The noise of taking a picture went through Jungkook's phone after asking Taehyung to take a picture of Jungkook and Suki. "One more but this time, silly faces," Taehyung spoke with a chuckle, Jungkook smiling as he shook his head, Suki already in his pose of a silly face. "Come on Jungkookie, make a silly face." Taehyung didn't notice the nickname that rolled off his tongue.

Taking the picture and handing the phone back to Jungkook who let Suki look at them. Clearing his throat, Jungkook scratched at the nape of his neck. "I never thought I would hear you say that again." Jungkook's voice was low and shy. In confusion, Taehyung blinked several times before thinking over the words he said from earlier.

Finally remembering, Taehyung rolled back his shoulders and stabbed his fork into his cake. "Didn't mean to say that, sorry." Taehyung poked at his cake. A frown came from Jungkook but was wiped off as Suki poked at his arm causing Jungkook to turn and hum. "I like this one kookie." Suki showed the silly faced photo.

Brushing Suki's hair back, Jungkook nodded. "I like it too Suki." Jungkook grabbed his phone and set the photo to his lock screen. "There, perfect." Jungkook handed back his phone, Suki giggling at the doing of Jungkook. Minutes pass and Taehyung was paying for the food with the bank card that he managed to remember this time.

"Now that we're all full, we can carry on." Taehyung turned to Jungkook who nodded and gulped. Within the past two weeks, he really did grow a bond with Suki who was attached to Jungkook as well. Taehyung could see that too and it hurt them both a little since Suki had no idea what was going on.

Stepping into the police department, Taehyung motioned them both to sit as he walked to the front desk, asking to speak to anyone that would be willing to help and in this case, the detective was able to along with an officer. Luckily they didn't have to wait long and so they walked to the back where Suki held onto Jungkook tightly, Jungkook gulping and picking up Suki. This was near wrecking for Jungkook in all honesty.

Taehyung stood behind Jungkook and Suki as they both sat down. "So what's the problem here?" The police officer asked, Taehyung nudging Jungkook to speak. Clearing his throat, Jungkook straightened his posture. "This is Saito Itsuki and I found him alone just about two weeks ago. From his story, his mother left him stranded and I've been taking care of him since then."

Raising an eyebrow, the officer looked at the little boy. "Is that true kid?" He asked as Itsuki nodded, his eyes looking sad as he looked at the desk. "My mommy said to stay in that spot till she came back and she never came back. My daddy died in uh... April." Itsuki kicked his legs while looking down. "Am I in trouble?" The six-year-old asked.

Jungkook's heart broke but so did Taehyung when Itsuki asked the question, still very confused about why he was talking to two strangers. Walking over, the police officer crouched down. "Itsuki... you're not in trouble but if we want to find your mommy then you're gonna have to tell us everything you remember from that day." The officer smiled.

Suki slowly turned to Jungkook who nodded and pushed back the boy's hair. "Mommy said we were going on a trip to the zoo. Mommy always cried and got mad at me ever since daddy died and I just wanted to make mommy happy... but she was always sad and mad. She packed me a bag and snacks before she left me on the road. She said she would come back, she promised."

Itsuki's eyes started to become glossy. "Mommy was crying when she left me. I hugged her and told her to come back fast cause I wanted to see all the animals! but she never came back and I cried... lots. I ate all my snacks too so I was really hungry." Itsuki continued to talk, telling everything he could remember. "Then I found Jungkookie. Jungkookie hugged me and told me everything would be alright and gave me cookies and milk... and then cuddled me to sleep."

Jungkook wiped away the few tears that fell down the little boy's cheek, staining his chubby but cute cheeks. "And do you remember mommy and daddy's name?" The officer asked, Itsuki sniffling and playing with his hands before shaking his head. Jungkook pulled the boy close and rubbed his arm. "It's okay Suki."

After a very long conversation, the police and detective decided that they would look into Itsuki's case. First needing to get blood testing in which they did and surprisingly Itsuki was very calm during it all. "If we find anything on Saito Itsuki's guardians and family then we will contact you as soon as we do." The detective talked to Jungkook as Taehyung played with Itsuki in the waiting room.

Jungkook had the choice of handing over Itsuki but when he also heard he had a choice to keep the boy until they got back to him, he took the second choice without a second thought. Not knowing that he was indeed attached to that little boy already.

Nodding, Jungkook gave his number and went off to see the two boys. "Can we go now kookie?" Itsuki asked, Jungkook nodding as Itsuki started cleaning the mess he made while Taehyung stood. "What did they say?" Taehyung asked, Jungkook sighing and shoving his hands in his pockets. "They'll contact me once they find out who his guardians are." Jungkook pursed his lips.

Taehyung nodded and smiled a bit before turning to Itsuki. "And I hate to ask but, can you take Itsuki in? Just until we figure out this whole thing? I can't afford another stay at the hotel and I would feel better if Itsuki had a roof over his head." Jungkook watched Taehyung turn towards him. Without hesitation, Taehyung nodded. "Of course but- what about you?"

"Don't worry about me okay? It's for Itsuki's sake." Jungkook smiled at the boy in the corner grabbing his bag and walking over to Jungkook with the biggest smile. Nibbling his lip, Taehyung watched Jungkook crouch down and help zipper up the jacket on Itsuki. He really is digging himself into a deeper hole huh?
