Kelly Donovan never wanted kids, let alone triplets. Apparently it's a hereditary trait.

On April 1st 1993, Kelly Donovan gave birth to Victoria, Matthew and Quinn Donovan. Two girls and one boy. The irony of their birthdate wasn't lost on Kelly.

Thankfully, Kelly Donovan had Miranda Sommers-Gilbert to help her through. Miranda and her husband Grayson had been blessed with a baby girl called Elena the previous year. Kelly would be lying if she said that she wasn't jealous that Miranda barely showed during her pregnancy with Elena whilst Kelly looked like she was ready to burst from carrying three babies.

Little did Kelly know, that Miranda was as equally as jealous about the fact that Kelly was carrying three children of her own (that she didn't even really want) when Miranda couldn't even get a positive pregnancy test. Miranda joked that Kelly got her revenge when she fell pregnant with Jeremy and had to waddle everywhere she went.

When Elena was 28 months old (Kelly could never understand why parents didn't just use years to describe their children's ages), Miranda gave birth to Jeremy Gilbert.

The playgroup was complete.

Quinn was a girly-girl who loved playing with Elena's long hair, while Vicki and Jeremy preferred to race each other up the trees in the yard. Matt was more reserved, choosing instead to watch Grayson Gilbert fix his car by hand with acute fascination.

2009 was meant to be the year of 'sweet sixteens' and high school parties, not funerals and heartbreak...
