A part of Via just wanted to hug her, but another, more dominant part, just wanted to stay put.

Kristina's eyes took the chance to study ever inch of the woman that stood before her. Her gaze fell to her hands, hoping to see the bracelet Kristina made for her on the last date they ever had together.

But it wasn't there.

Kristina stepped closer to Via, a warm smile appearing on her face. "I didn't know you were coming too."

Via opened her mouth to speak, but had to clear her throat so atleast some sound would come out. "I-I wanted to say a final goodbye to this place. You know, to get some closure."

Kristina nodded. "Closure's good. Closure's...nice. So uh, what's life been like for you?"

"Good. It's been, um... good. Got an Office job and it's actually quite fun", replied Via.

"An Office job?", questioned a surprised Kristina. "I mean, that's great, of course! But I... I thought you were going to pursue music?"

Via frowned. Since losing contact with Kristina, Via's confidence had crumbled. Her friends and family didn't truly understand her love for music. They hadn't seen how music literally became a survival tool for her on the island. They didn't know how much it truly meant for her.

But Kristina did.

"You know, we talked about contacting different record labels and getting your music out there", added Kristina.

Via nodded. "Y-Yeah, I remember. It just... wasn't meant to be, I guess. But enough about me. What about you?"

"Oh uh, I've been working on expanding my fashion business. My two best friends, the ones you met, are helping out and other branches in different countries. We've got a store opening up in London next week, actually", replied Kristina.

Via was taken aback. Not at all she had achieved, no. Via always knew Kristina was destined for great things. But she seemed to be pushing herself really hard. "That's amazing, Kristina! You are remembering to take breaks though, right? Remember we talked about knowing when to relax and make time for yourself?"

Kristina nodded.  "Oh yeah, yeah, for sure. This is just really important."

"Yeah but so are you, Kris", said Via.

A small smile appeared on Kristina's face.

"What?", questioned Via.

"Nothing. It's just... it's been a long time since you've called me that", said  Kristina.

She looked up and her eyes met with Via's. "I've really missed you, Via."

Via's heart thumped rapidly in her chest. "I... I've really missed you too."

The pair just stood there, staring into each other's eyes. Nothing could tear them away from each other. In this moment, they weren't Via the music girl and Kristina the fashion designer.

In this moment, they didn't have to be anywhere else.

In this moment, they were just Via and Kristina.

Unable to hold back any longer, Kristina surged forward and kissed Via, getting lost in the hunger and passion of the moment. Via melted against her touch, and the pair ended up in a heated embrace.

Via's phone vibrated, making her pull away. She got out her phone, eyes widening when she saw the name. She looked up and saw that Kristina was staring too.

It was right there in front of them both.
