Shri Ram entered his bhavan, and like always went to check up upon his daughter Rameshwari. But today she wasn't in her bhavan.

It was unusual today she always stays in her room at this hour, drawing buildings on the paper.

"Stree-adhyaksh ?" He called the woman incharge of this room.

"Ji Maharaj ?" The lady entered with a bow.

"Rajkumari kaha hai ?" Shri Ram asked.

"Rajkumari Rameshwari, Rajkumar Lakshman ke bhavan mei hai." She said.

Shri Ram nodded at her, and the stree-adhyaksh took her leave. He then went straight to the bhavan of Lakshman, and there he was greeted by Urmila.

"Pranaam Maharaj." She bowed.

"Saubhagyavati bhava, Urmila. Kya Ramey yaha hai ?" Shri Ram asked.

At that a smile appeared on the face of Urmila.

"Ji ha. Aayiye mere saath." She said leading the way to her room.

Shri Ram stood at the door step of her room, since it wouldn't be right for the elder brother to enter the room of the younger brother when he is with his wife.

But the scene which he saw made his heart melt from the doorstep made his heart melt.

Lakshman was sitting on the bed in deep slumber with Rameshwari also sleeping peacefully in his arms. While his sons Angad and Chandraketu were keenly looking at them both, suppressing their giggles.

"Yeh dono pehle jhagade, fir sulah kiye, baad mei thak ke so gaye." Urmila said.

"Oh." Shri Ram chuckled and saw how Angad and Chandraketu were trying to tickle their father and elder cousin sister through the feathery end of a quill.

This tickling made Lakshman slightly open his eyes for moment, as he held Rameshwari more securely so his sons couldn't tickle her more.

"Tang na karo Rama ko." He said groggily before closing his eyes again and falling asleep.

"Urmila, Ramey ko mujhe dedo." Shri Ram said.

"Awashya." Urmila nodded.

She went towards Lakshman, tried to move his strong arms so to take Rameshwari but the grip just tightened around her as a frown appeared on Lakshman's face.

"Nahi." He mumbled in sleep.

Urmila shook her head knowing as long as he is asleep, she cannot take Rameshwari out from his arms.

"Swami, uthiye." Urmila said shaking him a little.

"Hmm ? Kya huya ?" He asked opening his eyes.

"Maharaj aaye hai, apni putri ko lene." Urmila said.

At that Lakshman looked at the door step, and sat straight up seeing Shri Ram who smiled at him.

"Bhaiya aap yaha ? Mujhe bula liya hota." Lakshman said as his sons Angad and Chandraketu suppressed their giggles by keeping their hands on their mouths, they for some reason found it funny.

"Tumhari nidra bhang nahi karna chaahta tha." Shri Ram said with a smile.

Lakshman got down from the bed with Rameshwari in his arms. He went to Shri Ram and carefully handed him his daughter.

"Waise bhaiya, woh sandesh-vahak kaisa sandesh laya tha ?" Lakshman asked.

"Woh Shripuram ka sandesh-vahak tha." Shri Ram said.

And just as the name of the kingdom fell on the ears of Rameshwari, her were got opened.

"Maharaj Ratnakar Sagar, Kosal se vyapar sambandh banana chahate hai." Shri Ram said.

And so Rameshwari whose head was resting over her father's shoulder, sat up looking at him, as he too gazed at her.

"Nidra ka anand aya Ramey ?" Shri Ram asked with a smile. She nodded.

"Shripuram se koi aa raha hai ?" Rameshwari asked.

"Tumhare saath khelne hetu ek saathi. Maharaj, apni Maharani aur putra ke saath aa rahe hai." Shri Ram said.

"Putra ?" She asked with interest.

"Ha. Tum usse mili ho, tumhare Nishkraman sanskaar mei woh aya tha. Mrunmaye naam hai." Shri Ram said.

"Mrunmaye." A smile appeared on Rameshwari's lips, taking that name.

"Bada natkhat tha woh bhaiya, Rama ke saath khelne ki maang toh aise kar raha tha jaise apna adhikaar jata raha ho." Lakshman said.

At that Rameshwari snapped her head at him, looking at Lakshman with a pout, as Shri Ram chuckled at his brother's overprotective nature.

"Balak toh hote hi aise hai Lakshman." Shri Ram said.
