"Mumbo," Grian leaned closer. "Kiss me." 

And goddammit, he did. 

Mumbo grabbed his ghostly roomate's face and pulled him closer, lips pressed against each other. Grian floated to the right height for the kiss, being shorter. 

"Oh fuck." Grian mumbled after they pulled away. 

"You hate me, don't you. You don't like me in that way and never want to talk to me ever ag-" 

"I definitely don't hate you. I just asked you to kiss me! I really like you, Mumbo." 

"Really?" His eyes were watery. 

Grian kissed him. "Really." 

Mumbo leaned into another kiss. Then he pulled back with an idea. 

"Grian. You know how you and I can touch?" 

"Yeah. We're very lucky." 

"Can you pick me up? And we could float together?" Mumbo was smiling like a kid on Christmas. Grian contemplated before attempting to pick Mumbo up bridal style. 

"It's working!" Mumbo yelled as he and Grian floated up to the ceiling. Grian leaned in for a kiss. 

"A kiss on the ceiling." Grian stated as they floated down. "Just what I needed." 

"Snuggle me, Grian." Mumbo was walking to his room. Grian follwed, laying next to Mumbo and holding him close. 

"Mumbo," Grian whispered. "Can I kiss your neck?" 

"Of course." Mumbo brushed some hair off his neck. 

Grian went for the other's neck, kissing gently as Mumbo (and eventually Grian) fell asleep. 

~ Time Skip ~ 

"Hi Mumbo." Grian said as Mumbo got up from his nap and entered the living room. Grian hadn't slept as long since he didn't actually need sleep. 

"Gri." Mumbo said groggily. "I have friends coming over in a week, ok?" 

"Ok! I won't move anything while they're here." 

"You can't mess with me either." 

"I would never." Grian smiled in a way that conveyed he would definitely mess with Mumbo. 

"Yeah, yeah. You would never make me shudder in the middle of a conversation." 

"I can do much more than just make you shudder, Mumbo." Grian smirked, kissing Mumbo's neck slightly. 

"Grian!" Mumbo jolted. 

"It's gonna be a fun day next week."
