Misty's POV:
Marty and the Terenzi brothers had disappeared. Dave insisted that we continued on. "Dave, my little sister is in here somewhere. And we're not leaving her behind." Mike said. Dave looked at him and said "I'll make sure nothing happens to her. And I'm sure Rich wouldn't either. But right now we have to find Debbie." Mike nodded and then said "what do you mean?" "What?" "About Rich?" Dave went to open his mouth and I said "he's really overprotective over her, Mike. He always has been. Hasn't he?" Mike made a face like he was thinking about it. "Yeah, I think so." Dave shook his head and walked forward. "I think Rich likes Marty." Margo said. I immediately shushed her, knowing my best friend's crush on the ice cream slinging boy. Both Mike and Dave turned around to look at her. "She likes ice cream boy?" Dave said. Mike rolled his eyes and said "that's my friend, asshole." Dave put his hands up in defense and said "I was asking a question. I didn't peg her to be the type of girl to like a guy like Rich Terenzi. That's all." Mike put his hands on his hips, looking like someone's dad. "Oh yeah? What kind of girl do think she is?" Dave didn't answer. "Oh my god." Sean said. "Do you have a crush on Marty? You only met her tonight." I said. Dave stuttered to get a sentence out and Mike said "god! There's no way Marty's dating you!" Dave scoffed and said "at least I could protect her! Rich can barely defend himself!" Mike went to open his mouth and Margo said "aren't we gonna find Debbie? Can't you guys fight over Marty later? I know she's pretty but sheesh!" Margo went to lead the way and Dave stopped her, telling her that he'd lead. Mike huffed and Margo said "come on, Mike." "He happens to be Debbie's old boyfriend and now he's in love with my sister."

We arrived in a room full of cotton candy cocoons. Mike said "they probably have the whole town in here!" Dave looked around and said "what color balloon was Debbie in?" "Yellow." Mike said. A door opened and Sean said "what was that?" Mike looked to where we came in and Dave said "hide." He took Margo's hand and we all went to hide. Mike snuck behind the cocoons, making sure he wasn't seen. Sean made sure him and I were hidden. "It's a clown." Margo whispered.

"He can't see us." Dave said. We watched the clown walk into the room, pulling a silly straw from it's pocket. Mike's eyes widened as the clown stuck the straw in the cocoon in front of it. Red crimson liquid filled the straw and entered the clowns mouth. "Blood." Sean said. Margo gasped and Dave covered her mouth. Mike stared in shock and said "Paul was right, man! They're gonna eat everybody, man!" Dave grabbed Mike by his arms and said "calm down! They're not going to eat us." Dave was trying to get Mike to calm down who was terrified.

"W-What if they already ate Marty? I'll never forgive myself." Mike said as he ran a shaky hand through his hair. "Hey, I'm sure Marty's fine. Her, Rich and Paul are going to get themselves out of whatever jam they're in. Marty's smart. Always has been." I said. Mike nodded and took a breath. "Nothing's going to happen to her. I'll make sure of it." Dave told Mike. "Is that the balloon Debbie was in?" I said. Mike and Dave both looked over. We walked over to it and Mike tried to pop the balloon but nothing happened. Dave pulled out his pistol and aimed it at the balloon. "What're you doing?" Mike said. Dave looked at him and said "stand back, Mike." "You could kill her!" "I'm not gonna kill her! Just stand back!" He shot the balloon and Debbie fell out of it, Dave catching her before Mike. She clung to the both of them and Mike said "are you ok?" "I couldn't breathe." Debbie replied. Sean looked around and said "we should go. Like now." Mike helped Debbie to her feet and we left the cocoon room. The clowns were hot on our tails. Margo was running in front of me as was Debbie. Debbie quickly took ahold of her hand and Dave shot the clowns to keep them away from us. We made it into a room that had no clowns in it. "Are we safe?" Debbie said. Sean nodded and said "for now."

This is short but next chapter will make up for it!
