"Ok, it's very faint, but I can still sense him in the building." Phoebe shouted into the distance, "go into the light, Mr. Heckles!"

Chandler looked at her questioningly, "ok, Phoebe."

"I'm sorry, but sometimes they need help." The group groaned at Phoebe's words, "that's fine. Go ahead and scoff. You know there's a lot of things that I don't believe in, but that doesn't mean they're not true."

Joey looked confused, "like what?"

"Like crop circles, or the Bermuda triangle, or evolution?".

Ross suddenly looked taken aback and quickly walked next to Phoebe, "whoa, whoa, whoa. What, you don't, uh, you don't believe in evolution?" He stumbled over his words as Phoebe looked unbothered,

"Nah, not really."

Rachel, Monica, and Lily snorted at the looks on Ross's face of astonishment while Phoebe didn't look bothered at her lack of interest in topics.

"You don't believe in evolution?" Ross questioned, not quite believing what he'd heard.

"I don't know, it's just, you know...monkeys, Darwin, you know, it's a, it's a nice story, I just think it's a little too easy." She told him,

"Too easy? Too...The process of every living thing on this planet evolving over millions of years from single-celled organisms, is-is too easy?" He stumbled over his words, not believing what Phoebe was saying.

She shook her head, "yeah, I just don't buy it " she shrugged,

"Uh, excuse me. Evolution is not for you to buy, Phoebe. Evolution is scientific fact, like, like, like the air we breathe, like gravity."

Phoebe rolled her eyes, meanwhile, Rachel, Monica, and Lily were talking quietly with each other while Chandler and Joey did the same, separately.

"So did you enjoy the 'date' with Chandler?" Rachel wiggled her eyebrows at Lily, as she rolled her eyes.

"It wasn't a date, it was just a friendly meal. And it was nice...he was nice, I like him, what am I meant to do?" Lily rambled, realizing that she liked Chandler more than a friend. "Do you think he'd want to go on a date with me? Should I ask him or wait for him to ask me? I don't know about this sort of stuff!"

Rachel and Monica looked at each other, remembering what Chandler had said about Lily this morning about the date. Liliana looked at the pair curiously, seeing the pair look at each other sadly.

"What? Has he said something?"

Rachel looked at Chandler making sure he wasn't looking and saw he was now with Ross trying to calm him down about the Phoebe situation as Phoebe walked over to the other girls.

"What's going on?" She asked the over girls, as Lily, who was still wanting to find out if Chandler liked her or not, turned to her blond friend.

"Has Chandler said anything to you about me? About when we went to the restaurant?" She asked questioningly,

"Oh yeah, he said you talked about and were too posh." Monica and Rachel slapped Phoebe's arms, making her realize what she'd said.

"Was I not mean to say anything?"

Lily, who was quickly taken aback by the words, looked at the three boys, and Chandler imparticular, who were laughing and joking with each other.

Tears formed in her eyes as she took in the words of which Chandler thought of her, though not realizing it would hurt her so bad. She gathered her stuff and walked towards the door towards her apartment, slamming the door as she left.

Chandler and the two other boys looked as Lily walked out the door, "what happened?" Ross asked,

Monica looked down, "Phoebe told Lil what Chandler said about her, and I don't think she took it too well."

"Crap," Chandler ran towards Lily's apartment door and knocked on it frantically, trying to get her to open the door.

"Lily! Open up!" The rest of the gang watched as they stood outside Monica's door,

"Go away!" They heard Lily shout back at him,

"Please just hear me out!" Chandler tried to get her to listen to him,

"No, please just leave me alone, you wouldn't want to hear me talk too much." Lily's voice cracked as she talked,

Ross, Joey, Rachel, Monica, and Phoebe all looked downcast at their friends falling out, wishing that it wouldn't take long for them to be friends again, or even more than that.

Chandler leaned his hand against the door and sighed, knowing what he had said about Lily was wrong and somewhat a lie. "Crap, I'm such an idiot."

"Not gonna deny that, bro." Joey put a hand on his friend's shoulder, as Chandler stared at him blankly.

"C'mon, let's get you some ice cream. Me, Rachel and Phoebe will go round to Lily's tomorrow when she's calmed down, it's getting late, we could all use a bit of rest." Monica consoled her friend knowing that tomorrow would be a rough day for all of them.
