It was a quiet night in the Burkhardt household. At least, it was trying to be. Inside it was a mess of pillows and laughter.

Tal hit Nick with a large pink pillow and the feathers exploded everywhere; sticking to their hair and clothes. It must've broken on his belt buckle or something. A large smile crossed their face. Oh, he'd never loved them more.

'Marry me.'

'What?'

Tal was so shocked that they fell off the couch; thankfully hitting a pillow instead of the hard wooden floor. Nick looked down at her. Tal awkwardly removed a piece of hair that was hanging in front of their face, blushing slightly.

'I'm sorry. It just slipped out.'

'Of course it did. You never were one to do things typically.'

Nick laughed.

'Now, was that a yes or no, dear?'

'Yes, Nick, yes! Of course I will!'

He put a hand out and they grabbed it, pulling him into a hug. If they could, they'd never let each other go.
