"Thanks for helping me move in guys, I'm so excited to get my old stuff back," hunk hugged his parents as each Paladin had their own one bedroom one bathroom cabin in the garrison, all sharing the same hall. They were identical but they each were able to style and decorate to their liking.

"I'm so excited to use earth ingredients again too!" He laughed as Pidge and Matt walked by with boxes to her cabin with their dog walking with them.

"So You know you can't just use the bedroom as a tech room and the living room as your sleeping space," Matt looked at his sibling as Sam and Colleen were setting up pidges bed frame in her room.

"Says who? It's my room!" Pidge groaned.

"Says me, not happening kid," Shiro knocked on her door as Keith peaked in curiously.

"I knew they gave me the smallest cabin," Keith mumbled annoyed.

"Also please someone come with me to make sure Keith unpacks his place," Shiro whispered to the holts.

"What makes you think I won't?!" Keith cried back.

"Because you would live out of the boxes if you could," lance grinned passing them to his cabin.

"Bingo," Shiro agreed.

"Oh please, like you'll be any better," Keith flipped them both off.

"I actually got a bed frame, bed skirt, sheets, comforter, more than just one pillow," lance hummed going inside.

"So?" Keith didn't understand.

"And it's not all the color of my lion," lance smiled.

"Hey wait were color coding our rooms!" Pidge over heard.

Lance snorted shaking his head as he looked around, he had mostly new stuff and a few thrifted items from the market, luckily as a Paladin he got lots of it for free.

He went to his room to put his bed together and his closet so it didn't look so trashed. He didn't want to be out with the others and their families, Veronica didn't talk to him since the medical wing. He always thought when he'd get his own place she'd at least be there with him.

Lance focused getting his room finished as he set up the nightstand next to his queen size bed that was centered, he liked that he could have rugs as well, it gave it more of a home feel affect. Walking on metal floors for the past few years made him really appreciate carpet, but he did miss the way wooden floors creaked.

"Wow your room looks so..." Allura peaked in curiously and lance threw his pillows on the bed to finish the look, it was a cream color comforter with orange and red pillows, just for a little color coding.

"I wanted to do green pillows but I think Pidge would kill me," lance shrugged as he stood on his light ashy grey rug.

"She probably would," she giggled.

"It's nice to be able to do this, I know it probably won't matter if we're gone again but still," lance sat on the edge of the bed.

"What? Not enough interior designers in the galra headquarters?" Allura teased but lance just sat there awkwardly.

"Uh.. to soon," he rubbed his arm.

"I'm sorry, I thought you and Lotor were together..." she gulped.

"We're not..." he mumbled looking down.

"Then yesterday with the panic attack thing?" Allura sat with lance on the edge of the bed.

"He needed someone, I just needed him to calm down," Lance gulped a little, the little forehead kiss she must've been confused with.

"We talked though, we're on the same page, that we're not together," he sighed a little.

"So you would be able to see other people and Lotor can't get mad?" Allura raised a brow.

"I-" lance thought about it for a moment. They were technically single. Lotor could date Allura and it wouldn't be cheating. He wouldn't- she wouldn't-

"I still love him, I'm still so in love with him, I just can't get back together with him without him earning that trust again ya know?" Lance picked at his nails nervously.

"I guess I don't know, I've never been in that kind of love, if it was me in this situation I don't know what I would do, he tried to kill you and your friends," Allura sighed softly looking out the door.

Lance frowned but kept his mouth shut. How was that different than what voltron did to him? But he couldn't say that, he didn't want to cause a scene or drama again.

"Well that's something we'll never have in common, ive seen who Lotor truly is and I know he's good, I don't jump into assumptions," lance shrugged getting up and went to his last box to start unpacking.

"Like everyone else I know, it's about earning my trust, you can't just have it back over night, you seem to forget that," he took some textbooks out to put on a shelf. Allura was caught off guard.

"I'll leave you to unpacking then, let me know if you need help otherwise Lance," Allura rolled her eyes a little and left the cabin.

Lance pursed his lips and went to close the door behind her so no one else came barging in. For people who always yelled at him for being loud and obnoxious, they were so annoying.

"Is this what human interiors usually look like? Or is the galra that dull?"

Lance shrieked surprised at the sneak attack as he saw Axca standing in the door of his room.

"I locked the door!" Lance wheezed from the scream.

"You closed the door, didn't lock it," Axca crossed her arms looking down at him as lance got back to his feet.

"Your going to break into my place and not even hug me?" Lance pouted and a small smile crawled on her lips.

"I missed you~" lance sang and she wrapped her arms around him as lance laughed hugging her back tightly.

"I guess I missed you too," she mumbled making lance laugh more.

"How's the marmora?" He asked as they went to go sit on the couch.

"Getting stronger... I think I might stay with kolivan to keep helping," Axca nodded softly as she looked around lances apartment curiously.

"How's Lotor?" She raised a brow.

"He seems like his old self again.. he's apologized and is working on himself, Shiro trusts him as his right hand right now," lance sighed softly with a shrug.

"And you two...?" She crossed her legs.

"I want to see if it's an act or not, he has no power here, but it doesn't mean I won't be his friend," he pursed his lips and Axca nodded slowly.

"But I think Allura has feelings for him still, and we're broken up so what if-" lance stopped himself he sounded ridiculous.

"He won't, insane or not he still is completely yours," Axca smiled a little.

"Ugh I'm sick of talking about this, so what did you do with keiths mom and Kolivan? Make good friends? See any pretty ladies?" Lance winked and Axca stuck out her tongue.

"We went to find other marmora members that have survived, and new ones as well, once Kolivan was better of course," she shrugged a little. They talked for a few minutes and someone knocked on the door again.

"Should I just get rid of the door at this point? Come in!" Lance called and Veronica walked in with a box of stuff.

"Hey," she pursed her lips and saw the new face.

"Hi, this is my friend axca, she was also one of Lotors generals," lance introduced the hybrid woman.

"This is my oldest sister Veronica," he motioned to her for Axca.

"Nice to meet you," Axca nodded and Veronica blushed a little nodding back.

"I-I brought you some stuff I thought you'd like for your new place, just from my apartment when you lived with me," Veronica set the box on the side table. Lance walked over curiously.

"Just old shirts, and I printed some old pictures and framed them in case," she opened the box and lance pursed his lips seeing some, there was one that he remembered Veronica took his picture when he dressed as a cadet for the first time, and she framed his acceptance letter from the garrison...

"Thanks v," lance whispered as his chest tightened.

"I got a picture of Chloe for you too but if you don't want it I'll take it out now," Veronica whispered and lance took his hand out of the box.

He hesitated but shook his head and closed the box.

"You can leave it, I'll go through it later, thank you," lance whispered closing his eyes.

"Veronica, I'm sorry for the other day," he gulped softly.

"It's okay, did you still..." Veronica asked quietly but he shook his head more.

"No, I don't want to see them, or Luis, or marco, I don't know if I even want to see Rachel," lance hugged his body tightly as he looked at the ground.

"I understand, I just thought after these years you might want to reconnect," Veronica touched his shoulder gently.

"No, I don't, I'm sorry but I really don't, even if they forgave me for the accident I still can't see them as my parents, not after it all," lance rasped biting his lip.

"Yea, understandable, I'll be here for you though you know that right? We'll fight but im still your big sister, and your still my baby brother, I raised you and rach," Veronica told him in a voice that made lance want to hug her like he was a child again and knew she would protect him. She protected him more than their mother ever will.

"I know," he smiled at her.

"Finish unpacking, I'll bring you some dinner later," she patted the top of his head and left lance to the cabin with Axca.

He looked back at his friend and noticed the look in her eyes and the little blush on her cheeks. He looked back at where Veronica left then back at Axca.

"Oh no you don't, no ideas!" Lance gasped modified.

"I'm not-what are you talking about?!" Axca covered her cheeks wide eyes.

"No! Don't you fucking dare!" He pointed at her.
