*Stella*

I woke up to the dull Romanian sun shining dimly against my tired sleepy eyes

I looked over at the nightstand table, seeing the picture of Kier. It was taken a year before.... the incident.

I sigh, holding back tears as i got up and pulled on my night gown robe and exited my room, going down the halls towards the dining hall.

Allow me to introduce myself and tell you a bit about myself. I am Stella Klova Barrone. My older brother is Cyrus.

I am 20 years old, and i am the leader of the town's vampire slayers' society

Me, Cyrus, and our friends make up the vampire team protecting the small Transylvania town we grew up in.

Cyrus and I, however, were raised by Russian immigrants after our parents were killed in a fire that burned our home. Our Russian family was then murdered by vampires after my 6th birthday.

Cyrus and I were taken by the church and met Drew, Laurence, Drew, Luke, and the man i was going to marry, Kier.

All lead equal stories with vampires like me and Cyrus.

Kier and I grew up very close, and then admitted his love for me, even proposed a few days before his demise.

We all trained for years to kill the vampires, but our last big mission ended up with Kier sacrificing himself. His body was never found.

I now kill vampires with more vengeance than ever. For my Russian family, who were kind and generous, and for Kier.

I arrived, to see Cyrus and Luke already eating breakfast.

"There you are, sister. god morning," Cyrus greeted me. He gt up as we embraced each other and kissed each other's cheeks.

"Good morning, brother," i said as i sat down next to him.

He then placed a hand gently on my cheek. "You seem more exhausted. We're you up late??" he asked.

"A bit. Still pondering thoughts," i admitted.

"Might as well have some strong coffee for you. There's a memorial today for Evangeline," Luke said.

Soon the others came by and the sisters served us breakfast, the Monsignor came, and we got up and bowed in respect.

"My children, good morning," he said.

"Good morning, Monsignor," we all said in unison before he told us to take a seat, and took his place at front.

"Now, children, good work last night defeating the one of many vampires terrorizing this town. I understand, however, we suffered a loss," he said.

"The butcher's daughter, Monsignor," Drew said.

"Ahh, dear Evangeline Golcks. God now saves her soul in Heaven. She even wanted to join teh Convent," he said.

"We were too late to save her, Monsignor," i said.

"I understand. But i will appear for her father this evening, pay respects. I will leave you with a new assignment," he said.

"Which is, Monsignor?" Laurence asked.

"Rumors are that a new coven of vampires have been spotted. Finish them off, before we have another blood bath," he said.

"Stella can take them, Monsignor. She's strong," Cyrus said.

"I know our Stella is skilled. I trust her in leading this mission," he said.

I stood up and walked up, bowing to the Monsignor.

"Thank you, Monsignor," i said.

"No need to bow, my dear. You're work shows enough respect," he said, placing his hand on my shoulder.

I stood straight and then he left us to continue our breakfast and prepare for training for tonight.

As Drew and me, the first ones to finish, made our way to go wash up, i thought of Kier.

God, how i miss him. His kind eyes, his beautiful facial features, his strange hair, his kind personality. I still can't believe he risked his life for me. To this day, i regret not being fast enough.

"Stella, are you alright, you're eyes are glassy," Drew said.

I wipe the approaching tears.

"Memories, dear Drew. No worries," i said.

He nodded and we continued down the hall.
