And then pain took my smile away making me not the way they all thought.

I always wanted to be with you, but you didn't care enough

To see the person I've become for you. And now I just cough and cough

With blood that my wounds gave me long ago,

Wounds made of cuts that you never saw...

And now I just smile to cover the truth,

Holding the tears that are struggling to move,

Hoping you wouldn't see my falling crown,

Lying about my happiness - just to not let you down.

I'm falling, I'm drowning in the tears of my sadness,

Trying not to be driven into madness.

Maybe there are times to come

When I'll show you what I've become...
