Devi Sita was pacing back and forth in the Parnakuti, each passing second was increasing her anxiety. Tears were welling up in her eyes, as she prayed for her husband's safety.

Ravan was looking for this exact opportunity, Devi Sita was all alone. He wasted no time and took on a guise of a Rishi and approached her.

"Bhikshaam dehi !" He said.

Devi Sita looked at him and wiped away her tears, she was honourable hostess and so couldn't refuse to feed a Rishi. She went inside the Parnakuti and came with some food.

"Hey Sundari, tum kisi uttam kul ki pratit hoti ho. Tumhare jaisa saundarya Trilok mei kahi nahi. Tum toh sakshat Lakshmi ki murat lagti ho. Tumhare samaksh sansaar ki anya stree tej-heen lagti hai." Ravan said looking at her up and down.

"Kis aashaye se aaye hai Rishivar ? Apna vastavik parichaye de." Devi Sita confronted directly because she knew such words were unlikely to come from a Rishi.

"Mai Lankadhipati Ravan hu sundari, jiske naam se devta bhi bhayebhit hote hai. Sita tumhe dekhne ke baad toh mujhe apne patniyo mei bhi ruchi nahi rahi. Mere saath chalo aur meri Patrani bano. Mere bhavan mei sansaar bhar ki streeya hai, tum unn sab par Raj karogi. Kabhi vastra aur aabhushan ki kami nahi hogi tumhe. 5000 sevikaye sadev tumhari seva mei lagi rahegi." Ravan tried to woo her.

Devi Sita being the devout and virtuous woman she was, remained unhinged at the offer.

"Tum Lankapati Ravan ke aishwarya ko nahi jaanti Sundari." He said.

"Murkh, ek gidar hoke Sherni ki kaamna karta hai ? Lagta hai tum mere pati Ram ke shaurya ko nahi jaante. Woh parvat jaise adig aur Indra jaise parakrami hai. Mai tan, man aur hridaye se unke prati samarpit hu. Mujhe kisi anya purush ki koi abhilasha nahi. Jaise prakash ki kirne kabhi Surya se alag nahi hoti, mai bhi Ram se alag nahi ho sakti." Devi Sita said.

Still Ravan tried to convince her with more tempting offers. But Devi Sita firmly cautioned him about dire consequences if he tried to retort to any misadventure.

Realising that she wasn't going to come with him willingly, Ravan dropped his disguise and assumed his original form. He didn't have patience to wait any more.

With his left hand, Ravan pulled Devi Sita by her pious hair and with his right hand he held her thighs and picked her up as she screamed.

"CHHOD MUJHE DUSHT !" Devi Sita yelled as he took her to his flying chariot.

Devi Sita tried to get out from his grip, she cried and screamed for help. Jatayu heard her, and came quickly only to see Ravan trying to fly away from her.

With all the strength he had, Jatayu attacked Ravan, the ferocity was such that the king of Rakshasas was suprised. But still Ravan was too powerful for the aged Jatayu. Picking up his sword he cut the wings of the old Gidd-raj and inflicted a fatal blow on him.

There was nothing that could stop Ravan now, he had captured Shri Ram's wife. Jatayu fell down from the sky, but held onto his life. He resisted the comforting hug of death that would liberate him from his pain. He couldn't die before informing this to Shri Ram.

So to those who say 'rAvaN nEvEr tOuChEd sItA'.... Here he very clearly touched her and that too very inappropriately.

He pulled her by her hair and touched her thighs.... Read Mahabharat and you'll know what happens when you pull a woman by hair 🌝

And Jatayu ji.... Respect ✨ Aapka balidaan vyarth nahi jayega 🙏
