(Based on the movie: Deliver Us From Evil)

Summary: After having some mysterious apparitions in your home, you decide to offer your help to some police officers. You team up a cop and a priest to bring back someone you cared about.

"I need some men in there. Some weird fucking shit have been happening lately." I held onto my umbrella and stood in the shadows while overhearing the cops talk about the dead body they found inside a building.

"I want to help."

The cops turn to look at my direction and one of them comes and pins me to the wall. "You're the woman I saw hiding. Should we have her arrested, Ralph?"

"What? For eavesdropping." I glare and take the officers hand off my shoulder. I look at the other cop who looks confused.

"I know you met Father Mendoza. I was a private investigator back then, I'm no cop but I can gladly help you out. The man you saw, he's been appearing at my apartment, I've caught sight of him every now and then, though it hasn't harmed me.I saw the way that woman, Jane acted, she didn't go crazy, officer." The cop stood still and listened to me when I got closer to him.

"I know you met Father Mendoza. I was a private investigator back then, I'm no cop but I can gladly help you out. The man you saw, he's been appearing at my apartment, I've caught sight of him every now and then, though it hasn't harmed me.I saw the way that woman, Jane acted, she didn't go crazy, officer." The cop stood still and listened to me when I got closer to him.

Officer Ralph looked at me the back to his partner. "Let's go to the station." I folded my umbrella and got inside the police car.

Soon we reached the station and the two officers sat me down. "So? you gonna talk?" The younger looking offer asked.

I rolled my eyes and stared at the other. "Possession, officer. This is what Father Mendoza and I would call it."

"Come on." Ralph took my shoulder and began walking me back to the entrance.

"Wait hold up-"

"Is this the way to treat a lady?" I recognized the voice and saw Mendoza was behind me and smirked at us.

"She's right, (Y/N) and I have been friends for three years now. We met when I overheard she's been fascinated with horror related things. Take me to her." Mendoza pulled me aside do I wouldn't be kicked out.

Butler who's Ralph's partner couldn't believe it when he let us into Jane who was being held in a cell. "Who even are you?"

I ignored their questions and stepped closer to the cell when you couldn't see a thing because it was so dark. The woman crawled over speaking in Latin and bit Ralph's arm.

"She's speaking Latin. We need to talk."

"Show me the footage you and your men found from the zoo." I confidently tell Ralph knowing he'll show me.

The man stared at me for a bit but agreed. There on the footage was a lion and a man inside, the animal did nothing but when the man turned to see the cameras, he was staring straight at it but his face was covered in scars and almost didn't seem human.My heart stopped for a split second when I stared at the horrifying face. " I met Jane a while back, I wouldn't consider her a close friend."

"How'd you meet her?"

"Through Santino." I answer the men.

"How'd you know him?" They began to get curious.

I take a deep breath and looked away from the computer. "We dated back then, I broke it off before he went to the military. That man in the footage.. that's him."

"Well shit." Mendoza said and patted my back. "So that's why you rejected me." He tries to joke to lighten up the mood.

"When men go to the military, they never come the same. Which is why I want to help, one of his two partners is dead so I'm involved wether you men like it or not."

Mendoza scoffs and smiles right after. "I'd listen to her if I were you. She never takes no for an answer."

The three of us had went out, Ralph showed me the Latin words he had found and now I was with Mendoza waiting patiently for Ralph and his team to come our from the building they were in. "Think everything will be okay?" I ask concerned not looking away from the windows.

It was raining heavily do we were inside the car. "Let's hope so."

The both of us jumped when the many windows from the building shattered into pieces. "Shit! You know how to use a gun?!" Mendoza handed me one.

"My mother taught me how to use one and my ex. I'll be fine, let's go!" Mendoza and I ran out of the car and ran into the building as fast as we could.

He had his cross and holy water in case to expell the demon. "Stay behind me." I shouted but rolled my eyes when he ran ahead.

"Don't shoot only if necessary!"

The lights continued to turn itself on and off, I looked around and saw I had lost sight of my friend. "Shit!" I took the left way and stopped when I saw Butler being held against the wall by a figure."Shit.." I held my gun up and pulled the trigger without second thought. The figure screamed in pain turned to look at me with angry eyes, "Snap out of it, Santino! This isn't you."

He bega to step closer to me so I took my fighting stance and began to dodge and hit his attacks when he tried to hurt me. Guess, I'm lucky he thought me a few moves before he left.

I was kicked on the stomach hard so I fell and gasped for hair but I felt Santino grip my hair tight and hit my head against the pavement. I screamed in pain when I felt another sharp pain on the back of my leg.

"Mendoza! Ralph!" I shouted loudly and soon I heard them running and felt the demon leave quickly.

"Oh, fuck." Mendoza ran over to me and I looked back to see I was bleeding heavily, the demon had biten my leg. I ignored the blood running down my head and glanced back to see Butler dead.

"Are you sure you can stand?"

"For Christ sake! I'm not that deeply wounded." I fight my friend Mendoza.

"He caught him you know?"

I exactly know what he means. "He kidnapped his family, be prepared for an exorcism in a short while, and whatever he says, you better ignored him." He warns me and I turn to look at his dark but warm eyes.

"O-Okay." I'll try to stay brave.

"You know? Our relationship wasn't the b-best, we had plenty of fights."

"Sorry to hear that." Mendoza continues to smoke his cigar and smiles. "We'll do our best. Let's head in. Don't speak or look at him if possible." He gives me one last warning and we entered for the exorcism.

"Let the ceremony begin."

I stood in the back and closed my eyes when I heard screaming as the lights went on and off, and Ralph and I continued to listen to Mendoza speak Latin.

I stared horrified when the demon kept ignoring Mendoza and the speeches didn't seem to harm him or the holy water, he took a bite out if his own skin and kept bleeding profoundly.

The room went entirely dark and the demon opened his eyes and they seemed darker. "How fun was it when you lost it?"

My throat got tighter when the demon stared at me and smirked. Ralph stared at me concerned and tried blocking my view from the demon.

"What does that mean?!"

"One year ago, I was pregnant and lost the child. Someone came into our home and robbed it, I arrived sooner from work and was attacked by the men who stabbed me."

"Don't look at her demon! Look at me!" Mendoza pulled threw some holy water and kept on asking for the demons name.

I covered myself in the corner of the room and covered my ears. I never wanted this to happen, I'm so weak I can't even be of more help to them.

Suddenly the strong wind and atmosphere seemed to stop. I slowly rose my head and saw the windows had broken into small pieces and rain began pouring into the room.

A horrifying scream was heard before the atmosphere no longer felt heavy

"It's over." I could hear someone whisper. My entire body was shaking from both the cold and by how scared I was, I had never witnessed an exorcism before.

"Everything's okay now, (Y/N)." Mendoza came to my side and helped me up to my fight along with Ralph who I had already considered as an older brother.

I looked ahead and smiled a little, Santino is back again but those many guys are going to hurt a lot. I began to cry at the sight of his weakened and destroyed body.

No words could come our of my mouth, so I ran to him and held onto one of his hand tight and very gently hugged him. "I'm sorry I left you behind." I whispered and felt his other hand on my head.

"We'll get up fixed in no time, the ambulance will be here shortly." I smiled and thanked Mendoza for helping. No demon will ever possess the people I love.

I was very concerned at what might happen next, if Santino would be out on trial or not for being possessed since he did kill people, but nonetheless I would be here with him this time.
