Toothless P.O.V

I soared through the sky, weaving and ducking though the fluffy clouds as I watched over my fellow dragons, as any alpha dragon would. I flicked my tail to the right and made a sharp turn, truly grateful to my rider and best friend Hiccup for improving my tail so that I could finally fly on my own. Then I heard snarling and threatening roars, and I swung head to the left. There I saw a Monstrous Nightmare and Deadly Nadder at combat with each other, jaws snapping and claws slashing at each other's throats. I dived at them roaring in fury as my double spikes appearing glowing a magnificent blue, immediately the two separating averting their gaze and bowing down to me. I couldn't help the smirk as I silently thought, 'I could get used to this.'

"What are you two doing" I roared, "We must be a demonstration of the peace reigning over our lands."

"We're very sorry." The Nadder mumbled

Toothless sighed, "You are forgiven, just don't let it happen again"

A smile spread across the young dragons faces as they flittered around Toothless before flying off to their stables. Toothless watched them go, 'Another job well done,' He thought as he headed back to the Chieftain's home. He flew over Viking dwellings and dragon posts before he came across the intimidating statue of Stoick the Vast and landed in front of it. Feeling weak beneath its stony gaze.

Flashback

"Son!" Stoick called reaching desperately towards Hiccup.

"DAD! NOOO!" Cried out Hiccup before being pushed by his father.

Through hazy eyes I saw Stoick fall, Hiccup rushing to his father clearing away the ice fallen over him. 'Did I do this?' I wondered through a daze.

"Dad..." Hiccup's broken whisper reached my ears. Valka rushing towards Stoick and gingerly laying her head upon his heart. She raised her head and gazed at Hiccup with soft, sad eyes. "No..." Hiccup whispered.

Everything was a haze after that as I slowly approached Stoick. I nuzzled his hand, hoping for a response. Then all of a sudden something shoved me away, I looked up and saw the furious face of my best friend. "No! Get away from him! Go on! Get out of here! Get away!" Each sentence was a stab to my heart as I watched him.

Flashback ends

My heart felt heavy as I stared up at the face of Stoick. I don't know how I can ever make it up to him. But for now, all I can do is come by everyday, remembering and hoping to atone for the horrible sin I have committed. I slowly bowed to Stoick before raising, my eyes shining with determination as I went back to patrol my lands.
