You gazed over at Ed with that familiar feeling coursing through you that you always seem to get when around him. Not fear. Not nervousness. Just... calmness. You can never explain it really. But to you, it feels nice. The only person in Gotham City you can really relate to is Edward Nygma. He's been your ally since day one and you have always been thankful for that.

Even when everyone was beating you down, he still stood out and saved you somehow. And now he gets rewarded by being locked away like some animal. Like some monster. The things he can do is beyond anyone else's imagination. He's the smartest guy in all of Gotham.

"Ed..? I hope you like this present. I know you'll most likely solve it within a second. But still, I figured you'd appreciate it." He looked down at the now open gift with a little smile, actually seeming happy for the first time in a long time. He doesn't usually smile anymore.

"It's the thought that counts. Thank you..." He then looked back up at you with his smile still in place, gazing into your eyes with that intense look he usually always has now a days, making your heart race.

"I'm glad you still come and see me and not run away like I'm some monster. I know I'm not exactly the easiest man to deal with, especially to these buffoons who have no brain to begin with. But I'm glad you can keep up dear." You laughed a little at his humored look, making the guards look over with suspicious looks, causing you to roll your eyes. Yeah, he'll find his way out of this place soon enough. He can trick anyone.
