【𝐒𝐄𝐀𝐒𝐎𝐍 𝟑 𝐄𝐏𝐈𝐒𝐎𝐃𝐄 𝟑】

Miguel was awake.

That's the text Julianna woke up to in the morning. She felt her heart practically leap out of her chest. One of her best friends just woke up from a coma. She went from being tired after only getting a few hours of sleep to absolutely ecstatic. She got ready as quickly as she could, and ran to the hospital, luckily, she lived close enough and she didn't want to have to wait for Lexi to pick her.

When she got to Miguel's room, she lightly knocked on the door, making Miguel turn to face her. His smile grew big as he stared at her. "Jules! I was wondering when you'd visit." Miguel cheered, making Julianna feel a lot better. "I was worried you wouldn't want to see me..."

Miguel stared at her with furrowed brows. "Why wouldn't I want to see you? You're my best friend." Julianna's smile grew huge as Miguel opened his arms. "Now. Give Miguel some love." Julianna chuckled, walking up to Miguel and pulling him into a hug.

"How have you been?" Miguel asked and Julianna pulled up a chair to sit beside him, facing the door. "I've been hanging in there. It's only been a few days back at school and Anthony's already being an ass."

Miguel raised his eyes brows as he started to smile. "Hey, if I remember correctly, you beat his ass. And even though I was in the middle of my own fight. I think that that was pretty cool."

Julianna chuckled, bringing a hand up to her face to cover her yawn. Miguel furrowed his eyebrows. "You tired?" Julianna's eyes started to droop as she slowly nodded. "I spent most of the night trying to wrap my head around some stuff."

"Well, how about you get some rest, and when you wake up, I'll help you out with whatever's been keeping you up?" Miguel suggested and Julianna shook her head. "No. No. I came here to see you. I'm not gonna spend my time here sleeping."

Miguel leaned his head back into his bed as he let out an annoyed groan. "Just like a hour. A power nap. The nurse brought me food just before you showed up so I can eat while you get some rest. Plus, I don't need you judging how loud I chew. I'd rather have you asleep." Julianna laughed again as she curled herself into a little ball on her hospital chair, drifting off to sleep.

"El Surpiente!"

Julianna jumped awake at the loud voice and saw Sam standing on the other side of Miguel's bed and Hawk at the door. Julianna lightly whacked Miguel. "Why didn't you wake me up?"

"You were sleeping." "So? You said one hour. It's been... three hours!" Julianna whisper yelled back, even though Hawk and Sam could hear them. Sam cleared her throat, making Julianna and Miguel stop their bickering and turn to her. "I'm gonna go. I'll see you later?" Sam asked her last portion of her words to Julianna and she nodded her head, knowing Sam was talking about the car wash fundraiser.

As Julianna packed up her stuff, she heard Hawk stop Sam. "You got some nerve coming here after what your boyfriend did to him." Julianna slumped. Sams boyfriend was Julianna's brother. "I don't care what you think. I just wanna help." Sam snapped as Julianna threw her backpack over her shoulder and turning to Miguel. "I'm gonna head home. I'll visit tomorrow." Miguel nodded and Julianna gave him one last smile before turning to the door.

"Pretty sure you've done enough, Princess." Hawk muttered to Sam, turning to walk into the room just as Julianna was walking out. Hawk quickly grabbed Julianna's arms. "You don't have to go. You can stay."

Julianna gave Hawk a sad smile and shook her head. "I probably should since my brother did this, right?" Hawks face dropped, looking down at the ground before looking back at her. "I didn't mean it like tha-" "I know. But really. I need to get going anyway. I'll see you later." She gave Hawk one last tight lipped smile, grabbing his arm and giving it a little squeeze before walking out of the hospital.

"Metri! Stop throwing the bottle! You're gonna break it" Lexi giggled out as her, Demetri and Julianna washed a car. "But Lexi, baby, wait. Look how cool this is..." Demetri said, pointing a finger at Lexi before flipping the bottle behind his back and catching it. Lexi smiled and sarcastically clapped. "Oh, bravo." Demetri raised his brows and handed her the bottle. "I'd like to see you try then."

Lexi took the bottle out of Demetri's hand and threw it behind her back. When she went to catch it, she completely missed it, making the bottle fall on the ground and spill everywhere. Julianna and Demetri instantly started laughing and when they noticed Lexi's face getting red in embarrassment, Demetri walked up to her, wrapping her in his arms and resting his head on hers. "Oh... Don't worry, baby. You tried."

Julianna laughed at Lexi's pout, continuing to wash the car when she felt someone come up to her. "Okay, Jules, you're doing great but you need to wax on, wax off." Sam instructed Julianna, showing her the moves. Julianna chuckled, making Sam turn to her. "This is how you guys practiced karate?" Sam smiled and rose her hands in surrender. "Hey, we did pretty good in that fight. I'd say, our tactics work pretty well." Julianna laughed as she finished cleaning the car.

She looked around for a car to wash when she heard the sound of motorcycles rolling up to the lot. Julianna's eyes met with Hawks and she felt as if time had stopped just from looking at him. Like they never broke up. Julianna felt a wave up happiness hit her as she stared into his eyes. Just as quickly as the feeling ignited in her, it washed away at the sound of a car honking beside her.

Julianna jumped in surprise, not expecting the loud horn in her ear and turned to face the driver, rolling her eyes when she saw Anthony.

"I think my car a little dirty, babygirl. Care to help me wash it?" Anthony asked with a smirk, smacking his hand on the outside of the drivers side door from his hand sticking out the window. Just as Juliana was about to give him a snarky remark, a gentle hand grabbed her shoulder and she turned around to see Chris beside her.

"She won't need to. I can wash your car." Before anyone could react, Chris splashed his bucket of water onto Anthony's car, making sure to get at least half the bucket on Anthony in the process and crawling on top of his car, washing the windshield. "You want the full wash and wax or just the wash?"

Julianna immediately threw a hand to her mouth, laughing hysterically at Anthony's shocked face, not realizing a certain mohawk wearing boy watching her with a small smile on his face.

Julianna felt someone stand next her and once she heard their laughs, she knew it was Lexi, watching the scene in front of them with amusement.

Suddenly, Lexi's laughs stop as she lets out a little cough. "Eyes on you. 5 o'clock." Julianna scrunched her face up at Lexi's words before reaching her hand up to scratch the back of her neck and subtlety turn to look off in the direction Lexi gave her to see Hawk still watching her.

She sent him an awkward smile and waved at him. Hawk shook his head as if he was getting out of a daydream, he turned to Mitch, whispering something before they started biking away. "Did you just scare him away?" Lexi asked, laughing and Julianna turned to her with furrowed brows. "All I did was wave..."

Lexi watched Julianna closely. "You still like him..." Julianna scoffed, walking to the next car. "Of course I still like him, Lex. I have since I was 10. That doesn't just go away." "But he's an ass." Lexi said, walking after her and helping Julianna was the windshield of a car. "Yeah. But not all the time. The old him is still in there. I know it. We just need to find a way to let the good show."

this was kinda a short chapter but Jules knows theres some good in Hawk🥺
