Fili looked around and realized, along with his fellow dwarves, that they had, indeed, been in this clearing before- twice, if he remembered properly. Mirkwood was a tricky forest, and the group had become lost frighteningly quickly. The path was nowhere to be found, hope was dwindling, and Mr. Baggins' declaration had brought down the spirits of the Company even more. The final blow came when Fili's eyes widened and he began to panic because:
