It just so happened that two dwarven brothers had developed feelings for a certain Y/N along the course of a grand quest of which she had aided them much and befriended them both. They weren't quite sure if she fancied one of them in return, and so concocted a plan one evening. While she tended to the campfire, a content smile on her face, Fili and Kili pulled aside Bilbo Baggins, the troupe's resident burglar, and told him all about their plan. His eyebrows flew up and his eyes widened. He turned to stare at the object of their affections, frowning, but she caught him looking and waved with the kind, friendly grin that was characteristic of Y/N. He offered a weak smile in return before swivelling his head back to face the brothers, shaking his head and his finger sternly, entirely dismayed by what they requested of him. 

"Me? No. No, no, no."

Less than a minute later, Bilbo found himself reluctantly standing before you, hands behind his back as he shifted awkwardly on his feet. "Y/N?" he asked and you looked up from the fire, apparently blinking out of your thoughts, offering him another warm smile. "Yes, Bilbo?" He gave a sigh, kicked at a rogue acorn by his left foot, and asked;

"Who is it that you fancy?"

You looked surprised for a moment before your smile grew and you tilted your head at him.

"Why, it's you, Bilbo."

From their spying position behind a nearby tree, the brothers' jaws both dropped as Bilbo's eyes widened for what would not be the last time that evening. Little did you know the drama caused by powerful affections you had just evoked amidst the trio involved here...
