Avery's pov

We got off the train and Ron and i followed Harry "Hello 'arry!" someone said we looked and saw a huge man and realized at it was Hagrid ""Hey Hagrid!" I said along with Harry as Ron looked up amazed "woah" i heard him saw as i smirked "Alright, FIRS' YEARS FOLLOW ME." he said as we made our way to the lake the three of us sat down as people held up lanterns i looked at the huge building "so this is the famous Hogwarts cant wait t see it from the inside" i muttered. Slowly, the boat made it's way towards the castle. We all got in and a professor stood at the top of the stairs.

"Good evening and welcome to Hogwarts,In a moment you will enter through these doors and sorted into your houses. There are Gryffindor, Hufflepuff, Ravenclaw, and Slytherin" i smirked i want to be in slytherin but looks like i have to see first "Here your houses are like your family,We will award points, and at the end of the year, the house with the most points will win the house cup. Any rule breaking, you will lose points-" she was cut off by a boy.

"Trevor!" he yelled as he got his toad, some people laughed. He looked up at the professor, the professor looked down at him, slightly shocked that she got cut off so this is the boy named Neville who lost his toad poor boy "We'll be ready for you in a few moments." she left us all at the staircase waiting.

"So it's true then." someone said, we all turned to the voice It was a boy with blonde hair that i saw a couple of days ago with his father i assume well now i get the chance to meet him without worrying

"Harry Potter has come to Hogwarts.." he said People whispered okay its pretty shocking but why must everyone always whisper about it "This is Crabbe, and Goyle." he said pointing to each one with his head wow those guys look like a bunch of idiots

"And I'm Malfoy. Draco Malfoy" he sneered as Ron snickered I bet you anything that Malfoy will be in Slytherin,Malfoy turned his gaze to Ron and me i blushed a bit hes kinda cute

"Think my name is funny do you? Don't need to guess yours? Let's see here, red hair, hand-me-down robes, you must be a Weasley." he spat What a total git then He turned back to Harry

"You know, they say some wizarding families are better than others,You don't want to go around making friends with the wrong sort," he said holding out his hand what will Harry say?

"I can help you there." he smirked "think I can tell the wrong sort for myself thanks." Harry rejected him And bloody hell Malfoy's his face looked priceless,the same professor came back and tapped Malfoy's shoulder with a roll of parchment and Malfoy went back to standing with his gang i turned and looked at him with his group as he smirked at me i immediately turn my attention to the talking professor.

"We're ready for you" was all she said as we followed her into the great hall There sitting on a stool was a patched hat "wow this place is even more fascinating on the inside" i muttered as i saw loads of students looking at us

"Before we start,Professor Dumbledore would like to say a few words" she said.

"Welcome to Hogwarts. I must remind you that the Dark Forest is forbidden to all students. And our caretaker Mr. Filch has reminded me to inform you that the room in the third corridor is strictly off limits to anyone who doesn't wish to die a slow painful death." he finished and sat back down "Now, when I call your name, You will come up and put on the hat and be placed into your house" she said as she opened the parchment and picked up the hat i was starting to get a bit nervous "Hermione Granger" she said I looked at Hermione and she looked nervous i gave her a thumbs up as she walked up and sat down, the professor placed the hat on her head

"Mental that one" I heard Ron say to Harry, and i smacked Ron on the back of his head as we continued to listen she looked at me worried and then the hat yelled "GRYFFINDOR!" it yelled the hat was taken off and Hermione ran down to join the Gryffindor table as they cheered i smiled knowing that she wanted to be at that house,A couple of students were called then they called the blonde kid "Draco Malfoy" he went up and sat down "SLYTHERIN!" it yelled he went to sit with Slytherin table as they cheered i knew that he would be a slytherin.

"It never touched his head" Ron said as he was called up next now he clearly was more nervous than i was

"Ronald Weasley." Ron looked nervous and hesitantly walked up and sat down "Ahh! Another Weasley ehh? I know exactly what to do with you..GRYFFINDOR!" it yelled, Ron got up and ran down to Gryffindor table as they cheered for him they are all in Gryffindor now i want to be with them now i dont want to be alone in another house.

"Avery Helling" i gulped and casually walked up and sat down" Well Well what do we have here i havent seen a Helling in ages you are just like your father Ambitious,Arrogant,Selfish not to mention Stubborn as well" i loked arpund at the Gryffindor table as the guys gave me a thumbs up Gryffindor "but you are also Brave and Smart i can wither place you in Gryffindor or Ravenclaw" next i saw the Slytherins i could see Malfoy with his smirk "Better be SLYTHERIN!!!" The hat yelled as the Slytherin table burst into cheers as I went down and sat beside a bunch of kids "looks like your stuck with us slytherins" Malfoy said as he held his hand for me to take i took it "looks like it malfoy"

"malfoy? no no you dont get it any enemy from me can call me malfoy,you can call me Draco everyone calls me that who are Slytherins or my friends" i nodded "okay Draco" he nodded "ive heard from your parents there quiet rich along with my family" he just said as harry was called up next.

"Harry Potter"

the professor said The hall grew silent, Professor Dumbledore sat up.,The hat was placed on his head and they were saying things to each other but I couldn't hear "GRYFFINDOR!" it yelled. This time. Gryffindor table erupted into tremendous cheers as harry sat down at his table he looked over at me as i gave him a warm smile. everyone was sorted,The lady professor tapped her goblet with a silver spoon.

"Your attention please." she said and smiled a small smile,Professor Dumbledore stood up

"Let the feast. Begin." all 4 tables were erupted with food i looked up and saw everyone eating as i also ate Draco and i made some small conversations "Draco whos that?" i asked as he looked at me as i pointed him to the main table

"Oh, that's Professor Snape" Draco answered "does he teach potions?" "yes yes he does" i nodded "so what blood type are you?" he asked next "im a pure blood and i have to say that im proud of it" he smiled "great now we can officially be friends now since were both purebloods and have a rich family" i smiled yes even though i really dont have a family left since they abandoned me

"Boy's dormitories upstairs on the right, girls same on the left" we all went upstairs. I shared dormitories with some girls i dont know but they look like nerds so it wont be a problem with me besides i didnt exactly come to hogwarts to make friends i just came to find a certain spell ive heard of.
