism.

"sucks balls"

"delet dis"

..........I'M SORRY, WHAT??

Where was the constructive criticism exactly?? You think I'm joking, but I have ACTUALLY come up against these people. They make me want to slam my head against a wall, the stubborn stupidity is so unreal to me.

What does constructive criticism mean internet dictionary?

"Constructive criticism is a form of evaluation that offers both positive and negative feedback. It needs to be valid, useful, and not designed to hurt intentionally or put down anyone or anything. Constructive criticism is often used to help improve the final outcome of a project."

Oh. So dumb comments like the ones above are neither positive, valid, useful nor do they help improve the final outcome of the story. They are merely meant to be negative, hurtful and to put someone down.

BUT CONSTWUCTIVE CWITICISM HURR DURR.

If anyone makes purely negative comments about your story, with nasty undertones (or outright prickishness) and nothing helpful, but state that it's constructive criticism and you need to toughen up, send them a dictionary meaning and them tell them to shove it up their-

No, actually lets not argue with dumb or rude people, or even dumb and rude people. Realise that those sorts of comments mean nothing. People that get on the internet and post aggressive comments (whether it be Wattpad or not) are seriously not worth time or thought. You'll question your sanity if you argue with them, TRUST ME.

If you're still thinking that writing a fanfiction is a fun idea, I won't at all try to stop you, but please continue to the next page for my angsty, angsty rant about.........the Ugly.
