Cedric smiled in spite of himself as he crossed the courtyard, having just successfully asked you out on a date. His friends crowded around him, laughing merrily as they teased him;

"Cedric's got 'imself a girlfriend!"

"Our little Diggory is all grown up!"

He waved the jests off and glanced back at you just once more. You smiled and waved, your cheeks dusted rosy pink, and his heart warmed, knowing that he could ignore the teasing just so long as you would let him hold you close to his heart.
