Hello! Welcome to this book. Let's start with some basic things.

I'm a fanfiction writer. While I can (and love) all different types of writing, you now all know this isn't my normal writing, so forgive anything awkward and blame that, okay?

Now that that is out of the way, this chapter is all about me, Kiya Aiko or Starling, and how I ended up on wattpad and in love with fanfiction and how I started writing, and all my secret stories I never published. You'll get some clips of a few of those once I get to that.

All stories (mine and others) and any mentioned websites will be linked to at the bottom.

(If I miss any, comment that please so I can add the link)

Well then, on to the story.

Right now, I am just in my freshman year of high school, but I got into fanfiction about three years ago, over my summer right after sixth grade or there-abouts.

My first ever real fandom that I really fell in love with was an anime called Code Geass.

I watched the whole 50-episode show in one night, and turns out I was so tired I only remembered the beginning few episodes and the very end. So I took a few days to re-watch it and remember all of it this time.

I knew of this little website called "Quotev" that I'd seen around before, and I'd done a quiz or two on it. For those of you who do not know, Quotev is a quizzing and story-writing website. I was only doing random quizzes, so I ended up on the site one day doing whatever quizzes I could find that were based around Code Geass, and I even made my own 30 question quiz about "How Well Do You Know Code Geass" but I was really bad at it and asked a bunch of really hard questions because I had a google doc about every little important thing in every single episode. It was a lot.

But when I get bored, I get really bored, and so after looking up some search words I clicked a random thing hoping for a quiz, but instead I got a fanfiction called "Lelouch of the Rebellion: R-eset" since the seasons were called R1 and R2 instead of S1 and S2 or whatever. Now, here's the kind-of surprising part, I HATED reading with a VIOLENT passion. I never was a big fan of reading, even though I was reading at a 6th grade level by about Grade 1 or 2. I was a really advanced reader, but I didn't care about that and found the practice quite tedious. But seeing as I was bored out of my mind, I read the darn thing and OH MY DID I FALL IN LOVE BY THE TIME THE PROLOGUE WAS OVER. The writer pulled me into such beautiful extension of the story I was mourning the ending of, and I loved every second of it. I didn't have to think up what things looked like, I already knew! I knew the scenery, I knew the characters, I knew it all and I loved every second of it!

Needless to say, it didn't take me more than half a year to read every single fanfiction including all the one-shots on Quotev. Keep in mind, at this time there was something I wasn't into yet.

Shipping.

See, I wasn't homophobic, honestly I didn't care. I was a girl in middle school. Go off and be gay, whatever, how does that effect me? (Now I'm a yaoi loving little potato hah)

That and the fact that Code Geass was set during war time so there wasn't really a good time for romance. To this day, I still don't really ship anything. I am open to all ships, but I don't search for any ship of my own.

However, fictional character x reader, I read all of those too. I shamelessly shipped myself right into the story, and this is when I was introduced to the wonderful world of OCs. I made about 9 OCs and I liked to make a small little "mini-fic" as I called them about the character since I believed (and still do) that you can't just say: "The personality of person x is _____." That isn't enough. You need to see them do things to show that. So I did that and made my OC's.

This is when I got the idea to make my own fanfiction.

At this time, I was in 7th grade, and my English teacher was very VERY relaxed. She decided the English we were supposed to learn wasn't useful really, so she gave us the full 2 hour class as a free period to use the school computers for our own fun and do whatever we wanted to.

So, with all this time I decided I wanted to make a fanfiction and publish it, so what did I make?

I sent myself into the story and she magically teleported into the body of one of my ocs. (Pause for you to all laugh at me)

Yes, I did do "real girl goes into fictional world" and I made my character VERY over-powered. She was loved by all and had a supernatural power so powerful no matter what any character would try she would always win.

But nevertheless, I loved that thing to death and updated it daily. Of course nobody read it, but here comes my first piece of advice.

No not write for anybody except yourself.

I wrote for me, so when I got no love I didn't care at all since I was loving what I was doing.

After I ran quotev dry, one of my friends told me of the four main fanfiction websites: Quotev, Fanfiction.net, Archive of Our Own... and Wattpad.

I decided to go to Wattpad, and I read a bunch of stories there, and even made a new story, about a random OC I thought up and GODDAMMIT I SWEAR I DIDN'T MEAN TO MAKE HER A MARY SUE IT JUST HAPPENED I WAS YOUNG OKAY. We do not speak of Yuki anymore.

I made another story and got a co-author for help with writer's block, then we made a story together even. These two had a little support, but the Quotev style really isn't built for commenting.

But soon enough, my love for Code Geass started losing steam since it had been almost 10 years since the show ended (it's 11 years as of now I think - but they are making a Season 3 now) so the fandom was pretty-much dead.

So, I moved on, and that's when DC Comics and one of their cartoons, Young Justice showed up in my life.

And if you think 9 ocs was alot, I've got news for you.

Now that I had been through a fandom and had a basic idea of what I was doing, I knew how to make an OC.

I did not make 10. I did not make 15.

As of right now, I have over 40 OCs. Forty. Four-zero. MORE THAN THAT.

So... I was a bit obsessed.

But, I also ended up getting into the fandom for the CW's version of The Flash. And did I not know how to keep a fanfic up or what. I made so many little fanfics with two or three chapters with a few thousand words per chapter since I used to force myself to write 3000 words for one chapters. I ended up letting myself do 2000, but I finally remembered my own motto of "Write for you and nobody else" and let myself write until I was happy.

All of those old fanfics have been deleted, except for one, which did make it a good few chapters.

This was my first real fanfic experience, with "Blackbird" being my first story to get comments and love and even reach 1K views, which to me was incredible and really is. 1 thousand reads are alot, and I still can't believe I've now reached 80 thousand.

Blackbird went better than all my others and it had an okay story, but I remembered this one show I had seen on Fanfiction.net. I remember that when I saw it, it only had 2 fanfics written for it. Of course, I thought that it was just a really bad show and didn't think it may only have had a single episode at the time, so I put it into my mind and when I got really bored, I went to go watch it "ironically" because I thought it was going to be terrible.

This, was Assassination Classroom.

My life changed when I watched this, and it changed for the better. I moved on from Young Justice and DC in general for this wonderful world, and you know what?

It took less than 20 seconds of Karma being on-screen for me to instantly ship him with Nagisa without any questions.

One of my friends has read alot of manga, so I asked her if she knew Assassination Classroom, she said yes, and we chatted about it. I fell even more in love and started making some OC's.

I wasn't even done with the show when I made Kyoko-Akabane Ciel, my first OC. Adopted into the Asano family, then moved to the Akabane family. At the time I even thought the snake imagery for bloodlust was Nagisa literally turning into a snake. How naive I was huh haha.

I finished the show and really got to making good OCs.

And enter the very first version of Kiya Aiko.

The first Aiko was my second OC, and my last attempt to stay hooked to the Young Justice Fandom by making her a cross-over character, where she was an assassin from 3-E and all, but somehow Korosensei transported the whole class over to the universe of Young Justice. She had PTSD from being abused, giving her nightmares and a bloodlust like Nagisa's. Her mother had been suicidal, and she was blamed by her father. This abuse is what ended her up in E Class. She was very smart, but because closed off and couldn't study at home, so her grades slipped and boom. E Class. She met Nagisa and he was able to help her some and Karma came and together they helped fix her, and eventually I think I was Karma that had her adopted into his family and her father taken away for child abuse.

Heavy stuff, but I liked her well enough.

I made her little mini-fanfic and moved on.

I liked the name though, so I kept it and made many more Kiya Aiko's. But at some point I decided Kiya Aiko was going to be my alias, so I changed the name of my oc's to Seio Nishi and a few other names like Asami and Kyoko.

But about here is when I wanted to make a Karmagisa book.

I'd read alot and loved them, so I made a story after I found a cool picture to make my cover, I went into MS paint (where I did some digital art and still do), slapped on the name, and posted Chapter One.

My friend (Darkhalogirl3) had popular books with really nice covers and offered to make me a cover, I accepted, so she made me the current cover.

I don't think she even knows how successful the little book she made a cover for for a friend ended up. I'll tell her sometime.

But I was really into it, so I made about 10 chapters in a night so I just updated daily until I got a little writers block and slowed it to a few random times in the week until I finally got to my once a week Saturday posts (Or some random others scattered around cause I'm the author and I can do that).

I remember it only took about two weeks to get 1k views when it had taken a year for Blackbird to do the same thing, and I even remember that in one day my read count went from 3k to 4k. I loved the support and started writing for myself, and my readers. But still mostly for me since I just loved it so much.

I ended up in Arc 2, and I didn't have plans for a second villain since I just couldn't see Silver being the only big bad, so I asked everyone for ideas. I got Shiro, deleted the chapter, but then this happened.

A reader named @Owlfeather45 had an idea and commented it. I decided to use it, so I got rid of the comment to avoid spoiling it for everyone else.

I still have her comment blob saved, and here is what it read:

"Ok, so a "boss", or bad guy, whichever you prefer, manages to poison nagisa. This poison is harmless to normal people, but because of nagisa's alterations, it kills him from the inside. So basically, he's squirming on the ground in pain, while karma is looking at him with a 'wtf' face. However, a chip that is implanted into nagisa's heart protects him and sucks all the negative energy from his body. This chip was created by none other than silver himself, for reasons I'll explain later. This chip is incredibly important to silver. The chip, when hit in a specific way, aka: grazing the chip with a bullet, damaging it, but making sure it's still functional. When the bullet pierces the heart, the now damaged chip swallows the heart whole, crushing it with the bullet still inside the heart. The reason why silver-sensei put the chip in him is simple; because silver wanted to kill nagisa without killing himself due to nagisa's final playing card, something he himself didn't know he had. Silver wanted to make sure that if nagisa DID indeed betray him, and silver had to kill him, that silver wouldn't have to die with nagisa. Because of nagisa' s special abilities, when nagisa dies, he releases a toxic gas from his scales. Nothing can protect you from it, and it basically burns you alive with nagisa's last beats of his heart. It kills anything from a huge area (you can decide how long) and the person who kills nagisa will die with him, no doubt. And since silver is the only one who can kill him in that assassination style, he decided to put that chip in his heart when nagisa agreed to work with him. The chip was a perfect idea, so that if anyone else wanted to kill him, by any means possible, nagisa would still live, and when silver would attempt to assassinate him, the chip would crush his heart before he could release the toxic gas. However, since silver's plan will OBVIOSLY FAIL (it's not actually that obvious) due to the POWER OF LOVE, silver's plan dies with him, or at least, gets dragged behind bars with silver. And, since the poison doesn't work, nagisa lives and the boss fails in his plan."

Since the idea was Owl's, I DM'ed her and we worked together to make it happen, and that's when I offered for her to write with me. At first, the plan was for her just to be an editor, but I saw she was a really good and passionate writer, so I straight up just made her my co-author. Since Wattpad only let's you have one author, we had to go back to my origin.

Quotev.

See, Quotev will let you pick someone who is following you to also have access to the editor for your story, so Owl made an account and boom. We had a platform that we still use now.

And now you are here.

Reading my story and How The Serpent Inside Happened.

NOW SINCE YOU MADE IT THIS FAR YOU CAN SEE SOME OF MY PERSONAL FANFICS AND CLIPS OF OLD DELETED WORKS!

Split In Three - My Mary Sue Code Geass Wattpad Story

The Summary: Lelouch Vi Britannia, Suzaku Kururugi, and Yukia "Yuki" Kanema were all siblings in their own right. Suzaku being a true Kururugi, Lelouch sent as a hostage, and Yuki stumbling into their care after being beaten and broken from years or torment. Split by the Japanese Invasion from Britannia. What happens when they all meet at Ashford Academy, all fighting Britannia with the power of the kings.....

A Clip: I wasn't much surprised when I was offered geass. I knew of it long ago. My father had it. He used it to torment me. So when I was offered it, I knew what to do. I was trapped, wasn't I? I was tied down and being whipped. A mystical woman came to me and gingerly put her pale hands on my own. I was sent into a spiral of lights and offered a geass. I accepted the contract, knowing she wanted to rid herself of his immortality like my mother had. My geass was strange. I knew that it was when I gained my memories back after gaining my new geass. My mother had given me a geass already..... so what did that mean? It was actually simple. A double geass. With the appearance of having one geass in two eyes, I have two geass's in two different eyes. One is Absolute Obedience, and the other is the Seal of Absolute Suspension. But if I use both geass abilities at the same time, they become the ability to "borrow" the geass power of another wielder, giving me whatever power they had. And with this new power set, I call check on Britannia.....

What We Can Do In A Single Moment - My First Flash Fanfic

Clip: Scarlet looked back at her home in Starling City. She took one last look and turned to the man she had grown to call brother: Oliver Queen. Oliver was the only person who could make the lifeless plank of wood that was Scarlet open up.

"Hey, Ollie, is that a tear I see? What happened to my fellow emotionless stick?" Scarlet joked. The two commonly called each other sticks or other wooden objects as if the only inanimate objects that had no emotions were wooden...

"Hey, I'm allowed to be sad that my fellow stick is leaving me." Oliver stated.

"I'm going to miss you bro." Scarlet said, smiling.

"Just stay safe, ok?" Oliver asked, but really more of ordered.

Scarlet rolled her eyes, "You're talking to the best fighter in this city, and may I mention a partner to the Arrow." Scarlet said, flexing her totally existent muscles. The girl may have been strong, but her body sure as heck looked otherwise.

Oliver laughed a bit, "You've got a point. Come and visit. You are always welcome."

"I know Ollie, I'd better be boarding. I'll call the SECOND I get to Central City." Scarlet said, tearing up. She grabbed Oliver and forced a hug. Even though he wasn't much or a hugger, he put up with it for his little sister.

"Go, call me when you are there." Ollie said, obviously holding off with more tears.

Scarlet looked at her brother one last time before taking a seat on the train and leaving for a new home.

CUT OUT A BORING PART

I knocked on the door to Verdant.
"Ollie? Felicity? Dig? Roy? Thea? Hellooooooooo?" I yelled. Felicity opened the door.
"OH MY GOD, SCARLET!" She shouted and gave me a hug that was wayyyyy to tight.
"Felicity! Oh it's been like a week, well for me at least." I said.
"It's been eleven months here, what happened to you?" Felicity said. I pulled her inside and explained how I split my head at the lab after S.T.A.R. Labs blew, how they took me in, and will be continuing testing on me. Felicity looked really shocked but I couldn't wait to ask,
"Lis, where is Ollie?" I had been calling Felicity Lis for a while, ever since she acted at Oliver's secretary, ha, she was NOT a secretary at all. Lis pointed to the Arrow Cave and I walked down.
"Ollie?" I said, walking down the stairs. When Ollie saw me his eyes widened and he ran up to me so fast I could have sworn he teleported.
"Scar, you're OK, you're awake!" He said, sobbing into my shoulder while we were locked in a hug. Not even someone like Damian Dark or even Laurel could break us apart. It was just me and Ollie in our own little world.

"I'm fine, you can't get rid of me by simply splitting my head, you're looking at Alline here." I said. Ollie chuckled and I smiled as I had reached my goal. I pulled Ollie's emotions out and he didn't care, he just let it happen....

At the end of the week|
------------------------------------

My week in Starling was actually quite uneventful, Ollie advised that I didn't announce my leaving as VA. I pulled on my outfit (picture) and got on the train after another hug from Ollie. The train home was alright, but I saw someone on the train I never wanted to see again. My father. When I was a little girl I wasn't allowed to do anything from coughing to talking and if I did anything, he abused me. The only good thing he did was open the door for me to meet Ollie. Back in his playboy days, Ollie saw me bleeding and beat on the street after running, and I was completely unconscious. He brought me to the Queen manor and when they found out that my dad had proceeded to kill my mother, they took me in. I swore the next time I saw him I would drive an arrow right through his chest and he would say hello to mom. I couldn't do it though, on a crowded train, all I could do was wait. And wait I did. All the way to Central City, and then I left. I knew one place that was out of the way and nobody would catch me crying. There was a climbable tree by the Central City Power plant. I hooked my foot on the branch and hoisted myself up. Then I let it all out. Tears stained my face and ran through the fingers covering my eyes. Nothing felt worse than showing the world how weak I really was. Then I saw it. Through my eyes shut I saw a blast of light and I heart a scream. I looked toward the source and saw the man I had only heard rumors from Caitlin about, she had been filling me in on what I had missed when I was in a coma. What scared me was that the Flash was losing, and I was just watching. My shoes hit the dirt at the base or the tree and I ran in. The Flash was hit by the metas lightning and he went down.

"HEY!" I yelled. "COME TRY THAT WITH ME!" I continued yelling. Without a second thought the meta sent lightning my direction and it all went black.

Luminescence - My Second Flash Fanfic

Clip: I never really figured our what really happened that night. One minute I normal the next I wasn't. This, is my story...

§§§§§§§§§§§

"Hey! My name is Luna Hayn! But you all can call me Ms. Hayn. I work as a science professor at Central City University and have been for many years. Today I am here at Littlechapel elementary to show you some science!" I said to the auditorium of kindergarteners sitting in from of me.

"Now today, I have a special show for y'all!" I said, pulling out a cooler from under my table setup. I pulled off the lid and "smoke" poured out the top.

"Do any of you know what's in here? No? Well in here is liquid nitrogen!" I smiled. Just then a flash of light split through the room and a crash was heard. I looked out the window to see a blast of energy erupt from STAR Labs. I felt the blast hit me and a freezing liquid spilled all over me. I looked at my table to see my cooler of liquid nitrogen had fallen atop me. That was the last this I saw before it all went black.....

CUT OUT A BORING PART

"Hello?" I said. Both of the people jumped up and the girl ran over to me and started blabbing.

"Look! Caitlin and Cisco right? I've been up for like, five minutes." I say crossing my arms. "I'm fine. Did I get your names right?" I ask.

"Yes, you did." Caitlin said.

"Great, I need to go see my roommate!" I exclaim and before either of them could say anything I was out the door. I noticed I was at STAR Labs and that my house wasn't far, a five minute walk or so. I ran a bit before slowing down and walking the rest of the way. When I finally reached home I knocked on the door. After a few seconds my roomie Annie opened the door and gave me the biggest hug.

"Luna! You're awake!" Annie loudly said.

"Annie! It's alright! I'm alive!" I said.

"It was so odd! You kept dying, but the EKG wasn't flat lining it just froze! And all the lights kept flickering, then Dr. Wells offered to take you to STAR Labs to help you and at first I was reluctant but he was your hero so I couldn't say no." She smiled and I smiled back.

"Can I come in to my home, I need a nap..." I say. "I may have been in a coma, but I am tired."

"Alright." Annie laughed.

A week or so later (The Flash is a thing now (that kinda timing))

"Lulu!" Annie knocked on my door, using the nickname she had given me when he saw how much I fangirled over an anime character: Lelouch Lamprouge/Vi Britannia. When I sat her down to marathon the show, she started calling my Lulu like Shirley called Lelouch. Except if Shirley wrote her nickname down on a piece of paper it would be spelled Lelou. Leaving my thoughts I looked around my room. Everything was where I had left it. I had changed into a new outfit and was brushing my hair. Some weird things happened when the liquid nitrogen spilled on me. First of all my once shoulder length brunette hair was really long and pure white, and second of all my once deep green eyes were an icy blue that seems to have lost all life to them. I sighed and got on the hat for my dress. I had originally gotten the outfit for a cosplay as Esdeath, but I figured it actually was a sweet outfit. I did adjust it a bit but hey.

Rinnest of Real Life - My very first ever fanfic from Quotev (Never speak of what I share here)

Clip - I opened up google and looked at my drive. My organized folders loaded up and I clicked through the maze until I found my favorite folder: Code Geass. I opened it and checked my doc titled: Code Geass - Alter Ego. Rinnest De La Halliday. A Britannian girl who detested her own country as much as Lelouch. A noble and Knight of Two. I looked at my girl and closed the tab. On to the anime itself. I loaded up Season 1 Episode 22 first and clicked to the ending. I stared blankly at my computer screen as I watched Princess Massacre all over again for about the hundredth time, god my life was over run by Code Geass. As Euphimia ordered the slaughter of the Japanese people, I let each word that was coming step into my head. Each word flowed perfectly through my mind, not surprising seeing as I pride myself for memorizing the majority of lines to be said in the episode I am watching. I looked at my laptop clock: 12:39. Tomorrow is my birthday, May 3rd. (A/N FUN FACT: MAY 3RD IS WHEN THE FIRST EPISODE OF CODE GEASS AIRED (2008) OMFG AHHHHHH!!!! ALL HAIL MAY 3RD) I yawned and put my computer away and rested my short blonde hair (A/N: NOTICE SHORT BLONDE HAIR!) on my pillow and drift into a sleep.

I woke up a little while later to see myself in some kind of truck. I felt a crash and heard a familiar grunt-ish girly scream type noise. No. He can't be here. He is an anime character. I looked around the cylindrical container I was leaning on to see what I thought couldn't be true, Lelouch was standing there muttering to himself. Lelouch! I spun around and saw a stream of red wiz by my eyes. I put my hand on my shoulder to feel long hair. I looked down to see long red hair. It can't be, I'm Rinnest!? My Britannian student OC? I freaked out. I almost fell over when the car stopped, wait, I know where I am, Lelouch you better watch out, 'cause your destiny is coming for you like a freight train.
