Marty's POV:
We pulled up to the Cedar Cove police station, the tires on the car screeching to a stop. I quickly got out of the car, not even waiting for Mike to put it in park. A cop with blonde hair came down the stairs, pretty blonde hair. His tag read Hansen. I stumbled going up and he caught me. "Are you ok?" He asked me. I stared up at him. "Yeah." I replied. "Dave!" Debbie said. The cop in front of me looked to her and said "Debbie? Are you ok?" He practically dropped me when he ran over to her. Mike noticed and said "hey, jerk. Just drop her why don't you?" Dave turned to me and said "I apologize." And he turned back around to Debbie. Mike helped me up. Misty crossed her arms over her chest as she looked at Dave. Sean looked him up and down and said "Jesus." Dave looked at him and before he could say a snarky remark, Debbie told him someone had been killed. Dave made us all go inside and he sat us down.

"They were in a spaceship! And they had these cotton candy cocoons." Debbie said. Dave looked at us like we were stupid. "And where did this happen?" He said. "We were at the top of the world and saw the shooting star. So we went to check it out." I said. Dave looked at me and then looked at Debbie and Mike. "You two were at the top of the world together?" He was beginning to piece it together. "Yeah." Debbie said in a defense tone.

Another cop walked in and said "I can't believe what I'm hearing. Killer clowns from outer space. Please tell me you're not falling for this, Mr. Police Academy." "Mooney, I know how it sounds. But they said someone had been killed." Dave said. Mooney looked at Debbie and said "where?" "At the top of the world." "I was just there! There's nothing going on." Mooney replied. A soft scoff left Debbie's lips and Mooney looked at Mike and I. "I know you. I know your sister too. You hang out with the Terenzi brothers. And drive around with them in that damn truck those hooligans drive around in. I've seen you causing a whole heap of trouble, missy." Mooney said as he lowered himself to my level. "Leave her alone." Mike said as he stepped forward. Dave grabbed Mooney and said "Mooney." The older cop stepped back and I stared at him. "Rich and Paul aren't hooligans." Mike looked down at me and Dave said "I'm going to take these kids out of here. I'll go figure out what's going on." Mooney sat down at his desk and said "hurry up, Dave. Before the big bad clowns get us all." Dave ushered us all out of the police station. Sean rolled his eyes and said "you don't even believe us." "I'm trying to understand what's going on. I'm going to check. Nobody else's would do that." Dave said. Mike went to get in his car and Dave shook his head. "We'll all new riding in my cruiser. So everyone can leave your cars here." Sean scoffed and said "no way." Misty looked at her boyfriend and said "it'll be fine." "You'd better protect us, Mr. Police Academy." I mumbled. Dave looked at me and said "I'll do whatever it takes. As long you're telling the truth." "Who has time in their day to make up a lie like this?" I asked. Dave sighed and said "a lot of people."

Tbh I think this book is better since I'm rewriting it.
