₊❏❜ ⋮ ⌒ ONLY AN HOUR AGO... was when everyone had been together. Thomas had not so kindly injected his friend with the blue serum, but that didn't so much since most of the disease had taken over Newts blood — that just meant they had to work faster. Kohana and Charli had been standing together, the younger girl making sure Charli knew that this would have happened no matter what and that it wasn't his fault. And everyone else had been doing their own thing as they waited for Newt to regain just enough strength to start walking again.

When Newt did, everyone had ran and tried their best to avoid the riots that were happing around them. Let me tell you, they did not enjoy being shot at either as they ran.

"Thomas? Can you hear me? I need you to listen to me. I know you have no reason to trust me... but I need you to come back. Thomas you can save Newt." Theresa voiced over a city wide announcement, it was loud and anyone that was near by could hear it. "There's still time for him, even ask your new friends." She was referring to the heroes, since she had somehow figured out that they knew his blood could save Newt, maybe she just had a gut feeling. "There's a reason Brenda isn't sick anymore. It's your blood. Do you understand? She isn't sick because you cured her. She doesn't have to be the only one. All you have to do is come back and this will all finally be over. Please, just come back to me. I know you'll do the right. . ." And then it stopped before Theresa could finish her call to Thomas.

Charli, Zay and Dally all turned towards Thomas, it's like they were asking for him to go without talking. I mean, they couldn't take his blood, none of them knew how, and not ti mention they didn't even know how to make the cure.

Gally and Minho had run off and attempted to find Brenda, wanting to tell her that there was still things they needed to do before they could leave. Adi, Kat Liam, and Kohana had followed them.

"Stay with Newt. Please." Thomas pleaded as he looked towards Charli. Charli nodded in repose. "Thank you."

"We're coming with you." Zay and Dally stepped up as they both looked towards Thomas. They could help, they could make sure that Thomas didn't do anything reckless. Well they could try.

"It's to dangerous." Thomas shook his head and picked up a gun from the ground with hopes it had bullets he could use if he needed.

"It's what we sighed up for." Zay took another step forward as he talked. It was true, that's what the group of heroes had signed up for back on their own home planet.

        "Alright, come on." Thomas waved the two forward and started to walk towards the building where he knew Theresa would be.

Inside the building stood a woman dressed in light colours. Thomas, he knew her and the other two could tell by the way he raised the gun towards her.

"Is it true? Newt, could I save him?" Thomas asked the woman with shaking hands.

"You can save us all." Thomas sniffled and drop the gun at his feet when he heard the woman say that.

Zay and Dally stood behind him as they watched Thomas and the other woman interact. Standing side by side, they clutched each other as a gunshot rang though the air and the woman dropped to the ground.

Thomas fell to the ground next when the man who fired the gun stabbed him with a sedative, and then so did Dally and Zay when they were the next to be hit with a sedative.

₊❏❜ ⋮ ⌒ BEING STRAPPED TO ... an medical table was not fun, Zay and  Dally would tell you that.

Speaking of Zay and Dally they were just waking up from their sleep. Theresa was heading towards Zay with a syringe in hand, ready to take a sample of his blood. Dally didn't like that too much and started to shift and shake from where she was.

      "Stop! Leave him alone." Dally shook her head as she talked quickly.

      "Who knows, maybe you both are a cure as well." Janson, a wicked man who like to be in control spoke. His words sent shivers down Zay and Dallys spines.

     "No, l-leave them alone." Thomas groggily spoke as he woke.

On a table off to the side was a few syringes full of blue serum, no doubt some from Thomas blood, and the others from Dally and Zays blood.

Theresa grabbed ahold of a glass bottle before Janson could inject himself with the serum he had gotten ahold of. After that, Theresa took all the restraints off of Thomas and then Zay and Dally.

Once they all were free, a small bag was full of blue serum in Zays' hand ( thanks to dally ) they all ran.

They ran and ran but eventually the man had caught up to them. They had been hiding in a room where they kept locked up people who had turned from the virus.

Zay was frantically trying to gather bandages for Thomas, since the other guy had been shot. Dally was trying to find any weapons she could, and Theresa was making sure that Thomas didn't bleed out.

"Theresa, you had me fooled." Janson spoke as he entered the room they were in. When he entered everyone had dropped to the floor to hide themselves.

After a minute or so of hiding. Janson had gotten ahold of Theresa and held her at gunpoint. He wanted to shoot her, he was ready to shoot her if Thomas didn't show himself.

Dally and Zay were quicker though. They through whatever was closest to them both and hit a glass window, cracking it only a small bit.

"Oh no." Janson muttered as the glass continued to break and the infected people charged at the oldest man.

"Let's go! Let's go!" Dally and Zay helped Theresa pick Thomas us as they left the room.

The four made their through the hallways with lots of trouble since Thomas couldn't really stand by himself, oh and not to mention the walls around them that were burning. When they made it to the helicopter pad, no one was there. Turning around a fire boomed just inside the door they had gone through.

"Hey, it's okay." Dally told Zay when she noticed that he had grown pale. "We'll be a-okay."

Zay shook his head, he knew that if a helicopter didn't arrive anytime soon that he would die along side his teammate. He also knew that it would mean the mission failed and the rest of his team would be stuck in this world for the rest of their lives.

       "Thank you." Zay whispered to Dally as he leaned his head on her shoulder. Dally froze at first but then welcomed the actioned and placed her own head on his.

       "Of course, Zay, of course." She whispered back.

Just as everyone was accepting the next thing that would happen, a helicopter appeared with  Brenda and the other heroes inside. Newt was there as well, but it was easy to tell that he wasn't doing the best.

     "Come on! We've got you!" The people from inside the helicopter yelled out.

₊❏❜ ⋮ ⌒ THE BEACH... was beyond beautiful. It truly was. With bright blue waters, mountains that could stretch and stretch for miles on end, bright green fresh trees.

It's something that not everyone could experience in their live, but today a select few could. These few were sitting on the beach with their feet in the water.

"It's so weird." Liam spoke as he looked around. The past 24 hours ( maybe more, it's not like they were paying attention to that ) had been so hectic that it was odd that they were given some peace.

"It is, but it's nice." Kat nodded as she picked up a rock from beside themselves and threw it into the water.

"What's next? What do we do next." Adi questioned as he wiggled his feet in the water, wet sand and some dirt resting on his feet.

        "Maybe we won't know. Maybe something will just happen and we'll be where we need to be next." Kohana spoke as she brightly smiled at everyone.

       "They're awake!" Someone yelled out and that was enough to have the group sitting on the beach run towards a small hut.

Inside the hut, was a now awake Dally and Zay. The two had passed out from pure stress and the feeling that they were going to die. Luckily there had been some medical people when they arrived at the beach and would take care of them for what they all had done.

Oh, and Thomas was awake as well.

        "Dally! Zay!" The group exclaimed and rushed towards the two who stepped towards them with open arms.

Newt had been given the serum with Thomas's blood, and he's been great ever since.

Because of that, the heroes had competed their mission with just a few bumps along the way. They never realized what they had signed for and what it would do to alter things when they showed up. But they're glad they've signed up, and they wouldn't trade it for anything else. Not only do they get to help others avoid death, but they also get to meet people along the way that they wouldn't have even thought of if they didn't get chosen.

      "Thank you. For everything."
