Wednesday at lunch, Rain and Mal are greeted by a swarm of girls thanking them for their new hair, Jay walks up to Mal whilst Rain goes to her locker - the one right next to Mal's. The only part she gets from the conversation is that Jay is questioning what the VK's are doing.

So was Rain.

As she searches for her pencil case, she can hear Ben and Audrey talking.

"Do you think they actually paid for those?" she asks ridiculously "They did it to Jane's hair, too, and Fairy Godmother's not happy about it,"

"What's the harm?"

"It's gateway magic! Sure, it starts with the hair. Next thing you know It's the lips and the legs and the clothes and then everybody looks good and then... where will I be?" Rain snorts, she sounded like a certain purple fairy.

"Listen, Audrey..." his eyes roll so hard, Rain thinks they might get stuck there.

"Put her in her place Bennyboo," Rain mutters, glancing up at the two figures.

"I will see you after my dress-fitting for the coronation, okay?" She ignores him and then's gone "Bye, Bennyboo."

"Bye..." he almost flinches away from her kiss on the cheek.

Rain takes her chance, grabs the cookies from her locker and slams her locker shut "Hey Bennyboo!" he turns around, a slight smile on his face.

"Uh, hey,"

"I just made a batch of cookies." she waves the bag at him "Lonnie said they're double chocolate chip? I don't know, she just added them. Do you want one?"

"Oh, I would love one, but uh I've got Tourney practice and just had lunch. But thank you so, so much. Thank you. Next time. Next time." he rambles and starts to walk away

"No, yeah. I completely understand. 'Be careful of treats offered by kids of villains'," Rain smiled, but was genuinely slightly offended

"No, no, no"

"No, I'm sure Audrey would have your head if she found out," Rain sighs and opens the bag

"No, that's not it. No, no, no, I... I really do... I don't do everything Audrey says-"he tries to defend himself

"No, I get it. You're cautious. That's smart. Attractive," she winks " Oh, well, more for me and Mal I guess." she turns to Mal who's pretending not to listen, Rain slowly brings a cookie from the bag to her lips but Ben grabs it before it can touch her mouth and takes a huge bite.

"No, no. Hey... see that? Totally trust you. Totally" The other VK's start to walk up.

"How are they?"

"They're good. They're great! They're amazing!" he lists off compliments "Best cookies I've ever had!"

"Made with love," Rain smirks and Ben almost giggles, he goes in for another bite "I uh wouldn't eat the whole thing - oh too late,"

"How are you feeling bro?" Jay asks when he reaches them.

"I feel... I feel...really good!" Ben grins and pats Jay on the back "Thanks man!" the VKs watch him walk away.

"Well that went well," Carlos comments

"Think it worked?" Rain asks just before Ben jumps off the top step and onto the grass by the lunch tables.

"Definitely," Evie smirks

Friday comes pretty soon,  Ruby keeps her promise to take Rain shopping, and soon, they're getting off a bright blue bus and standing in a large mall.

"This is..."

"Amazing!" Evie squeals

"Overwhelming," Rain finishes and Ruby gives her a soft smile, Mal looks around in disgust, a pair of sunglasses perched on her nose.

"We don't have to go to every store," Ruby reassures, "My brother's girlfriend taught me to make a list," She leads them through the different shops, small boutiques, and large chains included, Rain is soon thrown into dressing rooms, and made to twirl in red dresses - she even tries something yellow and doesn't hate it.

They soon find themselves in 'Golden Tapestry', a Corona-inspired store. Ruby seems to be a regular here as she gets lots of curtsy's and smiles. "It's custom to wear the Auradon colours at the Tourney games, and if you wanna impress Ben and look girlfriend material, you need to be sporting some blue and gold,"

Rain chokes on her Lavender tea.

"What?!"

"Oh! I didn't tell you," Ruby is incredibly casual about this and Mal smirks, god this girl was helping them and didn't even know it "The rumour is that he finally broke up with Audrey, no one's seen her since yesterday's lunch and Ben's been like noticeably happier already,"

"Damn," Evie mutters "He moves quick,"

"So anyway," Ruby turns around and bites the straw of her soft drink"I know this is more Coronian style, but it's the best store here - and I'm not biased. Also, it has loads of dark purple stuff for you Mal,"

"Oh...thanks,"

Once they've been pressured to let Ruby buy them all something, the group splits up, Ruby and Mal go to look at the Art supply - Mal promising to get Rain a new sketchbook - while Evie checks out the fabric store and Rain enters a drug store looking for some hair dye.

"Nope, don't want Mermaid Red, or Scottish Ginger," she mutters, laughing slightly at the names "Gothel..." She finds a dark red one and picks it up...maybe she should get 2.

She meets up with everyone at the foot court, and finds Mal laughing at something Ruby's said, Evie raises an eyebrow at Rain: something was happening there.
