When you had met and fallen in love with Daenerys, you didn't realise how influential she would become. She was a rather timid girl when you had met but now, she was a powerful woman with an army behind her. Her future was promising and you wouldn't doubt that she would soon be sat upon on Iron Throne as the benevolent leader of the whole of Westeros. For now she wanted to free as many enslaved people as she could, to offer them freedom and the chance to live their lives as they wish rather than needing to follow the command of a master they should have never have belonged to.

Wherever Daenerys wished to go, you would be by her side and help support her in any way she needed you to. She had freed another city in her journey across Essos and now used it as her home temporarily until you would then move on to continue on your way to Westeros with her ever growing army. As this was now where you would call home, you offered to accompany her to the market so that she could see the people who she had freed and see the lives they could now live on their own terms.

You walked by each other's sides before reaching a stall were, she was offered flowers as a sign of gratitude. She handed them to you with a warm smile and you went to lean in to kiss her as a sign of love and appreciation, but she pulled away. You held your tongue until you walked a few steps away and were out of earshot of anyone else.

"What's wrong?" You asked her.

"Nothing," she lied.

You cocked an eyebrow at her. "Do you not want anyone to know about us?"

Daenerys hesitated before shaking her head, arguing the sincerity of that answer.

"Let them see," you said with a gentle smile. "It's not like we're doing anything wrong."

She mirrored your soft expressed, taking your hand within hers, keeping them low and lost amongst the layers of both of your garments.

"I am not ashamed of you," she assured. "I love you with all of my heart and I wish to scream it from the rooftop however I cannot. As I gain people following me to help my cause, I will gain enemies and people who wish to hurt me. I don't want anyone to think they can hurt you to get to me."

All you wanted to do was hold her tight and assure her it was fine, but it would fight everything she had just said. Instead you gave her hand a reassuring squeeze and whispered your love for her before continuing on with your day.
