A constant reminder of the dangers of Gotham, was how you had lived your life. You worked for the GCPD. So, you knew exactly how dangerous this city could be firsthand. But one person in particular? Was Edward Nygma. He wasn't like anyone you had ever met before. He was your colleague. Your mentor. He helped you when no one else would. Or they just simply didn't feel like they needed to. They brushed you off. But something about Edward Nygma, caught your attention from the moment he said hello. He acted as if he was superior to everyone. He was certainly smarter than most and would not hesitate to let you know it. You admired him. But he..... snapped. He finally snapped after months upon months of mental abuse from everyone else. He became..... someone else. And his riddles? Were his weapon. In the event that you are unfortunately faced with one, I do hope you have had your will drawn up. Because you most likely won't come out on the other side. And you out of everyone in this whole city, fascinated him to no end. You weren't like everyone else.

"You really aren't scared of me are you Miss (Y/L/N)?" No. In fact, you weren't at all. The danger of being around him attracted you more than anything. Because you've always played it safe. But now? You were tired of it.

"Why should I be Mr. Nygma?" His little smile towards you had you on edge. You were certainly nervous. But you didn't fear the man. He insisted upon seeing you tonight. He needed your help. And you were not prepared for exactly what he needed help with. A body. Disposal of one in fact. And somehow, he knew he could trust you.

"No reason at all. Unless you make one. But don't worry. I see us being great partners. Because refusal is not an option anymore." His warning tone did nothing for your nerves. But you could sense he wouldn't hurt you somehow. You didn't understand it. But you just knew.

"Well, let's get started then, shall we?" And that's how you came to become something much larger in Gotham. And how you came, to never fear the Riddler.
