Chapter seventeen
Love
Ryssa's POV:
The more time Kylo and I spent together, the more he'd come out of his shell. It was nice. I wasn't expecting him tonight. The sun began to set on Naboo and I decided I'd take a bath, filling the tub with tons of bubble bath. I settled into the bath, letting the hot water relax me. I closed my eyes and began to tune everything out. Two hands touched my shoulders and I immediately gasped. "It's me. It's just me." Kylo said. "Ben." I said in a relived voice. An annoyed sigh left his lips and I said "sorry. It's a habit." He sat down, cross legged next to the claw foot tub. "It's ok. So, you look like you're enjoying yourself." He said. I nodded and said "I am." Kylo looked at the ground and I felt him being under pressure. "What's troubling you?" I asked him. He stuck one of his hands in the warm water, holding my hand. "Nothing. I'm fine." He said. I shook my head and said "something is bothering you. What is it?" He brought my hand to his lips, kissing it. "It's just some stuff with Hux. He's just getting on my nerves is all. Nothing extreme." Kylo let go of my hand and ran his hand up and down my thigh. "We're throwing a ceremony later this week." I said. "A ceremony?" He said. "A celebration. It's for me. Me being queen. I wish you could come and see how beautiful it is. The ceremony happens almost every year. Kylo looked at me as I continued to talk about it, his eyes focused on me. "You're so beautiful." He whispered.

I half smiled and leaned in to kiss him, pressing a kiss to his lips. "You should come in. You'd be a lot more relaxed." I said. He shook his head and said "there's not enough room for both of us." "That's a crock cause we can make room." I replied. "You really want me too?" I nodded and then an idea popped into my head. "I could braid your hair." Kylo immediately shook his head. "No. You're not doing that." "Please? Your hair is so beautiful." "Another time." He replied as he began to get undressed, getting into the tub with me. He rolled his eyes. "I told you there'd be no room." "Quit complaining." I said. He looked at the bubbles surrounding us and said "did you really need all these bubbles?" "It makes taking a bath ten times better." Kylo chuckled softly and I said "will you spend the night?" He nodded and said "have you been sleeping?" I shrugged and said "kind of. I always sleep better when I'm with you." "Me too. I'm able to fall into a deep sleep." He said as he tried to pull me into his lap. "This isn't going to work." I said as I tried not to laugh. "Shut up and let me try." He mumbled. He realized that wasn't going to work and had me turn around. My back was to his chest as he ran his hand up and down my thigh. I leaned my head against his shoulder and his arm was around my waist, holding me tight. I looked up at him and he looked at me. "What?" He said. I shook my head and said "I'm just glad you're here." He removed his hand off my thigh, bringing my face closer to his. He pressed his lips to mine and pulled away. He sighed and said "I don't want to prune." I rolled my eyes, sitting up. "You're complaining an awful lot tonight." "Can we just lay in your bed? Please? I've had the longest and most annoying day of my life." Kylo said. I giggled and said "well the only way we can do that is if you let me go." I looked at his arm wrapped around my waist. He removed his arm and I unplugged the tub. I grabbed a towel and said "stay. I have to grab you one." I gave him one out of the cabinet and said "I gotta get dressed." He nodded and I left him in the bathroom, pulling my nightgown on. Kylo grabbed me from behind, only in his boxers. "Do you plan on getting dressed?" I asked him. "I'm not putting my uniform back on. No way." I giggled as I walked to my bed, Kylo hot on my trail. As soon as I sat down, he pulled me into his lap. I straddled him and he kissed my lips passionately, moving to my neck. I wrapped my arms around his neck and held him close to me. He wrapped his arms around my waist, hugging me tightly. I played with his hair and said "what is it?" "I missed you." He said into the crook of my neck. "I missed you too." I replied. He squeezed me and said "I hate being without you. I don't feel like myself." I went to pull away to look at him and he held me in place. "Now That Snoke is dead, everything is on me. Literally everything and it's stressing me out. You're the only thing that keeps me sane and helps me not freak out when I'm dealing with Hux. I just think of you. If you were by my side it'd be better but I can come see you whenever I want because of the freedom I have. That's the only good thing about being Supreme Leader. I don't answer to anyone." Kylo said. I stroked his head, a sigh left his lips as my fingers ran through his hair. "Don't stress about whatever is going on. Push it aside and just remember that you have me. It'll help. When stuff gets hard, I remember that I have you. And that we're together. It helps me get through the day sometimes. My parents and I are on better terms but still. It still helps to know that me and you are actually together." I said to him. Kylo squeezed me again. "I love you." He barely said audible. He let me pull away from him and I looked at him. "What?" I asked in disbelief. Kylo gulped and said "I love you." He brushed a strand of hair behind my ear and I said "I love you too." A smile appeared on his lips and I kissed him passionately. I pulled away and he said "I'm so glad that I have you." The two of us laid down and he pulled me onto his chest. "You'll be here when I wake up?" I said. "I'll make sure to wake you before I leave. So you can see me before I have to go." He replied. I nodded against his chest and let sleep take over my body.
