Chapter 17: A Confession

"Kourin-san..." Aichi looked at Kourin right after they broke their kiss, and Kourin opened her eyes. She looked back at Aichi and blushed hardly.

Aichi realized what he had done and he pulled away from her, he also blushed. "I'm sorry that was very ungentlemanly of me!" He apologized.

"N-no i-it's... it's okay, Aichi... it's just..." Kourin looked down and her lips quivered, she was nervous, and so is Aichi.

"I'm sorry, Kourin-san I didn't know what I was thinking. It was.." Aichi scratched the back of his head and tried to explain. "Uh..."

"Can I ask you something, Aichi?" Kourin spoke while still not looking at him.

"Y-yes?" Aichi responded.

"Tell me, you didn't take me to a date just for this, did you?" Kourin asked.

Aichi's eyes widened in surprise, but he had to disagree, what just happened to them is just an accident and he actually didn't mean to do it.

"N-no I didn't... I took you on a date because I want to get to know you better, and what happened earlier is not what I intended to do. So I'm sorry." Aichi replied and touched Kourin's face, making her look at him.

"Kourin-san, I really... really like you..." He said, causing Kourin to get shock.

"Aichi..." Kourin blinked for a few times, did she hear it right?

"I'm not joking, I really like you." He said once again.

"Aichi, I..." Kourin touched Aichi's hand that was on her face and she replied. "I like you too..."

Aichi's smile widened in glee, he felt so very happy that all flowers on his garden might have bloomed so beautifully.

"Really?!" Aichi had to confirm, and Kourin nodded. "Yes! Yes!" Aichi suddenly embraced Kourin tightly.

Kourin embraced him back, she pats Aichi's back and smiled. As they pulled from their embrace, Aichi grabbed Kourin and they walked away from the plaza.

"Where are we going, Aichi?" Kourin asked in curiosity.

"I'm hungry, we should eat!" Aichi replied happily and they went to the restaurant to eat together.

There were so many things that they did after that, they went to the theatre to watch a film and then it was afternoon, they had to part ways.

"I still can't believe that our friendly date will turn to an actual date," Kourin said.

Aichi chuckled, "I agree. I didn't expect that I would admit my feelings to you, Kourin-san."

Kourin giggled and held Aichi's hand, "Say, can we stay for a little longer?"

"Eh? W-Why?"

"I want to be with you right now, that's all."

Aichi nodded at her request and they both sat at the bench as they looked at the setting sun.

"I guess I'll see you tomorrow at the shop, Kourin-san... if..  you're okay with that." Aichi said.

"Of course, we'll visit each other. I'd love to help you tomorrow with the flowers." Kourin replied.

"I'm looking forward at that, Kourin-san."

"See you tomorrow, Aichi." Kourin then walked away, and Aichi stared at her as she walks.

"Kourin-san! I'll wait for you tomorrow!" Aichi yelled as Kourin is already far from him, and he just smiled before turning away and walking back to his home.
