Isabelle's POV:
My best friend Amber was coming home from boarding school. She had been there the past year and it was in Russia. I was the only one who knew that. As soon as she arrived home she began telling me all about her schooling. And that she had a brief romance with a guy there. But something happened between them and she didn't mention what happened. "Guess who works at the pool." I said. Amber quirked an eyebrow and said "who?" "Billy Hargrove." She shook her head she said "no way. Have you been?" "Yeah. He sorta asked me out." Amber looked at me with a slight crazed look and said "what did you say?" "I told him no." "You've only liked him for like ever. And you told him no?" "You know how he is. He's the asshole type." I replied. Amber stood up and said "we're going to the pool. Right now." I sighed and she went to change into her suit. Luckily I had mine on me and I changed into it. When we walked into the pool, Heather was still on duty. I looked to my left and saw Karen Wheeler, sitting with a few of her friends. Amber found a spot and set our things down. "I want you to be the first thing he sees." She said. I rolled my eyes and it's like we were in a movie, Billy walked out as if on cue. Moving in Stereo blasted from this kid's boombox as Billy walked to the tower. He looked at Karen and said something to her. Then he noticed me. I bit my lip as I began to get nervous. "Looking good, Isabelle." He said. "T-thank you." I stuttered. Billy pushed his sunglasses up onto his face and smirked as he walked away. Amber looked at me and said "ok, he totally digs you." "He does not. He just wants to have sex with me." "He likes you!" "Thats what Robin said." I replied.

Billy climbed up onto his tower and the pool was less crowded today. Amber went into the water and I jumped in next to her. Since there was less people here, I was able to do laps from each far end of the pool. When I made it back over to Amber, she said "look." I looked up at the tower as Billy put his whistle into his mouth, now blowing it but just staring at me. I looked behind me to see if Heather was there. She wasn't. Billy Hargrove was staring at me and I could've swore he was drooling.

I watched him blow into his whistle and Amber said "go talk to him." I shook my head and said "no." I went under the water and when I came up, he was no longer sitting in the lifeguard tower. He was now standing over Amber and I. I looked up at him, he lowered his sunglasses and said "hi." I took a short breath and said "hi." He held his hand out and I grabbed it, he pulled me out of the pool. He pulled me out like I weighed nothing. I guess since all he does is life weights, I weigh nothing to him.

"So, how about that date?" Billy asked. I sighed and said "I don't know." "How about this, you wait for me to get off my shift and I'll drive you home. And we can just talk." Billy said. I looked to Amber who nodded vigorously. In school he barely noticed me and now he was. But I knew the type of guy he was. I really wanted to go out with him but I was scared. But I gave in. "I'll take you up on your offer. You can drive me home." Billy smiled and said "good. My shift ends in a couple of hours." "I'll be here." I said. He walked away from me and I got back into the pool. "Holy shit." Amber said. I shook my head and said "I can't believe I just accepted that." "You need to just get with him already. This flirting is ridiculous."

The chapters will get longer I'm just trying to write a few so y'all had some stuff to read. Also when I write about Billy I don't want to stop😭
