"Come on buddy you gotta pay up."

The two men in front of me stare at each other then at me once more, "I told we could've done it on our own."

"Blah blah just pay up. I made you two idiots a favor,killing that guy was hard."

These two idiots hired me to kill their boss who found out they were stealing from him and since they heard he was planning to skin them alive,they contacted me to end with the mans life.

"You two didn't have the balls to do it on your own."

The man on the right looked over to his friend, "You heard the fox pay up." The man began to curse as he shuffled in his bag and gave me my money.

"Pleasure doing business with you men." I salute and begin to walk out of their hideout till I hear a gun shot and I take cover as I hear men screaming and bones crushing against the wall.

"Holy mother of god who did that?!" I peek over and see a dozen men injured.

I hid again when I heard foot steps, "How many time have I gotta tell ya to not kill them."

"I am Groot."

"No! From now on you gotta listen to my orders carefully."

"You know what this conversation is over."

I leaned down and my eye was quick enough to see a small creature jump up to what appears to be a giant walking tree. I began to follow them trying to not make any sound,they arrived to where I previously was with those men and they surrender once they saw those two.

"You again?"

"Now she's with a tall plant tree."

"Didn't we give you the money you sly fox?!"

"Fox? What's a fox?"

"It's you you idiot." I heard one of them reply.

"I am Groot."

"I'm not a raccoon!!"

"I am Groot."

"I don't care what Quill says. I'm losing my patience here...where's the damn money!"

"We don't have it!"

"What?! We just contacted you and you said ya did."

"We gave it to the fox..her!"

My eyes widen when I realized the men were pointing at me and I faced the raccoon and tree. I slowly began to walk backwards till I began to run on my fours, "Stop her!"

"I am Groot."

"I don't care if she's a female just grab her."

I began to run into obstacles,then started to climb my way up the vent, "Suckers they'll never catch me-now!!!"

I screamed when I felt something grab onto my feet and started to drag me to where I escaped, "Hehe good job buddy."

"Let go of me now!"

I begin to bite onto the the tall tree fellow when the raccoon comes closer and grabs my bag filled with cash.

"Whoo hoo we're rich!"

"Hey you stinky raccoon you might as well tell your buddy here to release me."

The raccoon nods and the tree guy lets go of me, "I am Groot."

"Yeah,we'll tell Peter that the guy didn't have it so we'll keep it to ourselves."

"Whoa whoa..hold on! That's my money I earned it now give it back."

"Oh i'll give it to ya,if we do you'll be toast cause those men back there will be coming for you thinking that you killed the rest of their team. Tell you what i'll save your skin if you give us half-"

"How is a tiny raccoon like you gonna save my skin?" I smirk when I see him growl.

"Hey i've seen you somewhere." He begins to lean closer as I start to move back a bit frightened.

I begin to remember about my dark past,how these men began to experiment on me and inject me with these strange looking devices they performed on me. I was all alone there till I met a Rocket he helped me escape and since I was so scared I just ran away without thanking him.

"I remember you know..Rocket." I smile a little and he nods his head.
