I've been reading books of old,
The legends and the myths

I've been reading and watching more and more books and movies that involve superheroes and mythology, and it's really interesting!

Achilles and his gold, Hercules and his gifts

I love reading everyone's different stories, and how they thrived after they solved their problems!

Spider-Man's control, and Batman with his fists

I love Spiderman especially!! I wish I could be a superhero like them, because maybe then I'd be worthy of.. well.. I don't really know what.

And clearly I don't see myself upon that list..

Maybe if I was like them— if I had super strength, If I was rich, if I could climb walls—

"Scar! Where do you wanna go?" Mumbo laughs. "Well how much are you willing to risk?" I playfully answer.

"Everything! As long as we're together!" He answers.
"We don't have much to lose! We could go anywhere!" I yell to the sky.

I look back over at Mumbo and he starts laughing, it's adorable to see him so happy.

I don't answer I just follow his steps.

I know I can trust him, so I do. I don't need to be suspicious or cautious of where he's taking me, I just need to follow.

"Yeah?" I turn to look at Scar, but I quickly turn back to the ground.
"What's wrong?"

But I'm not the kind of person that it fits

"Nothings wrong! Why would anything be wrong? I'm fine I promise!" I let out a nervous chuckle.
"Mumbo."

She said where'd you wanna go?

"Yeah, Scar?"

"You said you could risk anything. Right, Mumbo?"
"Yeah.. yeah I did"

I don't even have time to process the feeling of Scar's lips against mine before it goes away far too quickly.

"YES!! Finally!!" Scar jumps slightly in excitement, and pulls me in once more. This time the kiss is slower, and lasts longer. I bring my hands up to cup Scar's face as I feel one of his palms tracing up my spine to my neck, and the other on my waist. After a time, we reluctantly pull apart for air and I find myself chasing after the touch. "I love you, Mumbo"
