"Mother. Father." Red Son said as he walked into the living room, where his parents were watching his father's favorite show "I have an important matter to discuss with you." he got their attention and the TV was muted.

"What happened Son?" Princess Iron Fan stood up first and walked up to her child. The nervous look in his eyes concerned her slightly, even if she hadn't shown it.

"I..." he paused for a moment as if he was still debating about telling his parents something "Well I think I should first tell you something." he straightened himself, his hair sparkling slightly from his nervousness "I am dating Noddle- I mean MK, Wukong's succor and Mei, the descendant of the White Dragon Horse." he announced.

"Yes we are aware." said PIF with an amused smile.

"And- WAIT, WHAT?!" Red Son blurted out in surprise.

"Well it wasn't really hard to guess." said DBK "Who do you take as for?" he huffed in slight annoyance.

"R-right! I apologize." he said, still too stunned to muster out any more.

"So? What do you want to discuss with us?" PIF hurried him, there was more to the subject from what she understood.

"Ah- Right!" Red Son's cheeks turned slightly Red "Well there is that human celebration tomorrow. It's called Valentine's Day, and traditionally you give your lovers something called 'valentines'." he explained, not paying attention to his parent's unimpressed looks "So I take upon myself that challenge to make those." he announced and then got out of his pocket two heart-shaped cards. PIF and DBK walked closer to look at what he was holding "I made them with what the internet said. Paper, ink, crayons, glitter and love. Well the last one was the most tricky and-" his speech was cut short by his parents' laughter.

Red Son looked at them confused, then his lips turned into frown. His eyes darkened and his whole posture got slightly smaller. He looked away feeling embarrassed.

First tear fell to the ground.

Laughter stopped.

Princess Iron Fan looked to her husband and they exchanged a knowing look.

"Oh, Honey, we're so sorry. It's not bad." his mother said as she cupped his cheeks gently "We didn't mean to upset you." she added "It's really sweet you want to participate in their celebrations like that. We were just surprised how cute you can get for your partners." she said sweetly.

"It is admirable of you to learn about their traditions." said DBK, ruffling his hair.

"I don't know if they will accept this." Red Son sniffed, hands slightly shaking.

"Oh, Son... I'm sure they will love it." his mother said, wiping his tears gently.

"Of course they will! Let us see those valentines once more." Demon Bull King said with a warm tone which was a pretty rare thing for him to do.

Red Son, still a bit unsure, showed them the valentine's he made once again. PIF slowly and with great care took them in her hands and inspected them with her husband looming above her shoulder.

"I must admit, they do look sweet. I'm almost jealous of them to get such a wonderful gift." PIF said with an amused look.

Red Son smiled at that more confident.

"Surely they will admire it." DBK added with a nod.

"Thank you." said Red Son, surprising them a bit but they simply smiled in response.

And as they said, Mei and MK did love those valentine's. They hung them above their beds and sended Red Son a photo that it's there so he would know they wake up everyday and look at them fondly.

Red Son couldn't be more happy.

And for mother's day and father's day Red Son decided to make special cards for his parent's too.

They placed it on their nightstand and secretly were seeing those cards as their most prized possessions.
