Daenerys's slender fingers ran through the fine selection of exotic cloths and silks, the merchant looked on excitedly as you discussed the history of the fine city that you had ended up in as a ruler and her advisor.

"Anything standing out to you my lady?" She strode past the stall, there was no shortage of textile purveyors in the marketplace, yet she left a few gold pieces just for the woman's time. She exchanged her gratuity by gently grabbing onto her hand as she tried to walk away and kissing it gently, looking up to her with an honouring and desperate gaze.

"How many times Y/N, I have tried my whole life to avoid that horrendous title. Either use my full title or a simple Daenerys will be fine. No need to embarrass you or I with such uncivilised names."

"My apologies..." You watched as she inspected each fabric before turning away leaving nothing but a trail of stares and gold.

"Do the fashions of your new home not quite hold up to your standards?" The lightest of chuckles escaped from her smiling lips as she gently made her way through the mad crowds, each person eager to show their love to their new ruler.

"This isn't my home." She momentarily dropped her gaze to the floor. "So long as there are people in this world suffering unjust treatment, I will not have a home."

"Unfortunately, this will be a stepping stone that we will be perching on for some time." Daenerys looked around at the people in chains, strapped to the markets and forced to stand there peddling their master's wares.

"Do not worry."

"They do not call it Slaver's bay for fun. I know that you want to help these people but please do remember who you're facing here. The master's have ran this land since the records began."

"I am Daenerys Targaryen. I have stood my ground against worse than these men with their chains and their whips."

"And I am sure that you will free these good men, women and children." Every mention of the poor captives of these vile men seemed to motivate her to raze the city to the ground with the masters in it.

"Will you be by my side whilst I do?" She looked down at you with hopeful eyes.

"Even without your dragons and your armies, I would be more than a fool to leave your arm."
