WELCOME TO SEASON 3!

This is gonna be an... interesting premiere... to say the least... you'll see what I mean.

Okie dokie. This is the first time I've ever written a chapter like this for any of my stories. I hope I'm successful. Most of the chapter is going to be very heated with Carl and Ethan. Yes, I mean smut. If you don't want to read this because of the fact that it's smut that's fine, I'll put a 👍🏻 after the smut is finished since I'm not going to have the entire chapter be Carl and Ethan having sex and you can start reading.

Carl's POV

"So, what is it you have in mind for us?" I asked as Ethan and I walked in the house after spending the entire day working on repairing the farm after Frank's attack.

We had moved all the rubble from the barn and the other farm house into a large pile and used them to burn any of the dead from Frank's group, we dug graves and buried our own people. After that we started cutting down trees from the forest to make an actual wall instead of using the cars and our other vehicles. Some of our people began digging holes so we could build the wall.

"You'll just have to wait and see. Come on, let's see if the boys are asleep." He answered as he smirked at me.

We walked up the stairs and into our room, Cain and Abel were asleep on the bed with the Xbox controllers laying next to them and the TV still on.

"Well, they're definitely asleep." I said as I grabbed the TV remote and turned it off then moved the controllers off the bed.

"Yeah they are. I'm gonna go take a shower." He said as he grabbed some clean clothes out of the small dresser.

"So I have to wa-" I started before he interrupted me.

"Do you wanna join me?" He asked as he walked out the door.

Oh... ok then... hell yeah.

"Uh... yeah, I'll be right there." I said as I grabbed some clothes as well then followed him.

I heard the shower turn on as I reached the bathroom door. I walked in and saw him leaning against the wall waiting for me.

"Now you gonna tell me what you've got planned?" I asked as I closed and locked the door behind me.

Instead of responding he walked over to me and kissed me. I kissed back, our lips moving and opening slightly so our tongues twirled around each other's mouths. Without breaking the kiss he pulled my flannel off so I was left in a plain t-shirt. I had one of my hands in his hair, pulling him closer and deepening the kiss, the other I used to take my hat off and throw it over onto the counter next to our clothes, then put it on his waist. He wrapped one arm around my lower back and laid his other hand on the side of my face.

We're actually about to do this... wow. This is my first time... I hope I do it right... is it possible to do it wrong?

I felt Ethan slide his hand up the back of my shirt and start to pull it off, I helped and when the shirt was at my neck we broke our kiss just long enough for me to remove my shirt, then we were right back to it. I started to pull his shirt off and he allowed me to, and, just like with me, we broke the kiss only long enough for him to remove the shirt entirely. We broke apart again with a slight smacking sound and stared at each other.

"You ready?" He asked as he kicked his shoes off then took his socks off as well.

I took my shoes and socks off and nodded.

"Yeah... yeah I'm ready." I answered as I pulled him closer to me again. "Are you?" I asked.

"Yeah. I just... I've never done this before so I don't think I'll be very good." He said as he nervously rubbed his neck.

"Hey, I've never done it before either. So neither of us will know if we're bad." I said before pulling him in for another kiss.

I could feel him smile as he kissed back and started playing with my hair. We broke apart slowly and once again looked at each other.

"Ok... let's do this." He said as he unbuttoned and unzipped his jeans.

I followed his example and we threw our pants onto the ever-growing pile of dirty clothes building in the corner of the room. After that we kissed each other very passionately, our tongues dancing in our mouths. I broke the kiss and moved to his neck and started kissing it. He moaned slightly and I smirked as I continued to kiss his neck. I started to kneel down, kissing his bare chest as I lowered myself to my knees. I could see the tent that had formed in his boxers already and I started to pull them down. When I had fully removed his boxers I looked up at him and he gave me a slight nod.

He thought for a moment while we stared into each other's eyes.

"No. I don't want to stop. Let's keep going." He said, breaking the silence that had only been filled by the shower.

I nodded and kissed him again, slowly dragging my tongue along his bottom lip until he opened his mouth and let it in. We slowly moved into a sitting position on the floor of the shower and I leaned him back until I was on top of him, neither of us breaking the kiss. I jacked him off with one hand and held myself up above him with the other. He had his hands on my chest and I could feel his arms shaking slightly. "We should probably go get some sleep. There's still work to be done tomorrow." I said quietly as I grabbed his hands and intertwined our fingers.

"Yeah, let's go. Speaking of tomorrow, we should probably go on a run to get some supplies. A lot of our stuff was in the barn when Frank blew it up." He said.

I nodded as we walked towards the door. He unlocked and opened it before leading the way back to the room. When we reached the door of our bedroom I could hear someone talking inside.

"Cain! Wake up, come on! Wake up! Cain! Please!" I heard Abel shouting.

Carl and I immediately walked in and saw Abel shaking Cain's shoulder and saying his name repeatedly.

"Abel, what's wrong?" I asked.

"He's having a really bad nightmare. I've been trying to wake him for a couple minutes now but he won't wake up!" The boy answered as he continued to shake his twin's shoulder.

Ethan and I went to the side of the bed and saw Cain crying and mumbling in his sleep, he was moving around a lot but wouldn't wake up.

"Cain! It's just a nightmare wake up buddy!" Ethan said as he grabbed the boy's other shoulder.

"We're right here, Cain! Just wake up!" I said.

After another few minutes of the three of us trying to wake him up he short into a sitting position, screaming as he did.

"Woah! Cain, it's ok! It wasn't real, just a bad dream." I said as he looked around at us.

"I-it felt s-so real... I... I thought I-it was r-real." He mumbled quietly as he tried slow his breathing down.

"It's ok Cain, it wasn't anything but a really, really bad nightmare. Do you want to talk about it?" Ethan asked.

Cain instantly shook his head no and wiped some stray tears away.

"Ok. That's fine. But look, if you ever need to talk about it, or anything else, you can talk to us, we're here for you." I said as I squeezed his shoulder.

"That was scary... you wouldn't wake up no matter what we did. You had me freaking out dude!" Abel shouted as he wrapped his brother in a hug.

"I'm sorry." Cain responded.

I glanced over at Ethan and saw he was thinking the same thing as me.

What could he have been dreaming about that had him in such a bad dream?

"You don't need to apologize, it wasn't your fault. I'm sorry we couldn't get you out of it sooner." Abel responded.

The four of us sat in silence for a little bit, Cain didn't want to go back to sleep because he was scared that he'd have another nightmare but he and Abel eventually fell asleep again anyway.

"What do you think he was dreaming about?" I asked after the boys had fallen asleep.

"I don't know, let's just hope he doesn't keep dreaming about it. I wish he'd wanted to talk about it, maybe we could have helped him a little more. Oh well, I guess he just didn't want to think about it at that point, maybe he'll want to talk about it some other time." Ethan answered.

We both cuddled together at the foot of the bed again since the twins had our bed. Ethan wrapped his arms around me from behind and I pulled a blanket over us.

"We really need to get another bed in here, or even just a mattress, because sleeping on the floor is already getting old." I said quietly.

"Yeah I agree. Maybe we can look for some mattresses while we're out on that run tomorrow. At least we're able to cuddle without a mattress, otherwise we'd have a problem because I don't know what I'd do if I couldn't have you in my arms like this." He said.

"Yeah. Agreed." I responded.

We stayed silent for a few minutes before I broke the silence.

"I'm glad we did what we did today. I love you and I am so happy that you were my first time. I'm happy that I have you, you're the only thing keeping me sane." I said.

"Yeah me to. I love you so much and I'm so happy when I'm with you. A lot of people think that you can't be happy with the world the way it is now, but they're wrong. We can prove that. We can teach everyone that you can still be happy despite the way things are." He said.

Yeah. He's right, we have to make the world better. We have to teach that happiness can still be achieved.

"Goodnight Ethan. I love you." I said as I turned around and gave him a quick kiss.

"I love you to Carl. Goodnight" He responded.

After that we both fell asleep.

Hey guys! So I updated! Hurrah! I hope you enjoyed that very heated chapter, that was definitely one hell of an experience to write. I'm sorry if it sucked and was super awkward, like I said this is my first smut chapter literally ever so it was kinda all over the place, now that I've written one I think it should be easier next time I wrote one.

Ok, so now I'm gonna give you a little insight about season 3. It's going to be a more calm season than the first two were. It's going to have a huge focus very heavily on relationships (friendly, romantic, and familial). Yes there will be some conflicts, but mostly they'll be internal conflict between members of the group, not another group and our group. I will set up the main antagonist of season 4 and their group towards the end of season 3, but other than that there won't be any crazy battles or anything like that. We may or may not end up leaving the farm for a new destination by the end of the season, I haven't decided for sure yet, but we will be leaving our nice, comfy little farm behind in the near future.
