Lance gasped snapping his eyes open only to see himself in some sort of void and saw the other Paladins... but no Shiro...

"Shiro!" Allura called first.

"Shiro!" Hunk and Pidge called confused. Soon they all where trying to call for their black Paladin as a purple circle for where he would stand was fading in and out

"Shiro!" Lance yelled and they could see a faded figure of their leader standing there. There was lights that surrounded each of them and soon everyone was being sent back to reality but lance and Shiro where last.

"Lance," shiros voice seemed softer and further as it was hard to hear in the void with energy passing them like howling winds.

"Lance listen to me..."

"What?!" Lance yelled confused as he felt a tingle in his spine feeling something was off but he was pulled back to his body as well. It was to late.

But Voltron was able to break free.

"We're back baby!"

"Attack the cruisers!"

Lance groaned softly as his ears rung and the noise around him was muffled while his head felt a thousand pounds heavier but he forced himself to open his eyes and lift his head.

He focused on the chaos around him only to see a blue beam coming at them. He cried out as Voltron moved the side and the beam hit the galra cruiser. Lances eyes widen seeing it was the galra.. he was right...

"Yes! We did it!" Matt cheered holding his hand up after they where able to shoot the ion canon at the galra. He held his hand up high for Lotor but the prince just gave him an unamused and slight confused look.

Matt laughed awkwardly pulling his hand back as Lotor paid no attention to him as he was focus on Voltron.

"You must stop that beast," ryner told them.

The beast slid into the Olkari city and changed up to hit the ion canon but just as it launched, Voltron flew in like a bullet and blocked the blast with its shield and flew at the beast determined to finish the fight.

They all screamed as they used they're strength to push the beast back from the city and into the distance with less lives to threaten of the battle. It used its vines to wrap around the lions and started to pull Voltron in by its legs and the green lion arm but left the red lion free.

"The virus is trying to absorb Voltron!" Pidge cried out with a grunt.

"Are any of the lions free?" Shiro yelled as no one could see anything and was right in front of the beast while it's mouth opened with a glowing purple light inside its mouth.

"Lance!" Allura called as he never responded after the others replied that they're stuck again.

Lance let out a battle cry pulling his lever back and reds mouth charged up with a powerful blast as he slammed into the beasts mouth releasing a powerful blast to destroy the thing that threatened innocent lives.

The battle on Olarki was over.

The Paladins, Matt, coran and Lotor stood on Voltron as they watched the sunset with the golden ocean below them. Lance sat on voltrons shoulder as Matt and Pidge where on a plate form but Lotor stood on the end of it and saw lance excluded from the others more.

He had to speak with Pidge and Matt first.

"Matt... Pidge..." Lotor turned to the siblings.

"I have looked into my own studies of the galra scientist, I know where your father is and I sent my generals to go retrieve him, he should return to the castle before nightfall," Lotor placed his hands behind his back as Matt had a hand on his sisters shoulder but pidges eyes widen with tears.

"You found our father?" She breathed.

"Samuel holt, a great mind but it was easy as he's our only human scientist, I can clearly see you both have his genetics," Lotor let a smirk pass but grunted feeling a small impact around him by the waist and saw Pidge with her small arms around him.

"Thank you, thank you so much!" She had a tear run down her cheek and Lotor set both of his hands on her shoulders and she looked up at him sadly.

"It must be hard to see a dad with his children when it's so different from yours," she sniffled quickly.

"I'm sorry for your lost though, and everything you've gone through, Lance is good for you," she smiled up at him and Lotor smiled a little back and looked back at lance.

"Your good for him too," she nodded and nudged Lotor off the plateform for him to go to his beloved.

Lotor took a moment to just admire the relaxation in lances features as he was lost in the sea before them. Lotor just wanted to enjoy the moment for a second.

"Hey Shiro, what where you trying to tell me on that void thing back there?" Lance asked as Lotor was a little farther back but he didn't seen his boyfriend yet. 

"What do you mean?" Shiro looked at him confused.

"You were shouting at me, but I couldn't hear you," lance said quietly, he just felt tired.

"I don't know, things got dark there for a second..." Shiro looked down but glanced back at lance with a smirk.

"But good work today, you jumped right back in the fight and took responsibility, I'm sorry for yelling at you before," he smiled gently and lance sent a soft smile back but looked away frowning.

Lance felt a presence behind him and looked to see Lotor kneeling down behind him and held his hand out for lance.

"Mind if I steal you away Paladin?" Lotor asked smiling gently.

"Not the first time my prince," Lance smirked grabbing his hand and Lotor pulled him to his feet and held lances hand tightly.

"I promise to return him in one piece," Lotor looked at Allura who eyed them for a moment but nodded as the couple went on the plateform to get off Voltron.

Lances and Lotors armor was left on the dry sand of the beach as they walked to the golden waters with no shoes and their pants rolled up but they both hand on their black long sleeves on still.

"You okay love? Was quite a battle," Lotor held his hand tightly as lance blinked softly and leaned towards him more.

"I'm fine, no wounds," Lance smiled up at him but felt the water splash against his feet and stopped.

Lotor looked back at him as lance wiggled his toes in the sand and waters with a little smile as Lance beamed up at him.

"You miss the ocean," Lotor sat in the sand with his toes in reaching distance of the warm waters. Lance sat next to him and leaned against his shoulder as Lotor wrapped his arm around him.

"Yea, but when I see it again, I get to show you it, the ocean I grew up on," Lance hummed playing with Lotors hand.

"I'm excited to show you my home, I know you never had a real planet to call home but I hope Earth can fill a little of it," Lance kissed his knuckles softly and Lotor chuckled.

"My love your all the home I need," Lotor rubbed his tan knuckles gently and Lance giggled.

"Are you sure your alright?" He asked slightly concerned.

"Shiro... shiros not the same, somethings wrong I think," Lance sighed looking at the ocean.

"I'm not sure how your leader was but I hope he wasn't always so harsh on you," Lotor nodded and kissed his head.

"Not always, I saw him as my hero," lance let out a shaky breath.

"I'm sorry I'm just... I'm just exhausted," lance yawned a little as his eyes felt heavier as he looked at the ocean again.

"Don't fall asleep on me yet," Lotor teased but realized it was to late. He looked down and saw lance nuzzled against the crook of his neck as he slept against his lover.

"Well I guess I'll let it slide this one time," Lotor smiled pushed some hair out of the humans face.

Lotor couldn't help but feel paranoid of seeing his lover in battle and he was completely useless to the fight. If it was zarkon who was leading that battle and not some power thirty galra he couldn't do a damn thing, he couldn't stop zarkon from taking the only good thing in his life.

If a blade went through lance during that battle with his father.

Lotor closed his eyes tightly trying to control his breathing but felt lance shuffle againsts him as his hand softly held onto Lotor as his cheek was pressed against his heart. Lotor relaxed seeing he was safe.

"Alright love, I'm sure you'll want a real bed," Lotor gulped and lofted lance in his arms bridal style as lance groaned a little but stayed sleeping in Lotors arms while being carried. Like the first time Lotor saved his life.
