Saguru could just kick himself, Kaito had been awake in his care for less then 20 minutes and he'd already lost him. He hurried out of the room so that he could start searching for the tiny magician. Kaito couldn't have gotten into too much trouble already, right? He grimaced, if young Kaito was anything like his older self, he'd somehow find a way to cause as much trouble as he could... If he were Kaito, where would he be? The magician wasn't one to be cooped up, so he should probably check outside first.

When he did check outside, the poor blond almost had a heart attack. Kaito was hanging upside down in the big oak in his yard, almost 10 feet in the air. That was a height that could seriously harm the small boy if he were to actually fall.

Indigos lit up as Kaito spotted Saguru, he let go of the branch with his hands so that he was dangling by his legs "Hello!" He grinned, waving happily at the other. This tree was awesome, the branches were so nice.

"K-Kaito" Saguru ran over, standing below the boy as he held his arms up "Get down from there" Of course the maniac would climb something...

Kaito stared at Saguru for a few moments before an impish grin spread across his face "No!" He latched on to the branch with his arms like a koala. He wasn't hanging down as low anymore, the other couldn't reach him!

Saguru paled, as he watched the boy start to climb up even higher. Dear lord... He glanced around nervously before jumping up at the tree, clumsily climbing up onto one of the lower branches. He wasn't that skilled at tree climbing. The branch dipped under his weight but stood strong. When he glanced towards Kaito, he was alarmed to see that the boy had already made a lot of progress, and was now shimmying across a branch towards the roof "Kaito stop!" He couldn't let him get onto the roof.

The boy paused, looking back at him, indigos gleaming "No wanna" He then turned away and began to reach for the roof.

He really pitied the magician's parents for having to deal with such antics. He did his best to scurry up the tree, branches occasionally snapping under his weight. Thankfully he'd always kept a hold on other branches before stepping onto a new one. Saguru let out a breath, his body wasn't suited for tree climbing.

"Saguru-niichan!" Kaito called, tone excited "Look at me!" Saguru paled further, Kaito was standing on the roof with his arms raised, a silly grin spread across his face. He twirled, showing off.

"Don't move!" Please just let the maniac listen to him for once? He really didn't want the other to fall from the roof. His house was quite tall and he wasn't sure how any damage would transfer over once Akako brought them the cure.

"No! I-" Kaito's words were cut off as he slipped on some dry leaves.

Gold widened, he barely even thought before lunging forwards. The next thing the blond knew was pain, all the air had been knocked out of him. Everything went black.

"Saguru-niichan!" Kaito quickly wormed his way out of the other's protective hold, biting his lip as he shook Saguru and got no response. The blond had caught him midair and had sheltered him from the fall. Kaito glanced around, eyes watery as tears threatened to fall. He'd gotten Saguru hurt, maybe even really hurt. A few sniffles escaped him, he didn't know what to do. He started crying.

"Oh poor boy" Kaito sniffed, rubbing his eyes to see a very pretty lady with red hair and eyes.

"Can you help him?" Kaito inquired, voice soft as he watched the lady check Saguru's head.

After a few moments of checking the blond open, she shook her head "No, but you can if you drink this" She held out a small glass vial, it had a pretty violet liquid inside of it.

Kaito blinked, wiping away his tears "Really?" The pretty lady nodded, he grinned "Okay!" He accepted the vial, drinking it, grimacing at the yucky taste.

"You owe me one because I helped you okay?" She inquired, patting him on the head. Kaito nodded, feeling confused before the lady suddenly vanished. He opened his mouth to voice his confusion, only to let out a hiss and crumple to the floor, vision blurring before fading completely.

When Kaito regained consciousness, he was himself again. He also remembered everything. He swiftly looked the detective over before breathing out a sigh of relief, Saguru would be fine, he'd just have a bump on his head when he woke up "Sorry" He couldn't help but grimace, his younger self had been a real pain in the but for the blond.

Since he owed him, Kaito awkwardly carried Saguru back inside, plopping him down on the couch. There was no way that he'd be able to manage carrying the other up the stairs to the bedroom. Saguru was taller than him. He then went and snatched an ice pack from the freezer, wrapping it in a towel before laying it against the other's head. That should help with any swelling.

Saguru grimaced as he woke up, his head hurt a lot, and his back was also sore "Good you're awake"

The blond glanced over to see Kaito kneeling next to him. He let out a relieved breath, Kaito was himself again "You were such a hellion" He groaned, reaching up at his head.

Kaito offered a sympathetic smile, indigos soft "I'm sorry" He offered the other a new ice pack "But thanks for looking out for me" Saguru was a good friend.

Saguru snorted, accepting the ice pack "Of course I did" Gold gleamed "I feel sorry for your parents who had to deal with that every single day" God how had Kaito not gotten himself killed? No wonder he'd taken to being Kid so well.

"I was better with my parents" The magician pouted. If he was bad, his dad wouldn't teach him some new magic tricks. So he was obviously a lot better behaved around him.
