This was it.

She was going to tell him how she was feeling towards him. She couldn't ignore it anymore. Her love was too strong for him, and he was her best friend since she was only five.

That was what stopping her from telling him everytime.

She was afraid that their friendship for years ruined just because of her silly feeling towards Thomas. She could't risk it, she loved him too much to lose him.

"Y/N!"

Someone called her name, making she turned around when she recognized very well the owner of the voice.

"Tom, you're late!"

She whined like a child and crossed her arms against her chest. He grinned and piched her cheeks.

"Ow, now you're hurting me!"

"Okay, I'm sorry for being late and for hurting your adorable cheeks."

He apologized, a cheeky grin was still on his face. She finally laughed along with him and forgot about what she was going to tell him. She forgot about her confession.

"Y/N, I have something to tell you."

He told her with a serious face. She only realized that she was going to tell him about her feelings when he said that. But she ignored it and nodded, signaling him to continue.

"I'm in love with her."

He whispered-shouted at her, then he laughed like he was the happiest man alive. Her face dropped and she felt like a dark cloud was on her head.

"Wh-Who?"

She managed to speak, but she bit her lips when her voice cracked slightly. He didn't notice that, fortunately.

"Chloe. I don't think you know her but god, she is so beautiful and kind and-"

Tears blurred her vision as Tom continued to talk about how great the girl that he was in love with was.

"I'm sorry. I- I have to go."

She blurted out and quickly walked away from him. Tom gave her a weird look and ran after her.

"Y/N, wait!"

He didn't know what was wrong with his best friend. But he felt like he was the one who made her sad like that. She wouldn't walk away like that, she has never walked away from him.

"Y/N!"

He called out for her but she just kept running away from him. She looked over her shoulder and cursed under her breathe. His long legs were an advantage so he could run after her easily.

He was almost reached for her when she crossed the road. But it was written, and they couldn't change it.

As she crossed the road, she didn't see a fast car was speeding towards her. But Tom on the other side, quickly did what he needed to do.

"Y/N!"

He ran to her and pushed her away out of the road and to the roadside. She fell on the ground and screamed as she saw the car didn't get to brake in time and hit Tom.

"No, Tom!"

She couldn't change it.

It happened.

He was hit by the car because he was saving her. It was all her fault.

And she blamed herself even more when he was brought to the hospital and the doctor said that they couldn't save her best friend.

He was gone.

She lost him because of her own damn self.
