SEASON 6 EPISODE 2

"Not all of us have to learn how to walk twice in one lifetime. But we do all have to learn how to pick ourselves back up when we're down and stand firmly on our own two feet. In the end, I learned that first steps are harder the second time around. I hope my nedxt step brings me to Stanford University."

Jules smiled as she sat beside Miguel as he read his college essay for Stanford to her, her dad, Robby, Carmen, and Yaya. As soon as Miguel finished, Carmen let out a squeal in excitement, rubbing Miguel's shoulders from behind him excitedly. "I'm so proud. I'm gonna cry!"

While Yaya told Miguel how much she loved it, Jules turned to look at her dad, who sat next to her. As soon as they made eye contact, they nodded to each other, both of them having the same note. At the same time, they turned to Miguel. "Go more for the jugular at the end. They'll be begging you to go there."

"You need tear-jerkers." Jules insisted and Miguel chuckled at the two, nodding his head. Miguel turned to Robby, who sat on the other side of him and raised his eyebrows expectantly. "What about you? What do you think?"

Robby stared back and forth between Miguel and his laptop before he smiled, nodding his head. "It's great." He said while he laughed. "Even though I'm kind of the bad guy in it."

Miguel's eyes widened and he immediately started shaking his head crazily, not wanting Robby to feel bad for something the two had already worked through. "I'll change your name. I—" "No, dude. I'm kidding. It's not like I'm applying to Stanford." Robby reassured. Jules watched as her brothers face dropped, his expression now glum. "Or anywhere, really."

"Come on, Robby. You have great futures ahead of you, all three of you." Johnny said, looking to all three of the kids he was sitting with. Jules nodded in agreement, reaching over the table and grabbing Robby's hand, giving it a squeeze. "There's no harm in applying. Even if you're worried."

At her words, Johnny realized he hadn't gotten an update from Jules about how her applications were going. He turned all of his attention to his daughter, leaning closer to her to knock her shoulder with his. "Speaking of that... How are your college essays going, missy?"

A big smirk took of Julianna's face as she leaned back in her chair cockily. "Boston University isn't gonna know what hit them!" She cheered proudly.

Jules could feel Yaya grab her shoulders in excitement but she didn't get the same vibe from her dad.

Johnny watched Jules with a nervous look. The idea of her going so far away wasn't something he wanted to think about. So to have her top school be Boston University was his absolute nightmare in his eyes.

He wanted her to not be too close to home, to get that independence but this was too far in his eyes. "How about Santa Barbara? You're still looking into that, right?" He asked. Jules smiled, nodding her head. "Already turned in my application for early decision. Along with San Diego, Santa Cruz, and UCLA."

Johnny smiled, feeling a little bit better about the idea of his daughter going away to college. "Okay, good. I can't have you going too far." He said and Jules whipped her head to face her dad, a huge smile on her face.

"Aww! You're gonna miss me." Jules cheered, pulling her dad into a hug, smooshing their faces together. Johnny rolled his eyes, holding back a smile but still hugging back. "No. I'm worried about who's gonna take out the trash every night." He said and Jules scoffed, pulling away from the hug even though she knew he was joking.

"I'm so proud!" Yaya yelled, leaning over Miguel from behind to hug him. Johnny watched as water started to fall into Miguel's computer and his eyes widened. "Hey, hey, easy with the waterworks." Johnny said, gently trying to pull Yaya away from Miguel.

Once she was off of him, Jules noticed water was still dripping onto the laptop. "What the...." She whispered. Her eyes trailed up and widened at the leak in the ceiling,

Suddenly, the ceiling gave out and water started to pour into the Diaz home. Jules was quick to grab Miguel's laptop and jump back so his essay didn't get ruined.

"Oh my God!" Miguel yelled as the whole dining room started to get covered in the liquid coming from the ceiling and the room started to reek. He turned to Robby beside him and started pushing the boy towards the kitchen. "Rob, the bowls!"

"It's the sewage pipes!" Johnny screamed, answering Julianna's question about the smell. Miguel and Robby came back with bowl, them and Johnny trying to catch as much water as they could.

"Smells like shit!" Miguel yelled and Julianna, who was hiding back by the couch with Carmen and Yaya, scoffed. "Yeah, no shit!"

...

The next day was West Valleys college fair. Jules was actually pretty excited to go. Even though she had her heart set on Boston, she was excited to see what else was out there, maybe she'd even find another school to fall in love with.

Jules walked around the room with Eli to look for colleges with her while Demetri and Lexi went on their own walk around for Lexi since both boys had their hearts set on MIT. Every now and then, Jules noticed Hawks eyes widen as they passed a booth and even if she didn't want to go their, Jules took their pamphlets just incase Eli wanted them later.

Demetri had been pretty persistent on talking about MIT and how him and Eli would go there any chance he got. Jules noticed the more Demetri talked about it, the less excited Eli looked. She wanted to bring it up, but she never had the right time, so she had to wait.

So instead of talking about MIT, Jules filled Hawk in on what happened the day prior at Miguel's house and how alll of them are now crammed in her apartment.

"You're sharing a room with Miguel's grandma?" Hawk laughed as they looked over the CSUN table. It wasn't somewhere she could see herself going but it was close to home so she grabbed a pamphlet. "It was either that or sharing the couch with Robby and Miguel." Jules shook her head, a giggle coming out after her words. "I can't have that."

As they started to walk away from the table, Eli grabbed her hand and leaned a little closer to her. "You can always stay with me."

Jules turned to face Hawk, the boy having a big smile on his face. She turned back forward and chuckled. "Oh, yeah. My dad will love that." She muttered sarcastically. Hawk sped up his step to get in front of her and stopped walking. Considering how wide his smile was, Jules started to realize he was serious. "At least a couple nights. You could say you're sleeping over at Lexi's?"

She pursed her lips as if she were thinking while their hands swung in between them. Jules looked back up to Eli and smiled. "I'll take you up on that offer." She said, leaning forward and kissing Hawk's lips.

As they pulled away, Demetri and Lexi came towards them. "How was college hunting?" Demetri asked as Lexi handed Jules a Boston University pamphlet. Jules gasped, grabbing the paper. "Oh my God, I didn't see their table yet. Thank you." Jules muttered as she skimmed through the booklet.

Hawk laughed at his girlfriend's eagerness for the school, leaning over her shoulder to read a bit about the school. He turned to Demetri and Lexi while he pointed to the ten pamphlets in his girlfriend's hands with his thumb. "She found a few eye catchers. You?"

Lexi raised her hand, showing off five pamphlets, all of them for East Coast schools. "I'm a very picky girl." Lexi said happily before she dropped the pamphlets by her side and smirked at Jules. "But no one's taking me away from Boston and Jules." She sang and Jules smiled widely, using her free hand to grab Lexi and pull the girl into her side for a hug.

"Hey!"

Jules looked up and smiled at Miguel and Sam walking over. "Hey! How's college shopping?" Jules asked, making Miguel and Sam raise their pamphlets, Miguel only having a Stanford and Sam having a handful like Jules and Lexi.

"What about you guys?" Miguel asked, looking down and only noticing Jules and Lexi having pamphlets.

"All of our trials and tribulations of nerdom have come to this. We're the Belles of the ball." Demetri happy said, loving the fact that everyone wanted their attention to go to their school.

Miguel chuckled, watching Demetri with an amused look as he examined all of the tables around him. "Is that what we are?" He asked and Demetri spun back around to face Miguel, nodding his head eagerly. "Oh, yes, my friend. They are fumbling around our dresses trying to cop a feel of our tantalizing brains."

The group cringed at Demetri's choice of words. Julianna's face scrunched as she looked around the room. "Thank you for that lovely image, Demetri." She muttered as Sam let out a grossed out laugh. "Yeah... That's where I leave you. Good luck." She turned to Miguel and gave him a kiss. Sam pulled away, waved to Jules and Lexi, and then walked away.

"These vultures are wasting their time though. Eli and I have had our sights set on MIT for years." Demetri scoffed and immediately, Miguel turned to Jules with a smirk. "And Boston because..." He asked. Jules threw her hands up in defense. "Hey, Lexi and I have been staring at Boston longer than the two of them have been thinking about MIT." Jules shrugged out, Lexi and Eli nodding in agreement to defend the girl.

Demetri turned to Jules with a straight face. He tilted his head and raised his eyebrows accusingly. "And... would you like to tell the jury why you liked Boston?" Demetri sassed and Jules rolled her eyes. She crossed her arms over her chest and huffed.

"I thought I would be the ruler of it because my dad always said I was the queen of Bossy Town and I got the places mixed up." She muttered in embarrassment. The group all laughed at her words, Demetri, Lexi, and Eli hearing it before.

Eli wrapped his arm around Jules's shoulder, letting out a small "aww" when he realized she was embarrassed at everyone laughing.

"You thought that was a compliment?" Miguel asked and Jules frowned to hide her smile peaking through. "My dad is Johnny Lawrence. I took what I could get."

"Are you applying early decision to Stanford?" Eli asked Miguel, wanting to take the subject off of Jules for her sake. Miguel sighed, nodding his head. "Yeah, definitely. But I should look into some safety schools too. Stanford's pretty expensive." He said, walking towards the four and opening his Stanford pamphlet so they could see the price.

Jules felt a sudden wave of guilt and frowned. Her and Miguel are coming from the same family now. If Miguel was looking into cheaper schools, she should too, right?

"Hey, fam." A voice at the table closest to them spoke. All five of them turned their heads to the College of the Valley table. With everyone occupied with the man at the table, Jules turned to Eli, her eyebrows furrowed and a small frown on her face. "I should do that too probably... right?"

Eli could hear the sadness in her voice and gave her a reassuring smile. "There's no harm in checking it out." Eli said before he pulled her in a little closer and kissed her temple. "But that doesn't mean give up on Boston. Who knows? Maybe you'll get a scholarship."

Jules smiled at Eli's words, already feeling a little bit better. If she did get a scholarship, it would help her family out a lot. She looked back to the College of the Valley sponsor as he smiled at all five of them. "You kids looking to post up at a college a little closer to home, or what's the word?"

Demetri looked around the group before turning back to the man, whose name tag said Gary. "Well, Gary, the word is we'll be taking out brodeo on the rodeo. But, um, thank you for all your bro-vertures." Demetri said and Lexi rolled her eyes.

She turned to look up at her boyfriend and covered his mouth so he would stop talking. "Enough, bro." Lexi warned and Demetri, staring at his girlfriend with wide eyes, nodding his head.

"Safety schools get a bad rap." Gary said before her turned his attention to Miguel and Jules, overhearing their issues with prices of other schools. "They keep you closer to home, set you up for a big school later and they take that weight off Mom and Pop's wallet."

He held out two pamphlets for the kids. Miguel slowly grabbed one of them while Jules huffed. "Gimme that." She muttered, snatching the other out of Gary's hand.

Gary turned to look at Demetri, Eli and Lexi, silently asking them if they would like one too. Immediately, Demetri and Eli shook their heads. When he turned to look at Lexi, she let out a loud laugh, shaking her head crazily. "I don't think I can go another four years going to the same school as my brother. My mom already has him close to home, I can get as far away as I please."

...

Miguel and Jules decided to sign up for a tour to check out College of the Valley. When Jules told Eli and Lexi about it, the two decided to tag along aswell; Eli saying he wanted to be there to check out a school that interested her and Lexi saying she could visit Joey. Lexi dragged Demetri along too, packing the car up.

The school was pretty boring in Jules's opinion. They were barely halfway through the tour and Jules knew she didn't want to go here. Jules was completely tuning out her tour guide, his words going in one ear and out the other. It wasn't until the boy got body slammed into the ground that she was finally pulled out of her head.

Her eyes widened when she saw the boy that knocked her tour guide down was Brucks. He grabbed the frisbee off the ground and turned to his left. "Got it!" He cheered, waving the frisbee around proudly. Jules turned to see who Brucks was talking to and rolled her eyes when she saw Kyler running towards him. "Sick grab, boy!"

"Oh my God..." Jules whispered as the two boys dapped each other up and turned to Julianna's tour guide. "You just got Brucksed!" Kyler yelled at the boy. Slowly, Julianna's tour group started to disperse until the only people left were her and her group.

Kyler looked up to see who was standing with him and Brucks and he smiled at the five. "Oh. What's up, guys?" He said, his eyes mainly on the boys instead of Jules and Lexi.

"Kyler, you go to school here?" Miguel asked and Kyler laughed, hitting Brucks on the chest. "Nah, it's more like this school goes to me. You know what I mean?" Kyler and Brucks laughed while the other watched them with confused looks. "No... we don't know what you mean?" Lexi muttered.

Kyler turned to the girl, his eyes widening as he smiled and pointed at her. "Hey! Little Gomez!" Kyler cheered. He walked up to Lexi and dapped her up. Lexi looked around her group for any help, but all of them were all just as confused.

"J-Dog and I are pledging at the same frat!" Kyler said and Lexi's face paled.

Demetri looked between Lexi and Kyler with a confused look before he settled his eyes on Kyler. "I'm sorry. J-Dog?" He asked and Lexi shut her eyes in disappointment.

"Joey. He's talking about Joey." Lexi explained. Jules and Eli covered their mouths to hide their laughs as Lexi sighed, looking up at Kyler with a squint. "I'm guessing that means you're the Ky he always talks about?"

Kyler immediately smiled and nodded his head. "Hell yeah! We're roommates and everything. That guys like my brother now." Kyler said before he nudged Lexi with his elbow, a smirk on his face. "Guess that makes us siblings, huh?"

"Oh, God. Kill me now." Lexi muttered as Hawk's eyes moved to Brucks. He reached for his girlfriend's hand and gave it a tight squeeze. "What's up, Brucks? You... you look good, man."

Jules squeezed Eli's hand back just as hard. She remembered spying on Cobra Kai the day Hawk beat up Brucks. She turned to Eli to check on him as Brucks smiled. "Thanks, man. All new teeth." He said, showing off his teeth. "Swallowed the old ones when you... you know..."

Hawk gulped, struggling to meet his eyes. He squeezed Julianna's hand tighter and struggled to find his words. "Yeah, I'm really sorry about that, dude. I... I was in a bad place then, and—" "It's all good, buddy!" Brucks interrupted, not a hint of anger in his voice. "Play karate games, win karate prizes, you know? It helped me get my life on track. Ad meliora. Towards better things."

Hawk was frozen, shocked that Brucks wasn't upset with him after everything he did. Realizing he didn't respond, he nodded his head. "Sick."

Brucks smiled, turning to walk away. "See you at the house, Ky?" He asked and Kyler nodded his head. "Bet." As Brucks walked away, Kyler turned to the five. Demetri watched Brucks leave before he turned to Kyler. "Wait, so you and Brucks both go here. That makes sense."

Kyler's face scrunched and he quickly shook his head. "No, he's just visiting. He goes to MIT."

One by one, everyone's jaws dropped, not caring to hide their shock. Eli, keeping his eyes on Kyler, raised his hand and closed his girlfriend's mouth, his own mouth opening and closing, speechless.

Demetri looked around the group for answers before he turned back to Kyler, thinking he could've just misheard him. "I'm sorry. Did you say MIT?"

"Yeah, and he's killing it too." Kyler said as if it was the most causal thing ever. He suddenly smirked, grabbing Demetri's shoulder and pulling him into him. "So what's up, guys? We hanging out or what? The frat's having a party. You all can come and party."

Jules looked around at her group, everyone besides Demetri looking excited. Jules turned back to Kyler and smiled. "Going to a college party before college was on my bucket list." Jules said, shrugging her shoulders coolly even though she was very excited.

"You don't have a bucket list." Eli said, looking at his girlfriend with a confused look but all Jules did was raise her hand in front of the boys face, silently telling him to stop as she smiled at Kyler. "We're in."

...

Considering the group chose a late tour time and the walked to the frat was long, by the time they made it to the party, it was in full swing.

Jules, Lexi, and Kyler walked in with ease. Just before Eli, Miguel, and Demetri follow, the frat boy standing at the door held his hand out and blocked the doorway. "Gotta pay, man." The frat boy said to Miguel, who stood in front of the trio.

Miguel looked into the home where Jules and Lexi stood waiting for them. "But you didn't make our friends pay." Miguel said and without looking away from the boys, the frat boy shrugged. "Chicks get in for free." He stuck his hand out. "Five bucks each."

The three boys groaned and grumbled, digging into their pockets for their wallets.

"Hey-yo!"

They all turned their heads as Joey ran towards his frat brother at the door. He was a little breathless and already smelled like beer as he wrapped a lazy arm around the boys shoulders. "They're with me, Miles." He leaned a little closer to the boy and looked around the room. "Just... don't tell Zenker, alright?"

The frat boy, Miles, looked between Joey and the group before he sighed. "Go in."

Joey smirked, turning to Miguel, Eli, and Demetri. "Well, you heard the man. Come in!"

As the boys walked in, Jules grabbed Eli's hands so she wouldn't lose him in the crowd. Right in the center of the room was Brucks chugging a beer while the whole room cheered for him.

"I can't believe Brucks got into MIT. And was he speaking Latin earlier?" Hawk asked and Demetri sighed. "I don't know. Maybe your fists unlocked his dormant brain." He said sarcastically and Jules chuckled, hitting Eli's arm softly to get his attention.

"Literally knocked sense into him." She said and Eli turned to Jules, giving her a "really?" look that made her quickly clear her throat and look back to Brucks who was starting a new cup to chug. "Sorry." She muttered as Joey started to walk away and towards the keg against the wall to get everyone some drinks.

Lexi followed after her brother, grabbing Julianna's hand and pulling her with.

"So you completely failed to mention your roommate at this frat is Kyler?" Lexi said, leaning against the wall to face her brother as he started to fill cups.

Joey rolled his eyes as he finished filling a cup, handing it to Lexi. "I knew you'd freak out. Plus, it's not like I chose to be his roommate." He finished filling a second cup and handed it to Jules.

Before Jules or Lexi could speak, a body joined the three at the keg. Julianna turned her head and saw a boy definitely in the older side of college students smirking at her. "Hey. How about you and I head up to a bedroom? Trust me, it'll be the time of your life." The boy asked, drunkly leaning towards Jules.

Jules was quick to cover the top of her cup with her hand and glare at the boy. "I'm seventeen and could break your trachea. If I was you, I would back away so you still have a life." She spat.

In seconds, the boys smile dropped and he paled. Without saying a word, he walked away from Jules and Kyler took his place beside her, laughing hysterically from watching the whole thing. He placed his hand on her shoulder to hold himself up as he continued to laugh. "That was sick, Jenna!"

Jules side eyed Kyler at the fact that he still couldn't remember her name as he moved to wrap his arm around her. Julianna was tempted to shake his arm off but where his body was facing, Jules was worried he would fall and accidentally take her down with him.

"Gonna be honest, Jenna. I was a little scared of you after you beat the shit out of Lewis but it was so badass!" Kyler yelled, almost as if he was fan-girling. Jules let out a little chuckle, taking a sip of the beer in her hands as Kyler kept going.

"Been telling that kid he was gonna get his ass handed to him by you for months."

Jules whipped her head around to face Kyler, her eyebrows furrowed. "Wait, what?" Kyler didn't notice the shock in Julianna's voice and shrugged as if it was nothing. "Yeah, me and a couple of the Cobra Kai bros kept telling him that his obsession with you was freaky as shit but he wouldn't back down."

He turned to Jules, tipping his solo cup and head down to her. "Son of a bitch got what was coming to him though." Kyler said, taking a sip of his drink. Jules slowly turned to look away from Kyler and to Lexi and Joey. Lexi looked just as surprised as Jules.

Jules just laughed, not knowing what else to do as she took another sip of her beer. "Uh... Thanks."

"Hey, Shitbreath! Doucheface!"

Joey and Kyler tensed at the voice coming from behind them and the girls. Kyler practically jumped away from Jules as Joey's jaw clenched. The four turned their heads just as a frat boy came over, his eyes on Kyler.

He took the solo cup out of the boys hands. "Did I tell you you could drink my beer, bitch boy?" The man asked and Kyler immediately shook his head as the guy took a sip of Kyler's beer. "N-No, sir, Mr. Zenker."

Jules looked at Kyler with wide eyes, shocked he was letting someone talk to him like that and even more surprised at how he responded.

The frat boy spat Kyler's drink out, almost spitting on Kyler and Jules but the two jumped away from the line of fire. Zenker looked back up to Kyler and pushed the cup into his chest. "That shit is stale. You two go make me some jungle juice."

Kyler nodded quickly, not looking anyone in the eyes. "Yes, sir, Mr. Zenker."

Jules and Lexi watched Kyler scramble away. Zenker then turned to Joey, raising his eyebrows. "You gonna follow your boyfriend or what?" He asked, taking a step closer to Joey.

Lexi immediately took a step forward, blocking Zenker from getting to Joey. The boy was definitely over a foot taller than Lexi but she didn't care, this guy was fucking with her brother.

"Hey!" She snapped. Joey's eyes doubled in size as he grabbed her shoulder and pull her back. He looked down at his sister and had a desperate look in his eyes. "Don't, Lex." He whispered before he turned back to Zenker and nodded. "Yes, Mr. Zenker."

As Joey walked to another room, Jules, Lexi, and Miguel, who watched everything go down a couple feet away, all followed after.

The three found Joey and Kyler mixing a huge barrel of different drinks. Jules looked back at Zenker before she turned back to Joey, shaking her head. "Joey, you're really gonna let him talk to you like that?"

Lexi looked up at her brother as if he were crazy, nodding in agreement with Jules. "Yeah, you would've started a fight with a kid if they talked to you like that... two months ago!" Lexi then turned to Kyler, even more confused that neither of them did anything. "Both of you!"

Joey shook his head, looking up from the big barrel of alcohol and to Lexi. "That's just how they talk around here to the new members. Like hazing and shit." He said and Julianna's eyes widened, looking back and forth between Kyler and Joey. "Isn't hazing what gets frats banned?"

"You're literally your frats Penis Breath! You real want to put yourself through this?" Lexi yelled at her brother and Joey scoffed.

"It's a really good leg up after college, Lex." Joey said and Kyler, nodding, hit Joey's chest and looked up to Jules, Lexi, and Miguel. "Plus, once we get done pledging, We're gonna run this shit."

Kyler suddenly smiled. "Yo, hold up!" He yelled, turning around and grabbing three solo cups from the table behind him. He turned back to the "trash juice" and started to fill the three cups, handing one to each other younger teens once they were filled. "Taste this, dudes."

Jules looked down at the drink and frowned. "Trash juice." Miguel muttered with a chuckled, bringing the cup to his lips. Just as Jules and Lexi were about to do the same, Joey stuck his hands out and blocked the girls from drinking.

"Don't." He mouthed just as Miguel sip out the drink. Kyler practically cackled, smacking Miguel's back. Jules and Lexi both poured their cups back into the barrel and seconds later, Kyler turned back around to face them.

Jules and Lexi quickly smiled innocently at Kyler. "We're gonna go find Hawk and Demetri." Jules said and Kyler nodded as the girls started to walk away.

When Jules and Lexi walked into the main room, everyone was chanting "Spikes!" Jules looked to Lexi with a confused expression as Lexi's jaw dropped and she slowly started to laugh. "Oh my God."

Jules turned to see what Lexi was looking at and she instantly brought her hand to her mouth and laughed at Hawk standing at the center of the room, chugging a beer with two solo cups dangling off of the spikes of his mohawk.

The crowd cheered and he finished his third cup. He place the cup on his front spike and cheered with the crowd around. When he saw Jules standing a couple feet away from him, a drunk smile took over his face. He walked towards Jules and Lexi, his eyes on his girlfriend.

He smiled drunkly at the girl, stumbling in his step and he started to fall, Jules reached out to catch him just as his hands caught her waist. Jules laughed at Hawk, helping him stand up right. He kept his hands on her waist and watched her in complete—and drunk—admiration, his eyes wide at her smile that was staring up at him.

Jules could tell Hawk was already wasted and raised her eyebrows, trying her hardest not to laugh when he brought one of his hands from her waist and to her cheek. "You okay?" She asked and Hawk felt his heart flip at how soft her voice sounded.

He smiled down at Jules, nodding his head as he swayed. "Yeah, yeah. I'm good." He stumbled over his words, making Jules roll her eyes and smile. "Let's get you some water, yeah?" She asked, leading him to the cooler and Hawk drunkenly nodded, muttering a small "yeah" as he trailed behind her.

...

After a couple drinking games, Jules was just as drunk as Hawk.

Her vision swayed slightly, the alcohol making everything soft and hazy. Her attention was on someone she didn't know who was upside down, balanced on their friends' shoulders, chugging beer from the keg.

The crowd counted loudly, the numbers blurring into a rhythmic chant. Jules watched as if she was in a trance.

"I want to do it." Jules murmured and Hawk, who was leaning against the table beside her, turned to see where Jules was looking and immediately grinned. Hawk raised an eyebrow, half-amused, half-concerned as he turned back to his girlfriend. "Are you sure?"

Jules shrugged, her confidence stronger from the alcohol. "I just have to do a handstand and drink, right? How hard could it be?" Despite her words and casual demeanor, a tiny voice inside her whispered that it would be more challenging than she let on but she shook it off.

Joey, who was on the other side of Hawk, let out a loud, cackling laugh and moved around to stand in the other side of the girl. He pat Jules on the back, drunkenly looking off to the now open keg. "Hell yeah, Jules! Let's do it!"

The trio made their way through the crowd, Jules feeling a surge of adrenaline with each step. She could hear the encouragement and chatter from the people around her as she stepped up to the keg, but all she could focus on was the keg and creating a plan in her head.

Jules handed her drink to Hawk, who watched her with a big, encouraging smile.

"Alright, let's see what you've got," Joey said as Hawk leaned in towards Julianna's ear from behind. "You've got this." He whispered, making sure only she heard before he moved around to kiss her cheek.

Jules took a deep breath, shaking her hands as if preparing for a big leap. She looked back to Hawk and Joey and nodded. Once she got into position, the two boys each grabbed one of her legs and helped flip her. The spout was in her mouth, and with a nod, she began to drink.

The world spun in seconds, but she focused on the rush of cold beer and the cheers echoing around her. Each second felt longer than the last and she was getting a little nauseous, but the cheering around her seemed to make her keep going.

"Fifteen! Sixteen! Seventeen!" The crowd's counted down.

Finally, feeling her muscles strain as the crowd got to thirty-five, she signaled to be lowered. Her feet touched the ground, and the world righted itself. Her step stumbled a little and Hawk jumped to wrap her into his arms as everyone around them watched her worriedly.

When she smiled and threw a fist in the air, the whole room cheered for the girl. Some kids came over to clap her on the back and offer high-fives but Jules paid no mind to them, her eyes glued on Hawk in front of her.

"Told you I could do it." Jules teased and Hawk laughed. He leaned down and pressed a kiss to her lips. It was messy considering they were both drunk and when they pulled away, Jules laughed at the beer covering her mouth.

"Where's my vacuum?" Zenker yelled as Jules wiped her mouth. It was as if Joey sobered up in seconds, his eyes filled with fear as he quickly side stepped to stand behind Hawk so he was out of Zenker's eyesight. "Hide me!" Joey whispered and Hawk, who was still drunk out of his mind, tensed, not daring to move.

Zenker ended up seeing Kyler with Miguel and walked towards them. "Yo, vacuum. Clean this up."

Kyler looked down at the ground covered in popcorn and licorice. He looked back up at Zenker and shook his head. "Nah, man, I'm good."

"Hey!" Zenker yelled, making every head in the room turn to him. He took another step closer to Kyler, growing angry. "Listen, Shitbreath. You want in, get on the ground, and be the vacuum." He threatened.

Miguel furrowed his brows at Zenker, taking a step to stand closer to him and Kyler. "Is he getting in?" Miguel asked and Zenker turned to Miguel, his lips starting to curl in anger. "How about you stay out of this?"

Jules, knowing that if Miguel kept going a fight could break out, looked away from the three and to Hawk and Joey beside her. It was like they were thinking the same thing as her because at the same time, the three of them started walking towards Miguel, Kyler and Zenker.

They watched as Kyler got onto the floor and Zenker came up behind him, grabbing his legs and raising them in the air. "Suction mode, on." He yelled and Kyler lowered himself further to the ground, eating the popcorn and licorice off the floor.

Jules cringed as the room started to fill with laughter. Kyler ate probably about five pieces of candy before Miguel shoved Zenker, making him drop Kyler. "Enough!" Miguel yelled and Zenker glared at him

"Why don't you tell him the truth? Tell them both the truth." Miguel said, looking between Joey and Kyler, who got off the floor and spat the food out.

Joey looked at Miguel with a confused look. "Miguel, what are you talking about?" He asked as Kyler looked at Miguel with the same look. "Yeah. Truth about what, man?"

Instead of Miguel answering, Zenker did, taking a step closer to the two with a big smirk. "Well, we had a good run." He said, slapping his hand onto Joey's shoulder. The action made Lexi and Demetri, who were standing a couple feet away, practically sprint over. "The truth is that you two are never, and I mean never, getting into this frat."

Jules watched as Kyler and Joey's face fell. Kyler nodded his head glumly as Joey looked down to the ground. Kyler turned around, taking a cup out of a random girls hand and turning back to Zenker. "Your loss."

Kyler raised his hand and poured the alcohol onto Zenker. Since the boy was wearing a hat, the drink only went onto his hat and seeped into his shirt.

Joey's jaw clenched as his anger started to grow by the second. He took his sisters drink from beside him and let out a small sigh as he looked at Kyler. "Nah, Ky... You're better than me." Joey whispered with a shake of his head before he turned to Zenker.

Joey splashed his cup up, making sure the drink hit Zenker right in the face. The room gasped at Joey, who bit his inner cheek in anger. As one last "fuck you" to the older boy, Joey threw the cup itself at Zenker.

That seemed to be Zenkers final straw because in seconds, he yelled and went to throw a punch at Joey. Before Joey could dodge it, Kyler rose his arm and twisted Zenkers hand behind his back. "Bitch, don't you know we know karate?" Kyler asked before he punched Zenker in the face.

The punch sent Zenker sprawling to the ground, and in seconds, a handful of frat boys came running towards them.

Joey barely had time to react before one of the boys lunged at him. He sidestepped the first punch, and sent a swift kick to the guy's shin, making him stagger. Joey grabbed the boy's shirt and slammed him into a nearby table, sending drinks and chips flying.

Lexi noticed Zenker getting off the ground and running towards her brother and without a second thought, she sprinted towards him, leaping onto Zenker's back and wrapping her arms around his neck. "Don't fuck with my brother!" She screamed as Zenker tried to reach back and grab her head but she kept moving.

Zenker stumbled under Lexi's weight, trying to shake her off. Another frat boy ran towards them, aiming to pull Lexi off Zenker. Julianna's eyes widened. "Hey!" She yelled, running towards the boy. She rammed herself into him, driving her knee into his stomach and sending him reeling back into Miguel, who immediately began trading punches with him.

Jules turned just in time to see another boy charging at her. She ducked under his punch just before it could hit her and sent her own punch into his gut. As he leaned forward, holding his stomach in pain, Jules spun around and kicked him across the face, sending him to the floor.

Jules barely had time to catch her breath before she heard someone scream her name. She spun around to see Lexi struggling with another boy. When the two girls locked eyes, Jules nodded her head.

Lexi threw the boy towards Jules, kicking his back to make him stumble. Jules got on the ground, sweeping the boy's feet out from under him. As he hit the ground on his back, Jules, still on the ground, raised her foot and slammed it down onto his chest, knocking the wind out of him.

Jules got off the ground, running a hand through her hair to get it out of her face as she looked down at the boy. She gave him a fake confused look and threw her arms out by her side. "Is that all you've got? Bro?"

From across the room, Joey noticed Zenker grab a glass bottle and raise it to hit Kyler on the head. Just before he could hit the boy, Joey grabbed Zenkers wrist. Zenker looked at Joey with wide eyes but Joey only shook his head. "I don't think so, man." Joey whispered before he wrapped Zenkers arm around his own so he couldn't move.

Kyler raised his knee, knocking the glass bottle out of Zenkers hand and into the air. Joey caught the bottle and brought it down onto Zenkers head, knocking him out.

Jules suddenly felt a pain shot through her back as she fell to the floor in front of her, someone behind her kicking her. She turned onto her back to see who had attacked her, and her eyes widened when she saw the boy she rejected earlier in the night. The boy raised his leg to stomp on her face but Jules was quick to raise her own foot and kick the boy between his legs.

She rushed to stand up as the boy groaned in pain, his hands going to his crouch. While he was still leaning over in pain, Jules kick him again, this time in his stomach.

As the boy stumbled back, he collided with Hawk, who grabbed his shoulder firmly. The boy's eyes widened in fear as Hawk glared at him. "I think my girlfriend told you earlier to leave her alone." Hawk said, his voice low before he punched him square in the face, knocking him out cold.

Jules and Hawk watched the boy hit the ground, and after a couple of seconds, they looked up at each other. Hawk gave her a silent look that asked if she was okay. Jules took a deep breath and nodded her head. They both looked around the room and noticed Lexi, Demetri, Joey, Kyler, and Miguel had all finished their fights too.

Hawk threw his hands in the air victoriously. "Let's go!" He screamed, running towards Jules and pulling her into a tight hug as the rest of their friends cheered.

Jules looked at her friends from over Hawk's shoulder, her eyebrows furrowing when she didn't see Brucks. She pulled away and looked around the room. "Wait! Where's Brucks?"

They all turned their heads at the sound of someone screaming and saw Brucks on the other end of the room, lifting a boy off the ground and throwing him onto the foldable table in front of him.

Jules gasped, jumping back and accidentally ramming herself into Hawk's chest. Hawk wrapped his arms around her waist as Brucks looked down at the boy he had just thrown into the table. "Get brucksed!" He yelled and everyone else cheered, throwing their arms in the air in victory.

Lexi looked around and noticed the frat boys starting to get up. She immediately started hitting Miguel and Demetri, who stood beside her. "Let's go! Let's go!" She yelled and they all ran out of the frat house.

...

Joey and Kyler offered to take everyone to the campus' dining hall, making it clear they would use their meal points for everyone so they wouldn't have to pay.

While Joey and Lexi went to order everyone's food, Demetri and Eli said they were going to get more info about MIT from Brucks and followed him to the Pac-Man game across the room.

This left Miguel, Jules, and Kyler alone to find a table for their group. It was a little difficult since they were a group of eight but after a couple minutes, a table opened and they scrambled over to sit down and claim it.

It seemed like all the hatred and bad blood Kyler had towards the two of them was wiped clean when he went to college. He talked to Jules and Miguel as if they were some of his closest friends, my kids he tormented in high school.

"My dad, he was super pissed when I didn't get into any schools. I agree. I slacked off. I'm a freaking idiot, guys." Kyler laughed out but behind his laugh, he sounded upset with himself.

Jules frowned as Kyler's smile fell and he turned to look down at the table. "You know, I had goals. I had dreams." He looked back up to Miguel and Jules, shrugging. "I just didn't stick with them. You know what I mean?"

Miguel and Jules both nodded. "Yeah." Jules muttered as Miguel gave Kyler a small frown. "Actually, I do."

"Like, I could've gone to a great party school not a safety party school." Kyler said, making Jules shut her eyes and sigh, holding back shaking her head. Kyler moved to lean across the table to be closer to her and Miguel, smiling. "The safety is always gonna be there. You gotta chase after that damn dream."

Jules was shocked that Kyler's words actually moved her. She blinked in shock, a small smile growing on her face. "That's actually really good advice, Kyler." Jules said as Lexi and Joey came over with their groups food.

"You think West Valley High will let me back in?" Kyler asked and Lexi, who didn't hear any of the previous conversation, looked at Kyler with a confused squint as she sat down two seats away from Kyler so Joey could sit between them.

"Why would you—" "Hey, are you the guys that got into that fight at the Theta Omega house?" The group turned their heads to see who interrupted Lexi and saw a boy from another frat with his eyebrows raised as he looked at all of them, waiting for an answer.

Joey, thinking that the boy was mad that them, scoffed, taking his seat between Kyler and Lexi. "Those guys are assholes. They deserved it."

The frat boy smiled at Joey, placing a hand on his shoulder. "I'm guessing you're the kid that knocked out Zenker?" He asked and Joey finally realized the guy was happy they fought at the frat. Joey smiled and turned to Kyler beside him, wrapping an arm around his shoulders.

"It was a two man job actually. Couldn't have done it without my boy, Kyler." Joey explained and the frat boys smile widened as he laughed. "Legends! Listen guys, if you guys are looking for another house, you're in."

Everyone smiled at his words, Joey and Kyler looking at each other and laughing quietly as the frat boy continued. "No hazing. Just, uh, as long as you two can be that badass all the time."

Kyler nodded, almost star struck with the boy standing over him. "Sounds sick, man."

"Come by tomorrow." The boy explained. Joey and Kyler quickly nodded their heads and watched as the boy walked away from their table and back to his own.

Once he was far enough away, Joey and Kyler turned to face each other. "Hell yeah, J-Dog!" Kyler cheered, pulling Joey into a side hug.

Lexi watched the two boys beside her with a disgusted look before she turned to Miguel and Jules across the table from her. "Never gonna get used to this." She said, making them laugh.

Jules shook her head as she sipped her soda, still laughing. "Oh, never."

...

On the drive home, Miguel and Jules got a text from Johnny saying the pipe was fixed and Miguel, Carmen, and Yaya could go back to their apartment. They were the first ones to get dropped off since Demetri, who was the only sober one, was driving and lived the furthest from them.

Jules walked into her home and when she saw Miguel and Robby's things moved out of the living room, she let out a relieved breath, glad she got proof the her dad was telling the truth.

She tiredly walked to her room; her back killing her from the frat boys kick and she could already feel a hangover headache growing.

Jules opened her door and froze when she saw her bed was gone and was now replaced by a bunk bed. Robby, sprawled out on the bottom bunk, looked up from his phone and smirked when he saw his sister in the doorway.

"No he fucking didn't." Jules said slowly, holding back her laugh. Robby just smiled at her tilting his head as if to say "yes he fucking did."

"Hey, roomie."
