"It was those red eyes that caught me.

Oh, those beautiful red eyes.

My mother insists I meet with Lord Hazashis' son for his offer in my hand in marriage, but I know I will refuse.

My heart has already been taken by another whom knows how to handle me, to give me warmth, to give me passion, to touch me. . .

Father would call me a woman with no respect, but I am indeed a woman who knows what she wants.

And that is my dearest husband, Sukuna.

We eloped only a fortnight, and my necklace was his proposal. The golden band he wears upon his finger with the engravings is a string that leads to me.

If I am to be hung for my love, then let it be so.

Let it be so for I can meet him again in another life and fall in love and be happy, maybe then we can be together.

But for now I pray that the Elders nor my clan find out of us, or they may expel the child I carry.

I will risk it all for our future if it means this child can have a good life with a father.

Until then, I bid my adue,

Year Chōhō 2. . ."

And with the last letter being read, she hesitated to toss it into the flames before her as it was her last connection to her mother.

"Go, Sakura-chan," He spoke up, "the Elders will lock you up again if they find out we knew where those were stashed."

She nodded and watched as the fire licked at the old paper before engulfing it in flames, hating how things had to be this way.

"But, they won't recognize this," He got down to her level on the floor, holding a rose gold looking necklace that was obviously preserved or else it would be destroyed over the years.

"Is this. . .?"

"The one he gave Kikuko Naya," He put it around her neck, long enough that he didn't even need to clip it.

"Your mother."

She didn't even want to touch it, thinking it might break in her hands and only admired it silently.

"Do you think. . .he really loved her?"

Gojo Satoru frowned a bit, having his own opinions on her father, but let his smile returned for the sake of the girl infront of him.

"You can't write something like that without any kind of love behind it," He stood up, offering a hand to the young half-breed who carefully took it.

"Now, let's prove those Elders wrong, eh?"
