"Gerda?"

"Yes, Ms. Arendelle?"

"Could you please let the next applicant in? And how many times do I have to ask you to call me Elsa? I hate it when people I've know for a long time call me that." I sighed.

"Of course...Elsa." I could tell Gerda was smiling, and so was I—though mine was hollow.

Gerda was my secretary. But technically she used to be my father's secretary. She decided to move out to New York with Anna and I, insisting that "we had to know at least one person in the "Big Apple".

Not moments later, the door opened, revealing an all too familiar person. She had short brown hair, green eyes, and fair skin with a dusting of light freckles. She wore a blush colored knee-length dress with nude heels and a purple handbag.

All I could do was stare at my nervous cousin.

"Els—I mean, Ms. Arendelle?"

I shoved all traces of shock out the door immediately, "Rapunzel." I nodded for her to take a seat in the chair in front of my glass desk. She sighed, seemingly relieved. "You can call me Elsa. I don't mind. I prefer it, actually."

"O-okay, Elsa."

She handed me her resume and I quickly scanned through it. I had to admit, I was impressed with my cousin. But I locked away anything that would give the impression away. "Tell me, why do you want this job?"

"Well, my career in fashion was an absolute fail, despite being able to work with Cinderella. I moved here four years ago and got a job as her assistant and personal designer. So I worked there up until last month. They fired me because they claimed my ideas were too simple and were starting to lack taste."

Lack taste? Rapunzel? That's the most absurd thing I'd ever heard.

"Do you have any designs with you?"

"I always do." She smiled.

"May I see some."

"I don't see why not." Out of her clutch, she grabbed a small sketch book and handed it to me. I began paging through the designs. They were beautiful. Not lacking taste at all! Yes they were a little bit simple...but that was the elegance in them.

"They're wonderful," I deadpanned.

She looked up, surprised, "Really?"

"Yes. You're hired, but on one condition." Rapunzel frowned unknowing of what I was about to tell her. "You will only be my assistant until I know you are capable of more responsibility."

"Like what?"

"I want you to be the head of the fashion department."

Her eyes grew wide. "A-are you serious?"

"Of course." I nodded. "You have considerable talent. We need someone like you, Punz. It's been a while since anyone here as shown emotion, and I think you are just the person to help." I paused before adding, "We are cousins, after all."

I stood up from my chair and walked over to her. She stood as well.

"Rapunzel Fitzherbert, welcome to Arendelle Industries. You start next Monday. Gerda will show you where your office is and what you need to do." I smiled and we shook hands.

"Thank you so much, Elsa!" She pulled me into a tight embrace, I stiffened, not being used to hugs, even from Anna.

When she let go I walked over to my phone and pushed the button for Gerda.

Her voice immediately came on. "Yes M—Elsa?"

"You can dismiss everyone in the lobby, I've found my assistant."

"Right away."

"Would you also send Kai to my office to escort Mrs. Fitzherbert to get her security passes."

"As you wish."

"Kai will be here in a minute to take you downstairs to get all your security passes and such." I turned back to Rapunzel, she was fidgeting nervously with the buckle on her handbag.

"Elsa, do you think maybe we could meet for lunch today? I want some time to talk with you about...everything."

I considered. If she's going to work here , I guess I'll have to get over the grudge I've been holding onto for five years. She's my cousin and I love her no matter what. I shouldn't have said the things I did.

I made a mental note to apologize during lunch.

"Sure. Meet me in the lobby at two."

"I'll be there."

Someone, who I presume was Kai, knocked on the door. "Come in" The door opened, in walking Kai. "Kai, this is Rapunzel Fitzherbert, my new assistant. Would you please take her to get security passes?"

He nodded, "Will that be all?"

"Oh, and cancel my lunch meeting with Weaselton."

Rapunzel looked surprised, "Elsa, you don't have to—"

"I've been looking for an excuse to get out of that meeting for three weeks." I chuckled, "It's completely fine."

"It's true," Kai whispered not so secretly to Rapunzel, she giggled. "Very well. Mrs. Fitzherbert, right this way," Kai lead Rapunzel out of the room.

Sighing loudly, I grabbed my laptop and a few folders, setting them in my black leather briefcase. Time for my meeting with the Westerguard representative...dandy.
